   The first email stated “ Dueling Pianos”, and this was what attracted us to the event. We would not have come just to have dinner. The noise level was way to high for our enjoyment. We suspect over 80 decibels. There were no pianos in the room, just a keyboard and a guitar. Was this the supposed “DUEL” ? Attendees: Peter and Dawn Doyle; Scott and Heather Anderson On previous visits to the Grill, we have enjoyed breakfast or brunch, particularly when we could eat outside on the veranda in warm weather. It is very disappointing that you no longer this type of meal service.

   I find the menu was very suitable especially since I frequent the Marshs' mainly because of the Dueling Piano show and like the variety of food offered. I can have either a larger entre when I arrive early or have some of your delicious side order dishes if i don't want a full meal. Great service by staff.

   'very disappointing that the menu on the website was not what was on offer at the venue. When you are going out for dinner, you do not want to be offered a menu with so few options, virtually all of which your wife cannot eat. fortunately the Dueling Pianos made up for the disaster of food. Next time we will eat before going.

   Went there for a quick meal with a client and the ambiance was relaxing yet professional! We were overlooking outside, the restaurant is well ventilated and the food was amazing. I got the club sandwich and the food was great!

   The food was tasty but portions were small and we miss the larger menu. The penne pasta and the flat breads (was really looking forward to the delicious flat bread with the pears). Our waitress was lovely and nice, had to keep flagging her or the hostess down though for more water or salt and pepper. Dueling pianos was amazing as always. Noise level in general was so loud though.

   Sadly, l was sick to my stomach before even leaving the restaurant. The buffalo chicken wrap tasted good while eating it, but definitely something about it didn’t ageee with me. We really enjoyed the dueling pianos entertainment.

    The was nobody to greet us, seat us, take our orders, bring us menus or serve us. Obviously the restaurant was not functioning that day. Not sure why my reservation was accepted and later confirmed. I even received an email that morning indicating they were expecting us.

    We went to see Dave Kalil’s Duelling Pianos. The food was average, the ambiance nice and the performance was fantastic which made for an enjoyable evening.

    The server who welcomed us forgot about us. We waited 20 minutes for her to get our order. We finally went inside and notified another server and subsequently the new server was very attentive. The food was excellent.

    We all enjoyed our evening although were a little disappointed that there was only one piano. It was still a very good show but we might have chosen a different night had we known.

    This was my first time at this evenue...was happy for the live music, venue is spacious and appropriate for this type of event. Our server could not have been more pleasant! People in attendance were of similar demographic...which is good.

    The place is beautiful! We went for wing night and had a reservation of 10 people. The waitress was awesome but was the only one working so service was slow. She was very pleasant and did excellent considering it was wing night and she was the only person on ! Our wings however were not great . Very small, no meat and some even not cooked properly! I don’t ever complain as I own my own restaurant but feel you should know, we did tell the server as well. Just thought you should know since we were very excited about sledding in for wing night at your beautiful place but were all disappointed in the wings .

    The singer and the acoustics spoilt the entire evening. She was diabolically bad. Plus the speakers were cranked up so loud as to make conversation even at the periphery of the room impossible. The food and service was good. Forget about the entertainment. Most folks want a pleasant evening conversing with fellow guests not this.

    This was a Valentines dinner with a special menu. Our waitress was very attentive, was aware of my allergies, very polite and courteous. The tomato soup, ceasar salad was exceptional, the rib eye was thin and was not the bedt however the garlic mashed and veggies we’re delicious. The dessert was fantastic.

    The service was excellent The food was mediocre and the side (potatoes and veggies) were cold. And it tasted like it was prepared way in advance. So no-one ate the sides. Was expecting the fireplace to be lit. A TV screen is not a great ambiance substitution. Entertainment was very good!!! Wine was excellent!!

    Only thing i didnt like is when we booked online there was no mention of only having 2 hrs to eat and enjoy the show we only found out uppon arrival and that sort of put a bummer on the night as we were planning on being there most of the night and now we had to find something to do after dinner

    Went here for the Valentine’s Day special dinner menu. The decor is very cozy, fieldstone, exposed beams lots of glass windows and nice romantic lighting. Service was excellent- so nice, friendly and polite! The food was delicious- I had the salmon and my husband had the prime rib along with soup, salad and dessert. The only negative was the evening’s entertainment. A solo guitarist/vocalist who sang really loudly throughout the entire meal. There were two giant speaker on either side of her for a relatively small room. It was so loud we couldn’t hear each other’s conversation. It was like a rock concert! Kind of out a damper on things. We were happy when she took a break. Would have been nice if she was playing softly. That’s all you needed for Valentine’s Day- just some romantic background music. Hope they re-think hat for next year!

    Yes for the music but not for the food. The Cobb meal was a lot of lettuce and not much else.never seen such a sparse serving of chicken anywhere ever. Nachos were fine though.

    The music was exceptional and we will definitely come again with friends next time! The food was good but would like to see a few more options for gluten free/celiac disease. We waited a long time for our food - another server would be a good idea. Hope you like our honesty!

    The heating in the place was off due to the boilers were being replaced. This is January in Ottawa. Instead of shutting down for the day, they stayed open. With coat on and shivering, we suffered through lunch.

    Second time in a week that I had booked lunch for a group of people at the Ironstone Grill. All in the party of 7 enjoyed their food and the service was excellent. I wold not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone who wnated great ambiance and casual fare.

    Our family has been going to the Ironstone Santa brunch for the last 5 years (since our little one's first Christmas) - we look forward to this every year! And as a bonus Santa remembered a non-red colored candy cane for my son this year as they remembered he was allergic to red dye! He is still so thrilled - he picked an orange striped one! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for that extra special touch! There was not hot chocolate this year so we hope you bring that back for next year. The food was excellent as always and the service was great! Thank you

    Had lunch with a group of 20 people. Food was very good, arrived on time and service was excellent. It is the second our group has had its Xmas lunch at this restaurant. The ambiance of the 2 story post and beam architecture is welcoming. I have eaten there many times. The menu is not extensive but is reasonably priced and the servings are generous. We certainly will go back.
