The haddock and chips is such a great dish. A nice portion of fries, salad and haddock. Their home made tartar sauce is AMAZING. I would highly recommend!
The black bean burger patty was over cooked and very crunchy around the edges. It was still palatable of course, but I hoped to provide some feedback that maybe it doesn’t need to be cooked as much. As usual, the squash Wellington and samosas were amazing. And my first try of the strawberry basil mojito was definitely worth it! Well done, as usual. We love this place.
Our second time dining here.our go to spot when in town for business. The salmon plate is superb.
An impromptu meal out with my husband and three daughters - the food was, as always, wonderful and beautifully served. Our server was attentive and helpful, the ambience was relaxed, and we had a great night.
I always enjoy going to Isaac's Way and tell everyone who is looking for a place to eat that they should go there. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious and I love the art on display. Best place in Fredericton to eat. I love that I'm a pescatarian, my husband is a vegetarian and my daughter is a meat lover and we can all sit down and enjoy a meal together outside of home.
Always a great experience. Had a birthday meal for two on my wife's special day. Excellent food and drink.
It just feels comfortable!! Food is extremely delicious. Local beverages and my wife really enjoyed her Caesar.
Prompt seating upon arrival for reservation. Server was attentive and professional. Overall very good dining experience.
Thank you Joanne for your 5 star review!
I always find there are nice veggie options here. Usually 1 or 2 in each of the menu sections. Tonight we enjoyed a smoky tofu carbonara which was delicious.
Thank you Nancy for your 5 star review! We are very happy that you enjoy our plant based dishes!
I usually like this place but our food was brought out before we finished our appetizer. My clams were quite over cooked. Sadly I hope that this is a one off.
Thank you JoeGuy for your feedback. It prompted us to re-evaluate our cooking time on the clams, as well as discuss the importance of timing with our servers. We apologize for the sub par food you received and please let us know if we can do anything for you at email@example.com.
The food was outstanding. The portions were plentiful and the flavor fabulous.
The service needs some improvements as the waitress was inattentive, slow with drinks, food and follow ups.
Food was served without utensils. We needed to locate our own, from another table. We had to ask multiple times for water refills throughout the dinner service as well as ordered beverages.
Thank you for your feedback, it helps us improve! We have new servers and your comments will help teach them the importance of efficient and attentive service. Very happy you enjoyed your meal!
One of my favourite dining spots, either for a casual lunch/dinner, or as on this occasion, a wedding anniversary dinner.
What kind words! Thank you Kate for the 5 star review.
Isaacs way is always our first choice for family event meals.
They offer vegan, gluten free, and meat-water options- which make it ideal for our dynamic family of eaters.
We had a waitress in training for this visit- and she did a great job at making sure our needs were met, even though it was busy and she was BRAND new to the menu and environment.
The new menu is FAB and we will definitely be back for more.
Thank you for the 5 star review Jessica! We are happy you like our new menu!
We had an amazing time. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to go back.
Thank you Kkidd for the 5-Star Review! Glad you enjoyed your visit!
The night we were there the service was a bit slow and the food for most of the table was not warm enough. The food was good and the server was friendly.
Thank you YvonneS for giving us feedback, it helps us to improve and keeps us on track. We will share these comments with the team. So very sorry your visit was under par.
We always have a wonderful time at Isaak’s Way; the food is great, the service was excellent and I love having the vault when we are a group!
Thank you Geri for the visit, and the 4-Star Review! Glad you enjoyed everything!
We visited this restaurant during a convention and I have to say that the way the staff handled the crowd was good. They were friendly and helpful, and the food was tasty and of good value. I would definitely recommend.
Thank you for the visit, and the 5-Star Review!
Our server was very rude. When one of our party asked about gluten free options .... her response was “did you read the menu?” When asked about soup of the day.... her response was “I’m taking drink orders right now”. She huffed and puffed with any interactions she had with our party of seven. Not quite the way we wanted to have our week start...... but don’t worry every other restaurant we went to made up for her terrible service.
Thank you for this feedback, we will most definitely bring this up with our wait staff. Poor service is unacceptable, and we will use your comments as a learning tool.
The service was amazing. We started with a shareable plate of avocado roasted red pepper toast. In description it states it is spiced, but it isn’t spicy at all. The bread appeared to be homemade and had a very thin crust. The key to this app is the red pepper sauce. There is a sprinkle of sunflower seeds on top of this app. To pair with the main of Pork Tenderloin with BBQ apricot sauce. We ordered an Italian Lamberti Pino Grigio.
The pork was cooked to medium, the inside was perfectly done and seasoned with a 5 spiced rub. They layer it on top of the apricot sauce and allow it to absorb he flavour. The pairing is unique and enjoyable. They serve it with a side of steamed rooted vegetables consisting of multicolored carrots and some oven backed potato wedges.
The pairing with Pino Grigio was nice and helped to accentuate the apricot flavours. The Pino is a bit sweeter than a Santa Margherita Pino. I really enjoyed this meal and was full at the end. I would recommend coming to Issac’s way
So glad you enjoyed your visit!
The service and ambiance was very good. Menu interesting. Waitress and chef accommodating re special diet. However both people who ordered salmon got stone cold meals. Other people at table got hot meals
My wife and I dined here while vacationing in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. The food and service were very good. The seating was also good as we had a booth but some of the tables are quite close together. The restaurant was moderately busy but still relatively quiet. It has a good menu and is nicely decorated with local art. It is situated on the bank of the St. John's River and has an outdoor seating area that likely is quite pleasant when the weather permits. Like all the other restaurants we dined at in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, even those highly rated in Open Table and at the upper end of the price range, the wine list was disappointing.
Thank you for the visit, and the 4-Star Review! Sorry you did not enjoy the wines. Would you have any to recommend to us?
Great atmosphere, Great food at affordable prices. The location is close to downtown and the service was exceptional.
Good food and service. The fish and chips were excellent
Pleasant evening, good food. Appreciated the Menu options, including vegan options.
I was hoping to love this place but too many things prevented mefrom awarding more than 3 stars.
Firstly, they allow dogs in the restaurant which I find disgusting.
Secondly, it took over three attempts to have someone light the tea candle at the table. I was hoping for ambiance on date night but no.
Thirdly, when I asked the server which wine she suggested would best complement my meal she informed me that red wine would be best. She was the Jon Snow of sommeliers, for sure. She knew nothing.
Fourthly, the kitchen served me a steak medium-well when I had requested it to be blue. Criminal!
The highlight of the evening had to be our hostess. She regaled us with the history of the building and even loaned us a reference book so that we could properly sate our curiousity. Well done, thank you for that!
I enjoy eating here, but the service is a bit i consistent. 50% of the time I go the coffee is cold and the food often takes a long time to arrive. I keep coming back though as the food is most’y Very good and the dining options in Fredericton are limited. The patio in the summer is nice.
Always love it here! The food is fresh and the quality matches the food I make at home!
3 rd visit in last 2 years. Great food and exceptional service
This spot is a winner with us. I find it a causal setting with amazing food. Wonderful kids menu as well.
A nice dinner with family while seated in the vault room. Our waitress was lovely and we were served promptly considering we were a large group and it was a busy evening.
Hostess was not especially friendly which was the only slughtly unpleasant part of the experience.
Great food with many vegetarian options!
Well, my mom liked it and said she wants me to bring her there again, so it must be good. ;) The seafood linguine was excellent!
GREAT service! The food was delicious, love the art pieces on the wall and we had a semi-private booth which was exactly what we were looking for. I would recommend Isaac's Way to anyone who is looking for great ambiance and friendly and professional service.
Very slow service. Waited an hour for our meal. Very noisy, very cold apparently the patio door could not be closed. Screaming babies behind us the whole time. Food was warm
They have an incredible Vegetarian and vegan menu, as well as great fish offerings
Two of our party had the lunch special, which was a ham and swiss cheese "panini". It wasn't, it was a grilled ham and cheese sandwich, as the bread was just sliced white bread. It came with (unadvertised and unwelcome) sliced dill pickles inside. The ham was so tough they took it out of the sandwich to try and eat with a knife and fork. Most of the sandwiches remained uneaten on the plate. On the other hand, the veggie burger was excellent.
Always a great menu, service and food. We go with our 9 and 10 year old and they love it too (and they don’t order from the kids menu). Service is kind and friendly. This place is a standard for us when in Fredericton.
This was the first time dining there for my husband. He so enjoyed the experience. Of course, I always love it there.
Excellent service and food. Our server, Megan, was great and brought the items quite quickly. The music was too energetic and not conducive to a relaxed dining experience. It got quite loud as diners had to try to talk over the music.
Delicious blackened salmon with hollandaise sauce was done to perfection. As always, a pleasure to dine at Isaac's Way!
Excellent food and really nice staff who were helpful and in great spirits. Reservations are a must. Timeline from ordering to getting the food was good.
The parking is a lie ;) . You may need to walk a ways to get to your food.
