    Restaurant and ambiance is very nice as expected. However, I found menu was lacking in options, and food and drink quality was not what I would expect. Service was good, as staff were friendly! Specifically ordered the butternut squash salad, where squash was undercooked and skin on which made it difficult to eat. For a lunch visit on Saturday, we were hoping for more brunch like menu options, but it is only available on Sundays. Lunch menu appeared to be similar if not the same as dinner menu.

    Pros: Most food was well above average (some was average); very busy and lively; diverse crowd from hipsters to families to couples etc. Prices are OK for an upscale restaurant. Cons: very loud and too bright, although they did turn down the lights eventually. Service was competent and friendly, but slower than expected. They were having computer problems so maybe that was the issue. Overall, I'd go back. Good spot for a date night or couples out etc.

    We were looking for upscale restaurant for quiet outing and conversation over dinner with friends. Food was ‘ok’.. Too much ambient noise to have relaxed/easy dinner conversation even though we selected an earlier sitting time (6:00). The look and feel of restaurant ambiance was not favourable to our expectation. Food service was pleasant but slow. The restaurant was full which could explain lack of promptness

    40 minutes ago NEW I dined at Isabelle for the first time last night. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated at our table. Our wonderful waitress, Elizabeth, arrived to take our order promptly and all of our food was brought out expeditiously. The food was perfectly seasoned and the portions were generous. I’d recommend the squash doughnuts, incredible, unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. My kudos to the chef for a flavourful dining experience. Isabelle is definitely on my list of favourites and I’m excited to come back again.

    We found the menu did not offer anything that really appealed to us. No soup option or winter foods like beef Bourgogne or lamb chops or comfort foods. Too many sweet potatoes in my dish. It just felt too many fancy things. Beef carpaccio was good as was the feta and bread appetizer. Very expensive .

    I had wanted to try this place for awhile. I had read some recent negative reviews and thought about changing the place but so glad that I didn't. I can only speak about my experience here. The venue itself is beautiful, the atmosphere and vibe of the restaurant was lively but not too loud that you couldn't hear your company's conversation. The service was exceptional from the moment I arrived, from the food and drink suggestions to our server coming back constantly to see how we were doing. I had the lobster linguini which was a generous portion that I wasn't expecting and the sauce was so delicious that I almost asked for bread to clean my plate with. My drink was the pear spritzer which I loved and also was a big wine glass serving. The dessert was so chocolatey which I also loved and just enough of a tasty treat. I would definitely return here. We had such an amazing night.

    Fantastic service from the staff and a beautiful venue. The food was terrible and bland, with no taste at all, which is so odd because these are the same owners as Spencer’s and Ancaster Mill, and the food is fabulous. We were very disappointed with the food, but the venue itself is gorgeous, and the waiter was lovely to deal with. Side note: when you order “fries,” you actually get massive potato wedges; seriously, it's a very random choice. Menu needs to be changed

    Had to wait about 30mins extra for a table at which point the hostess said we could wait at the bar and then returned 10mins later with a table right near the entrance. I’d say about 45mins after our reservation time we were seated and then the waiter took another 10-15mins to come allow us to order. Restaurant is too noisy for a quiet ambience. Server did not check on us more than once during the entire meal. Ordered two mains and had to wait an extra 40mins after the first main came out for the second one. This is due to the noisy restaurant. Appetizer wasn’t bad, 1st main was undercooked and 2nd main came out also undercooked and cold. Although it was a nicer restaurant, I wish the mains were a bigger portion, dessert was good but felt rushed to have it as the restaurant closes very early.

    Overbooked. Had reservations for 745. Sat at bar to wait for table. Couldn’t move our drinks to the table after we finally got it ? Sloppy program. Didn’t get table until close to 9. We left.

    Good but slow.Love the atmosphere, setting is great. Food was very tasty ....when it came. Almost 2 hours from the time we sat down until the mains arrived. Waiter was very attentive, but our sense was that the kitchen was overwhelmed by the large group upstairs in the private room. With so many great choices out there , not sure we will go back any time soon ( that was my 6th time ( lunch once) there in the last year.

    Our server was amazing and I am sorry I did not get his name: positive, professional, super courteous. I wish all serves were as passionate and polite as he. As for restaurant, a fun, up-beat spot and very cool. Feels like you're in Manhattan.
