J. Alexander's - W Bloomfield Ratings and Reviews
This location is always amazing!
Love your food. Good price point for us once a month or so, but a little pricey for ever day.
I took my mom out for her birthday her st
Great food and service. Salmon was perfectly done.
The coffee cured steak was truly exceptional and I was pleasantly impressed with both the quality of the meat and the taste! The Coal Fired Artichoke and Calamari are a must try!
CONSISTENT GOOD DINING EXPERIENCE. APPRECIATE AVAILABILITY OF RESERVATIONS.
Went with group of 5. All enjoyed their meals. The only modest complaint I have is that I think the place is a bit overpriced.
JAlexanders is usually consistent.. However, not this time... Waitress was very good- however food was not... Crab cakes were under done, had to return...
Reservations were for 7:30, didn't get seated until 8:00pm. You should not have to wait that long when you have reservations in advance.
Menu options were limited. Things look out of date. Waitress made a few small mistakes and instead of telling us what they have, she just kept telling us what they don’t have.
Food was good. Only problem was the hostess didn’t understand open table reservations
We have traditionally visited this location multiple times per week. The service at this location has become horrible. They cannot keep waiters. As a result, they constantly have new, inexperienced wait staff providing very poor service. Order specifications are routinely ignored by the kitchen., even after a wrong plate is sent back once. It is happening far too frequently to be bad luck. There is an obvious lack of leadership. They cannot charge their high prices and expect people to return when the service is so poor. We plan to start avoiding this restaurant.
This place is always good. I know it’s a chain, but it’s a good one.
We both ordered the swordfish special. The fish portion was quite large cooked nearly perfectly and seasoned in a lively manner.
The couscous which is always good was absolutely fabulous.
Was only disappointed to see lower grade greens mixed in with the alex salad - along with a recent price increase - bad combo.
It was date night, with the wife. I was taking her out to someplace where we had to dress up a bit nicer than jeans and a polo shirt. The food was great, as usual. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection, and had a smokey quality to it. My wife said her haddock was spicy, but not bad.
I was sad that they didn't have the Eos moscato. But the bottle of Firestone Riesling we had instead was good enough.
At the end, we decided to split a chocolate cake. This was a great idea, since it was certainly sized for two people.
We had a great time, and keep J. Alexander's in mind for special occasions.
Great food, great service, great time! We will be back!
Horrible service. The waitress got quite a few things wrong and everything took a very long time.
The quality was good and the service was timely and plesent.
Over fried Redfish, coleslaw is xtra, overactive wait staff. Not dining, it’s about eating and leave.
I had a wonderful time. I truly enjoyed the food, and the ambiance of the restaurant. It was my first visit, however I will be back again.
Reservation thru Open Table specially marked, and given priority. Didn't have to wait much beyond the reservation time. Great service, good ambiance. Appetizers thru dessert - all servings very good. Will recommend to anyone for a casual dinner experience.
A member of our party's food arrived burnt and it took 30 minutes to get the meal replaced.
Very consistent quality food and great service.
I love J. Alex's fish tacos too much - I never even order anything else any more (except for a side of roasted beets). Enjoyed a family dinner with my vegetarian nice who picked the restaurant because of all the veggie options. Everyone left happy - and full.
The food is always consistent.
The salmon is always top notch, and love their veggie burger. Grilled artichokes are just great.
The noise level is high, and often crowded. But this is our "go to" place when we are in the mood. We always know what we will be getting. Not inexpensive, but worth the cost.
Great service and perfect for catching up with an old friend. Great food.
I had not been to J. Alexander's in several years because I had found it to be uninspiring but I'm SO GLAD that my friends and I ended up there earlier this week. Our wait staff was attentive and very helpful and the food was plentiful and tasty. I'm happy to say that I will return to J. Alexander's soon!
Food was good but the burgers came with cheese and we said NO cheese.
Everything was excellent ! 😊
Had the ribeye marinated in the coffee grounds in molasses. It was the best steak I have ever had !!! Very highly recommend!
Will be back next week on my birthday for this steak!!
Food was totally subpar compared to Troy location. disappointing.
Went on a double date, the service made it extremely awkward. Switched servers multiple times and food was salty.
Our waiter and food once we got seated was great. We made a reservation and had to wait almost 20 minutes while we stood there and watched call ahead and walk ins taken before us. Kept asking at hostess stand and was told several times that we were next. It was not until I called over a manager that we were seated. If I am expected to be on time for a reservation or not be seated, I should at least have the same consideration. The hostesses are not very nice. Added note that I eat at a variety of J. Alexander’s from West Bloomfield to troy to Livonia to Palm beach gardens to boca raton. This seems to always happen at West Bloomfield.
My food was cold and we didn’t have time to wait so I just took it home to heat up. Got the price I should’ve had hot food, at least I thought.
Never disappoints: consistently good food and service: thanks!
Our waitress was very polite and accommodating. Somehow we ended up someone else's drink and appetizer. It wasn't as great a dinner as I remember having a few years back but, it was a satisfying meal. The ambiance is nice and I'd like to try the bar one day...it's huge!
Atmosphere was very nice, service was quick and efficient. Salad was excellent.
We arrived early and they still were able to seat us right away
Just wish it wasn't so loud
Been here countless times. Always have consistently great service. Food and cocktails are second to none. Best steak for the money outside a high end steakhouse. You don’t know what you’re missing. Run don’t walk to get here.
The vent above dripped water onto my girlfriend's food. We were on a date. It made her cry and she wanted to leave. The manager said it was due to AC. A server noticed and said she would retrieve the manager. Beforehand she let another server know who indicated this had happened before. It's worse this wasn't addressed beforehand. I never leave reviews but having something leak onto one's table is simply inexcusable. Please fix this so it doesn't ruin another patrons event.
