J. Michael's Prime
We have been dining at J. Michaels since they opened their doors. Every experience has been outstanding. The service is always friendly and knowledgeable. If you have a question that the server does not know the answer to, they will run back to the kitchen and find out. The steaks are fantastic, the prime rib is perfection but my favorite is the lamb loin over mushroom and spinach risotto. The Brussel sprouts are like candy! Also their selection of fine whiskeys is unparalleled! The option to eat in the bar or the patio should not be overlooked as you can choose from either the standard menu or the bar menu. This allows you to enjoy a lighter meal at lower cost than the dining room but with the same great quality and hospitality. A great place and great people!
Mains and apps exceeded expectations. Dessert ice cream was a little to full of ice crystals. Cocktails were superlative.
Amazing food. Service was wonderful.
We finally made our first visit to J. Michael's and couldn't be more pleased with our experience. The food was outstanding as was the service. Our server was extremely knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. We will definitely be making a return trip in the near future.
Wonderful experience all around.
We will be back.
Food is delicious. Service was excellent, but a little slow the night we went (Father's Day). Pricey but worth it for fresh seafood and prime beef cuts.
Pricey but well worth it. Food is out of this world. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Went with my mother in law who has a dairy allergy and they took care of her with ease. My favorite is definitely the French onion soup and the cream corn. So so good.
Typical prime steakhouse. Everything is a la carte and over priced. Meat was ok but nothing special
My filet was outstanding. The sides are family style so there’s a lot of food. You certainly won’t go hungry. My filet was so tender, I could cut it with my fork. The creamed corn with jalapeños was sooo yummy. The Brussels sprouts melt in your mouth. When you go, go hungry!
Never get tired of the seafood tower and the heirloom tomato and roasted beets salad with burrata. A neighborhood gem.
The three of us shared the seafood tower (for one) as our appetizer. For my entree, I had the Mediterranean cobb salad and added salmon to it. It was excellent and enough leftover for lunch the next day.
Amazing food, soooo good. Location is super convenient. Service was top notch. It’s a little on the pricey side but I will definitely go back.
Very enjoyable dining experience for our group of 4. Some in the group thought they had the best steak of their life. The building with it's unique historical elements added to the dining pleasure. The restaurant wasn't overly noisy which is a big plus for us. We look forward to going back and trying some of the seafood choices.
Very good food and service. We were very pleased that we chose Prime for our 35th anniversary dinner.
They are in a tough spot, trying to bring high-end dining to the area, but low customer volume is cutting into quality. Big difference between a great steak that is “ready” and aging in the fridge. Love the restaurant, but food quality is unfortunately lacking.
Delicious steaks, wonderful salads and sides! Definitely a special place to dine in Canton! We will be back again.
First time trying j. Michaels. Love the atmosphere. The service was very attentive, helpful, friendly. Great service. The food really really good. Steaks cooked perfectly and great flavor. Huge loaded baking potatoes. Sides are large and plenty to share the creamed corn is amazing. Desserts are heavenly. Enjoyed our dining experience Cannot wait to go back and enjoy their bar/pAtio menus-experience
We have been to this restaurant numerous times since it opened in November of 2018. It is much more than a steakhouse. We are slowly working our way through the menu although we do have our favorites (such as the seafood tower). My husband cannot resist the risotto which changes periodically (southwestern style with blackened scallops on our last visit); we sometimes share this if we also get the seafood tower as an appetizer. I love the heirloom tomato and roasted beet salad with burrata. Beautiful preparation and delicious. My first time trying the halibut with asparagus and dill cream sauce and it was very tasty. Julie was our server and was very attentive. Hoping that this neighborhood gem is here to stay.
4th visit to this upscale Steakhouse was on Thursday of this week. My wife and I were pressed for time so we just had calamari (perfectly cooked with just enough breading and an heirloom tomato salad that tasted like it just came out of the field).
I’ve had the dry NY strip on my last 3 visits and each time, it was the same extremely high quality steak. Dry aged for 46 days and cooked to perfection. Sides are family style so there’s plenty to share with your dinner date. As with RCB, the service is always impeccable and the atmosphere is amazing. Mike and Shelly have created a culture with the team of delivery of top flight service, food and beverages. You have to give J Michael Prime a try if you haven’t done so yet. You will be impressed!
Best Linz steak in Atlanta. Prime steaks that are from a famous butcher in Chicago. I cannot believe we have a steakhouse in Canton that is Downtown Atlanta or NYC quality. All sides and desserts made in house. Great customer service and ambiance. I know this is a fairly new place and it is very pricy 250 for two people with drinks, but we did an app, steaks, wine, and dessert. My wife and I will be back.
Atlanta Steakhouse experience without going ITP! Great food, exceptional service and attention to every little detail (such as candles/scented soaps in the restroom) makes J Michael's not just another steak joint. Bar/Balcony menu is perfect for a quick bite, main dining room is great for a date night. Live music in the bar and specials are also wonderful reasons to check out our new favorite spot!
