    Fresh sushi, good service though the gentleman server seemed to have a smile pasted on his face. Disappointing was the very few choices of Maki or rolls, only one at $23. Overall I will return, however not for maki.

    My first lunch, and the timing was important. Pre-set menu offers a great value, but we decided on a-la-cart to limit a number of courses. There really was no need, the food started arriving in 12 minutes, not bad when the place was 90% full. The wagyu aburi and uni were amazing; sashimi platter had 8-9 types of fish, you can see how fresh it was, melting in the mouth.. fresh wasabi and house special soy sauce, and sea salt, really enriched the flavor. We were done in 50 minutes, but took extra time to enjoy the cool atmosphere over the tea. Unlike in the evening, we had only one servant and she covered so much ground, always keeping eyes on the customers. Fantastic experience all together; thank you the Team!

    The chef’s choice sushi set was amazing, so was the uni and fatty tuna sushi. We came to celebrate my wife’s birthday and we were not disappointed.

    Outstanding food with great service. Some of the best sushi in Toronto. I come every year during TIFF at least twice. I lived in Japan, and this place is authentic and classy. Great place for a business dinner.

    From the moment we walked in and every moment in between our dinner, every staff member was friendly and attentive with refilling our water and replacing our used dishes for the next course. It was a special experience celebrating our anniversary at the same spot we dined at years ago and their wonderful service made it even more memorable. I highly recommend JaBistro and we will be back!

    Horrible experience. I never, ever write reviews but this was ridiculous. The only ok dish was the carpaccio. We brought our own wine (they offer corkage) and asked for the wine to be brought to our table 4 times, we ended up not getting it before our food was finished. We complained about the quality of 3 dishes and nothing was taken off the bill when we ate a bite of things. $450 bill. I would have had a better meal at an AYCE spot.

    The food and sake are exceptional. The service was excellent, but slow getting our bill. The prices are high, but the food is worth every penny. I'm delighted they survived the pandemic and are still around because, although I can't afford to go often, I am thrilled to be able to go when I can.

    We had a Sunday night blast! My 14yo managed to eat for the first time 4 types of sashimi being sold by an amazing manager Tommy. It is very authentic yet a chic place; the Japanese chefs dedication to perfection were fully reflected in every dish we ordered. Lobster miso is a must, it feels like a meal you worry to finish too soon. I was so glad to be reminded how the fresh sashimi should taste; never mind the creative presentation. The big winner was the wagyu sushi that only needed a touch of that ubersalt. I should mention the drinks, what a feast with the seasonal cocktails, colorful, perfectly unusually refreshing. Very remarkable eve. Thank you Jabistro team!

    Overall amazing experience. It was our first time and we were impressed. We did the extended PRIX FIXE dinner option which was perfect. Everything was well seasoned. We will be returning!

    Disappointing evening. Been here many times before and enjoyed the food. Called 15 minutes prior to our reservation to let them know we’d be late due to traffic. Left a vm as requested. They gave away our table without bothering to listen to vm. They have no real grace period if you’re going to be late and no sympathy for the situation. Pick another place who will show empathy and class for when “life” happens.

    Loved the summer soiree menu. Me and my son both got this menu and really loved everything (…but the squid’s texture wasn’t great for us). Food was full of taste and served very graciously. Notes: loved the sweet soya souce - one of two different soya sauces served Special mention for the green tea mojito and for the aburi- wonderful! ✨

    Some of the best quality sashimi we have experienced and very creative and tasty sushi. Green tea was also lovely and well balanced. It is expensive but for a special occasion or a date night the food was worth the price.
