Jack Sam's Restaurant at the Quaaout Lodge
Great service. Great value. And the bannock was fantastic
Best brunch ever!! Such an awesome selection. We will deffinetly be back.
Excellent choices to try Elk, Bison, wild Salmon, and Pacific Lingcod fish & chips.
Our family dinner started with an Arugula & Burrata cheese salad and a Quaaout greens salad, with the dinner special of Beef Wellington, Saturday Prime Rib, and grilled Bison Striploin. Cooked to perfection with great flavour. Sweet course was a Baked Chocolate ganache to share. High recommend especially if you have never been to Jack Sam's yet.
Amazing first experience!! Shawn provided amazing service!! We’ll be back for sure!!!
Amazing Sunday Brunch
I have had brunch at Jack Sam's twice and breakfast once. On all three occasions the food has been excellent. the selection on the buffet is wonderful and diverse, to appeal to varied tastes. I give 5 out of 5 and recommend to all my friends.
The Chef here is crushing it these days. Loved every meal and ate here 3 times. Highly receommend. Food is awesome.
The lighting is a bit harsh in some seats. Could be better on a dimmer. Overall a very nice meal with good menu choices.
Our server was amazing and the food was outstanding!! Dining while looking out at the mountains and the shores of the Little Shuswap Lake was fantastic. The Sunday Brunch is the best I have ever had!!
Overall great brunch experience. We'll be back again.
great people, great service, great food and overall great place to go!
Great service with a beautiful view of lake.
Food tasty 😋
We enjoyed the meal and the service was excellent. Was disappointed in our table. We booked 2 weeks in advance, it wasn't very busy and they put us in a little alcove out of the way. Why not a nice window seat? Will be more specific next time.
Beautiful location, amazing food and very friendly servers, I wholeheartedly recommend!
I had no complaints about the restaurant at all. Everything was great and I especially loved the Stuffed Yourshires. They were my favourite. Enough of a variety to get the taste buds going, the only problem being which items to choose. I love the ambience of the restaurant and very much enjoyed the view of Little Shuswap. This was our second time going there and would definitely go back again.
Great venue, nice food at brunch with omelette and waffle stations to order and lots of other dishes.
We took relatives visiting from UK so it was a unique experience.
The seniors discount was an added and unexpected bonus.
WE HAD 8 IN OUR PARTY. THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD. WE WERE THERE FOR THE FRIDAY PRIME RIB SPECIAL WHICH 7 OF THE 8 GUESTS ENJOYED. I REALLY ENJOYED THE MAPLE GLAZED WILD SALMON. THE SERVICE WAS GOOD. NO PROBLEMS EXCEPT OUR FIRST BREAKFAST ONE GUEST DIDN'T GET SERVED HIS ORDER IN FOR 15 MINUTES. OTHER THAN THAT ALL WAS EXCELLENT.
We had two great breakfasts and one dinner while we stayed at the lodge. Atmosphere and views are awesome.
We went here for our anniversary, the food was great and the staff were very helpful.
We have come out to this brunch several times in the past couple of years and loved it!
So it was really disappointing to find the quality of the food was bot what we had gotten used to.
Also the selection seemed smaller and where there used to be some unique amazing options like chai waffles and bannock eggs benny, there now were just the boring basics.
When we went up to get food the first time several trays were completely empty too.
There were no eggs benny, sausages, hash browns, fruit salad and too much of a line to wait for fresh cooked eggs.
Overall very disappointed this time and won't be back any time soon.
We loved everything about it. We are not golfers so were worried about a restaurant attached to a golf course but it was relaxed and friendly. We had an excellent dinner with cocktails and wine. The food was superb! Great friendly service and advice about good swim spots etc thrown in for free
Cozy restaurant with beautiful view of the lake. Food was very good and service was great
The fish and chips were amazing! The view is great.
The service and the food are always excellent. The food is fresh, presented very well, and tasty. Your lunch menu offers more than adequate selection. I love the atmosphere and always take out of town guests to your restaurant for lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed by all!
We visit every year as a holiday tradition. The grounds and views are unbeatable, the restaurant well staffed, great food and overall experience is always top notch. You’re my jam Jack Sam!
Fantastic menu but be prepared to wait. Many of our party had to select different meals as they appeared to be out of multiple menu items for the entire weekend.
The menu is great, different items to try. Had the Fish and Chips, it was excellent.
The desserts were scant compared to our visit last month. Also, we felt a bit rushed for time, arriving at 12 and not having quite enough time at the buffet. Would be nice if it went an hour longer as we are coming after church service and can't make it earlier. The omelette station takes a bit too long. Overall though, Another wonderful experience.
We ate at Jack Sam's three times (two dinner, one breakfast) during our stay at Quaaout Lodge due to convenience. The food is overpriced for what it is. We tried the salmon, duck, elk pasta, chicken sandwich, breakfast sandwich, omelette, fish and chip (kids menu) and chicken fingers (kids menu). I was not a fan of the pasta, too salty, though my husband liked it. The duck was tough and felt like it needed another vegetable side. The chicken sandwich tasted good according to husband but we were questioning if it looked a little underdone. The salmon was good but the wild rice was undercooked and the fiddleheads seemed overcook. The breakfast sandwich and omlette were tasty but overpriced. The kids menu was good. The fish and chips was great and ceasar salad was delicious.
The atmosphere was a typical hotel dining area. Nothing special. The servers were very friendly but didn't seem very experienced. All and all, I felt that it was overpriced for average food.
We had a fantastic dinner and brunch. Loved the staff and the restaurant.
Sunday brunch was a over priced for both adults and kids
The food was amazing! Fresh ingredients and a great use of wild meat and vegetables. Our server was friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back.
A creative menu that features local ingredients does not disappoint. Serving staff is personable, and have a fun sense of humour. The location just draws the stress out of you as you enter. We had dinner and then breakfast the next morning. Both meals were wonderful.
We've been multiple times for brunch. Food is always outstanding, service is usually very good however this time we were getting up to refill our own coffees which was a bit disappointing considering most of the lunch rush had cleared out by then. It's a beautiful venue though and we will return.
It was so good. We can't wait to go back, and take friends and family along!
There should be 2 chefs at the omelet station to avoid having to wait.
The food was excellent, with amazing attention to detail and high quality local ingredients. The service staff was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable, and we felt very well taken care of. We highly recommend this restaurant!!
My husband and I love to make Jack Sam's our destination for our date night. Never disappointing! The menu may be limited...but every item is well thought out and delicious. The Shuswap Board is a must with a great bottle of local wine.
The charcuterie plate excellent.
The Duck was extraordinary.
The Bison was very good. The sweet potato pure spicing was delicious and interesting.
The salmon was slightly overdone.
The cabsav was a little harsh.
The pinoit was very good.
Sage was a very good server, friendly but not too intrusive.
A nice bright dining room with the best view - good karma!
Next time we'll save room for dessert.
