Jack Stack Barbecue originated in Kansas City in 1957, by Russ Fiorella in a traditional storefront barbecue, with a modest selection of 5 or 6 items. Jack Fiorella, the eldest son, worked with his father until 1974 when he decided to branch off and start Fiorella's Jack Stack of Martin City.

To stand out in the competitive KC barbecue scene of the mid 1970's, Jack and Delores, began cooking with Gourmet Hickory Wood and created the most extensive barbecue menu in the country. The menu included Certified Angus Beef steaks, tender chicken, award-winning lamb ribs, and mouth-watering sides like Hickory Pit Beans and Cheesy Corn Bake.

This was not the best experience we've ever had at this location of Jack Stack BBQ. Our server, Bianca, was far from acceptable. She was slow, didn't listen as we tried to place our order, poured iced tea all over our table and me, didn't clean it up and we had to ask another server to clean it up for us. Additionally, it was incredibly loud in there not to mention the incessant cold wind blowing over our table. I guess we are going to have to drive further to die at another Jack Stack BBQ location in the future.

I wish I had gotten our waitress name because she was just fabulous. An older lady with a slight country accent to her; served between 4:30 and 6:30. She was so helpful and deserves her kudos. Food was good as always.

Food, service and experience are always excellent. I just always seem to get stuck sitting on the bar not that that's a big deal… But I wanted to have dinner with the family a little quieter. Even though there's not really a quiet spot in the place, just wanted to be in the main dining room. Next time I will put that in additional comments.

Went to the Chiefs game and Jack Stack after before we headed back home. Was a little disappointed after all we had heard about it. The turkey was great but the brisket and pulled pork were a little dry. Maybe we just caught them on an off day. Sides were very good. I would still recommend for anyone to try it.

Delicious food - excellent service (kudos to our waitress - she was awesome and fun!) Had a reservation which was wise because there were people waiting for tables when we got there on a weeknight! Seated immediately. One of our favorite places to eat in Lee's Summit.

As always, Jack Stack BBQ was wonderful. From the Arkansas Topper to the spinach salad to the cheesy potato bake to the carrot cake it was all excellent. Our server was great, attentive without hovering, pleasant and kept our iced tea glasses filled (on this 100+ degree night it was much appreciated). Can't say enough about how good my favorite BBQ place is.

Always enjoy the great food and fun. The lamb ribs are one of my All time favorites! Of course you can never go wrong with the bake beans and cheesy corn! My cousin is now a fan of the lamb ribs also! I did use some self control an did not get my carrot cake it’s the Best! I have it for my bday every year soo good an moist and they warm it!

Dinner as a foursome tonight. Chose bar seating (like the barstools). The bartender was outstanding — friendly and accommodating with a keen sense of timing! Really quite superb at her craft. Food was outstanding as always. Tonight our group ate sandwiches, baby back ribs, Signature salads, and sides. It was all very good. As we left, we agreed Jack Stacks (Lee’s Summit) is the best restaurant in town!

We had dinner reservations at Jack Stack on a Saturday evening. We arrived a little early but were still seated promptly. Our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu. Both of our entrees were very good and we were in and out in less than an hour. Very enjoyable meal. Will definitely dine at Jack Stack again!

The reservation was at 6 PM. When I arrived, I was the score did directly to my table, which was a pleasant surprise. The white staff did a great job and was consistently attentive. The food was really good. But my burnt ends had a little bit more fat than I desire. The portion of food did not disappoint. The bill did not break the bank and I felt satisfied with my meal. I’m a tough judge only giving them a four, but I’ve had better. I really enjoyed my meal and the service. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed .
