   We were greeted immediately and seated at a beautiful booth facing the whole restaurant. Our waiter was great. Very attentive and the timing of food, drink and appetizers was perfect. We mentioned it was our daughters birthday and they brought her a piece of cake with a candle.

   This place never fails. The aesthetic, food, service all 10/10. When you walk in the place it just takes your breath away. It’s like walking straight into Tulum or some luxurious Mexican resort. We’ve been here for date nights and birthday celebrations and everyone is always impressed with the food. The service is always so quick and staff is always on point, attentive, and personable. According to my husband you just need to try the salsa to know what kind of restaurant it is. And boy is it delicious.

   We love going to Javier’s in San Diego. The food is always excellent. The hostess however, is a sour person, not exactly who you should put forward as the face of the restaurant. We were the first guests in the restaurant but after she seated us we realized there was going to be a large party of 10 or 12 nearby. I asked to change tables as my husband is not able to hear well and we wouldn’t be able to have a conversation seated by this big group. She made a face, and told the waiter to move us. I watched her seat people around us and not once did she smile or say anything pleasant to the guests. Wow.

    Best part of dining here is beautiful drsign of restaurant. Food is overpriced and service not very high level. We wont be going back.

    Javier's always provides a great meal, service and atmosphere. I had the Javier's chopped salad and added the shrimp. The shrimp was cooked perfectly! The pineapple margarita did not disappoint either.

    One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Went there for lunch with family. The service, food, atmosphere, drinks, everything top notch. On par with any top restaurant I've experienced anywhere in the US. Run, don't walk. You won't regret it.

    We had a great work celebration dinner on a Friday night. Gabriel took excellent care of us, with Oscar helping us out for a bit as well. Outstanding service, fun ambience, and the guayaba margaritas were absolutely delicious. Thank you to Gabriel and Oscar for their outstanding service and kindness.

    The food is mediocre at best and the pricing is outrageous. $44 for a shrimp plate with three fairly large overcooked shrimp in a tasteless sauce. I probably would have sent it back but I was with some clients and did not want to make a fuss.

    Came here for a team dinner while attending a summit in San Diego! Everything was great, the vibe, the tastiness of the food! The only note I would make is that the place is very loud, you might find yourself shouting across the table but totally worth it!

    The atmosphere and food was perfect albeit loud. That said, it was clear they were trying to turn tables just as fast as they possibly could. The food came out almost immediately, the plates were cleared before we were finished, and the check came all within about 30 minutes from the time we sat down to the time we left. Other than that, it was excellent.

    Positives: The food was delicious. The restaurant is beautiful and has nice decor. Negatives: Very Loud and considering it wasn't crowded, the service was not very good. We waited a long time for our food, and even longer for the bill. Neutral: We sat on the lovely patio; 2 from our group of 5 were warm next to the fire and the other 3 were shivering.

    Always a great experience! We've been getting La Tablita for over 20 years! Quality and quantity has been consistent. Yes, the price has gone up from the days in Laguna Beach when it was only $18 🤣 But still totally worth it. We are so happy Javier's has been able to expand and still maintain their quality and service. So many of the same team members work for the company and we have spotted them at the different locations and even in Vegas! This is definitely Lifestyle Mexican food so if you're expecting taco stand food and prices, this isn't your place. But if you enjoy dining out for the experience & ambiance along with quality ingredients and service, Javier's is excellent.
