The recent renovations are wonderful. The place looks beautiful. Services still outsttanding, however the kitchen is not as good as before. The steaks are still the best quality however most dishes are extremely salty, others are drowning in sauces. Also if there's special request (omission of item, salt level, additions, etc) if the kitchen is unable to accomodate the request, the server should be informed BEFORE sending the food out which then has to be sent back to redo or not eaten at all (waste). Hopefully these kitchen issues will be resolved soon and return Jeff Ruby's to the excellence it always had.

We had a 9:30pm reservation and came early and ended up eating at the bar. Austin and the bar staff served us the best service, food and drinks in all of Louisville. 10/10 recommend. Get the Lobster Gnocchi as a side if it’s on their current seasonal menu. It was the best meal I’ve eaten in a long time.

WE WERE BLOWN AWAY! The atmosphere was wonderful. Chad, our waiter was so knowledgeable and explained all of our options and choices. My smoked old fashion was perfect! The steaks were cooked to perfection and one of us had the sushi and thought it was the best ever! But the desserts stole the show! Every table ordered dessert. The pastry chef is amazing! The creativity was unbelievable! We had the ruby vuitton and it did not disappoint! The are all huge - so they feed the whole table. This morning we were already planning a return trip and which dessert we would have! Well done- my new favorite restaurant! ❤️❤️

First time back since the renovation. I am not one to do reviews but felt it was necessary tonight. Not only is the the renovation beautiful, but service is even better. New menu items were delicious. Michael was AMAZING. We travel all around the world to multiple Michelin Star restaurants and truthfully have never had a server with a better personality than Michael. Super attentive and a very welcoming personality. We are regulars here and will be sure to request him each time. We have been waiting to come back since July and it was well worth the wait!

Atmosphere was great and hospitality staff were top notch! A great experience that's worth trying at least one. The food is definitely expensive, but the ribeye steak practically melts in your mouth. Only complaint is the steak seasoning definitely has an odd taste. I wasn't a fan, but the steak itself was cooked to perfection. Live music makes for a fun time, but the place is big enough that if you prefer to sit somewhere quieter, you can.

Our service was excellent, Jade was wonderful!! Lobster bisque soup was awful. Tasted sour and texture was off. Ruby roll didn't have much flavor. The Bourbon filet was so good and blue fin tuna flight was lovely.

Great food and service once you get seated. Seems like it takes five or six staff to handle the host/hostess stand. Perhaps they are metering sitting so the wait staff is not overwhelmed. Otherwise the food is outstanding.

No detail goes unnoticed and everyone seems to be treated like a king and queen here. I would highly recommend for a special occasion, you will not regret it! The food, service, and ambiance are all excellent! One of the managers stopped by our table to fold the napkins while my wife and young daughters were using the restroom. I told him how much my daughters would appreciate that as they were very impressed with the fold when we arrived. He took the time to come back and teach them how to fold them that way. Very cool!

Excellent service at the bar and dining table. Bartenders, waiters, waitresses and service folks were friendly, attentive. It was clear the staff wanted diners to have a great experience. Indeed, everything was excellent. Food was cooked to perfection and delicious. Use the valet parking as attendants are great. Only $10 bucks.

When I made the reservation, I requested to not sit at a hightop table in the bar, but we were seated at one anyway. Those chairs are very uncomfortable and we were seated at a table in a high traffic area so next time I will definitely request something else. It wasn’t very private. I usually get the fillet at Jeff Ruby’s (which is amazing) but this time I got the bone in ribeye. It was good, but not as good as the fillet. The lobster gnocchi was good, but I would go back to the macaroni and cheese or mashed potatoes on my next visit. We got the ham board for an appetizer and the ham was so salty, I could hardly eat it. The pimento cheese, however, was the best I’ve ever had. Overall, this wasn’t the best meal I’ve had here but I still enjoyed it. The service was impeccable.

We had the perfect meal for our 33rd anniversary. The service was impeccable. Chad and Grant took care of us wonderfully. They were both very friendly and anticipated everything we would want. The food Chef Zac prepared is the best. Everything was so delicious that it’s hard to pick a favorite. I loved the atmosphere and everything about the restaurant. Would highly recommend!
