   First time eating at Jeff Ruby’s and I can tell you it will not be the last. Our hostess (Britnee with glasses) was fabulous. We left full and feeling like we just went through an experience. All of our food was exceptional and steaks like no other, but that Ruby Roll was the most amazing thing I’ve ever experienced.

   This is an absolute must have when in downtown Louisville! The menu options and wine selection is impressive, restaurant is somewhat dated but with a classic kind of feel. Service was absolutely on point, perhaps the best waiter we have ever had. Joshua P was well versed in both curating wine as well as expansive knowledge of the menu and cocktails. Every single one of his recommendations were superb. Vito was his assistant and made sure no glass ran empty and fresh silverware with every course. Hands down it is the best five star restaurant experience all around.

    We had the best experience!!! Our server was awesome! I wish I could have remembered his name. Brought my dad here for his birthday and for the first time for him!     This is not just going out for dinner this a a wonderful dining experience from the minute you walk through the door. Josh and Johnathan our waters were brilliant, friendly highly knowledgeable of both the food and wine menu and made the dining experience truly enjoyable The food WOW - I have travelled through 44 states and you will not get a better anywhere. As a starter I had the Ruby Roll it was so good I have come back again tonight Customer service from the minute you walk in the door is second to none.     Went in for our anniversary. We had Josh and Jonathan- and they were outstanding. Very attentive, kind, and helpful. They made the whole experience such a delight. The food was exceptional.     Josh was our main server with help from Jonathan, they were both amazing! Josh was so knowledgeable about the menu and we took his advice and so glad we did! The wagyu steak was wonderful and king crab a 10/10! We are visiting from Memphis and will definitely be back to Jeff Ruby’s! We will be requesting Josh as our server!     Phenomenal food, service and ambiance. We were seated in the bar area which is our preference for casual setting and proximity to enjoying live music. It is an expensive night but you have an experience.

    After several years of trying to coordinate a meal here with our travel plans our first visit to Jeff Ruby’s Louisville did not disappoint! Warm welcoming atmosphere from live piano in the bar to the southern hospitality. We enjoyed delicious Bourbon cocktails (recommend the smokin berries old fashioned) along with shrimp cocktail and chilled crab to start. Filet and the cowboy bone in ribeye were the perfect med rare as ordered. No need for sauce - the spice blend and butter - mmmm! Crème Brûlée and coffee were the perfect end to this perfect meal. A special note about our server Nick L. His attentive and friendly service truly put this experience over the top. He made sure that our meal was one to remember!! Add this to your list of must do’s when in Louisville. Pricey with no regrets- we’ll be back!

    I guess they threw the dress code out the window. People in shorts, polo shirts ,no jackets for men. Women in scantily clad outfits. Sat in the bar dining area, where the seats were very uncomfortable, not deep enough and cut into the bottom of my thigh. Horrible on our backs. Crab soup came out cold but manager fixed that to my relief. My 12 oz. Filet was cooked to perfection, melt in your mouth superb. Husband had Pittsburgh blue rare ribeye that he said was best he’s ever had. My cocktail, very pleasant was gone before the end of my meal and was never offered to have another. The sides were Mac and cheese , husband loved it. Had carrots that were like eating carrot sticks, too hard and not easily cut with knife or manageable with a fork to eat, but flavor was good. Took cake desserts home which were very nice. We could have saved a considerable amount of money spent on a new dinner jacket for my husband had I known you could come dressed like you were going to Taco Bell for dinner.
