Overall, the restaurant was okay. The staff were very nice and helped my party with whatever we needed. While that’s true, the restaurant was stuffy and dark and the food was bland and dry. My walleye sandwich didn’t taste seasoned and my boyfriends penne was quote “Not good at all.” I think the place needs a menu and a chef upgrade with some more welcoming decor.

My friends and I went to Jimmy’s on a Monday. We expected it to be busy so made a reservation. I had been there before but my friends had not. Everything was wonderful except the noise level. We did discuss returning. And we all said: Yes! Thank you for a wonderful lunch…even if it was noisy!

Mother's Day brunch. This review only applies to that. First, Open Table suggested ordering was menu based so we were surprised when we arrived to learn it was a brunch. That said, our experience was largely good. Service-wise there are fewer touchpoints with buffets but we were pleased the manager accommodated us in moving tables when asked even though they were clearly very busy. Plates were cleared quickly every time & drink service was efficient & friendly. The buffet was typical for this type of thing. There were 10-15 hot trays, three salad fruit options & assorted pastries & desserts. There was a chef-manned carving table with prime rib as well but no omelet or waffle station. One of the things we were looking forward to were the caramel rolls served with every entree (assumed menu service). There were caramel rolls in the buffet, however they were kept in a hot tray & were dry & mainly overcooked. Probably the biggest disappointment of the meal given expectations. Other hot items I had: Scalloped potatoes (more au gratin- think sliced cheesy potatoes) which were overly firm/undercooked. Eggs Benedict- perfectly executed which is extremely difficult in a buffet setting (Had three!). Jumbo breakfast sausage & thick sliced bacon- both good & standard "Glazed" ham which was good but not really glazed as it was served in water to prevent drying. Pot Roast- Reservation was near the end of service. First portion was short rib & fantastic, the second portion was clearly not so the guess is that they ran out and subbed out sirloin? Edible but in a different league from the first. Salmon Piccata / Chicken Cutlet- both in creamy sauce & surprisingly very good given buffet. Prime Rib- Medium rare & supper club quality. Excellent. There was also sliced turkey & mashed potatoes w/gravy & a pasta dish & a few others. All in all, this wasn't a premium buffet but the food was mostly very good without being elevated. Also had teen pricing improving value. $45/25

All the food was very good. My steak was a little overdone and the waitress offered to get it recooked, I declined as it was just barely overcook. Still tasted great. Just a little loud though. My parents, who don’t hear that well we’re having trouble with all the background noise. Otherwise everything was very good.

Our server Jody was excellent and very accommodating. One of our friends has poor eyesight and didn't feel comfortable sitting in the center booths that aren't against a wall. He was able to seat us at a different table, no questions asked.

Food was excellent, as was the value. However our server seemed very unhappy to be either working in general or working a happy hour rush or maybe simply waiting on us. She barely uttered a word directly to us the entire meal, never said hello or even a simple thank you. It was extremely short tempered to the point of feeling very unwelcome.

Excellent food and terrific service. Jimmy's also offers a unique atmosphere (upscale sports bar-ish). Wonderful place for a nice dinner and drinks!

The service was rushed, our meal arrived in 5 minutes, or less, after ordering. The stuffed mushrooms were too small, meat missing, and flavorless. My beet salad was wet, soggy, minimal feta, and nasty tasting dressing. My husbands hamburger was nothing special.

It was very easy to reserve a table for lunch. Our meal was very good... I would order the soup and sandwich again. Our server was very attentive and surprised us with a birthday ice cream sundae. I find that most restaurants have 2-3 items that I might order. Jimmy's has 5-10 items that I would like to try.

This was our first time going to Jimmy's. Overall, it was a good experience. We went to celebrate our anniversary. We had the BBQ ribs and the Chopped Sirloin entrees. They were good, nothing spectacular. The Au gratin potatoes were cold and bland but the asparagus was done well. We would go again if we received a gift card, but wouldn't likely go out of our way to go again.
