The food, service and ambience was fantastic, but the wine menu was extremely confusing and put a bit of a damper on our evening. We thought we had ordered a bottle of wine for a certain price, but it was actually per glass. Our server handled it wonderfully, but I think the wine list needs to be more clear. We’ll definitely be back, but will have to rethink our wine order. The wine itself was excellent.

My wife and I went on our anniversary. It was a fantastic experience. The menu came with a congratulatory note on it and they provided a free desert for my wife at the end of the meal. We always go to Joe’s for special occasions because of the amazing food and service, and will continue to do so. First rate!

The service was good. The waitress was friendly and they gave me a free desert since it was my birthday. The food itself was mediocre. I got the seafood linguine which was only average tasting. My partner got the salmon with rice and veggies and that salmon tasted so bland. There was zero seasoning on it and it was a struggle getting it down my throat. The only good thing on that salmon plate were the potatoes and the purée. The salmon and rice was disappointing. I won’t be returning back. The tastiness of the food you get for your money is not worth it in my opinion.

Johnny was very helpful in assisting us with our food choices. We arrived in Vancouver late and called to let Joe Fortes know we would be 15 minutes late. The lady who answered the phone was extremely accomodating and actually updated our reservation online and I received a confirmation of the time change immediately on my phone. Very well run establishment.

Service was outstanding. Food was ok/good. The most annoying thing was the two large TV screens on the outside dining area with a ball game on -- it completely ruined the fine dining vibe, and made it feel like a cheap sports bar.

Way too hot to be seated upstairs to eat such a heavy meal, also took away from the experience. Wanted to be seated downstairs where all the action was despite making reservations. Was not the experience or same ‘wow’ experience with the food as we had in Whistler 2 weeks ago.

It was a very poor experience at best. The temperature in the restaurant was extremely warm, either they don’t have air conditioning or it was broken. Several tables beside us didn’t stay because it was too hot. We almost did the same. The steaks were not cooked to the correct temperature. The steak quality felt like it was AA meat, nothing close in flavour or tenderness for a high end restaurant. We will never return

Birthday dinner with my friends and husband. Great food and service. Consistently great experience. Unfortunately, it was a really hot day and AC wasn’t on or wasn’t enough. Felt bad for the servers but they were so friendly and happy. Thanks for another great dinner!
