Joe Fortes has been specializing in classic, American cuisine since 1985. The turn-of-the-century inspired dining room features 30-foot high ceilings and six unique dining venues that include our Rooftop Garden. Director of Culinary, Wayne Sych, and Executive Chef, Ryan Green, prepare each dish with a focus on natural flavours and features the finest ingredients from Pacific Northwest farmers, fishermen, and other food artisans. Serving more than 30 kinds of fresh fish, premium oysters and thick chops daily, Joe’s signature dishes have become a favourite with locals, celebrities & tourists alike. Table for 2 size was a little small, but other than that no complaints. Great service. Loved the mussels and the shrimp cocktail. Definitely recommend the carrot cake for dessert.

This place has mice. We paid our bill and got out of there after we saw them running around the dining area. Based on the other reviews with other people claiming mice, the staff knows about it and doesn't care. We went here on a recommendation from a friend. We read the mouse/mice reviews after. We will never go back.

Our servers, Brian and Sean, and one of the managers, Brian, made this friend’s get-together very special. They were very professional, helpful and fun! The food, as usual, was delicious.

We were given a lovely booth that was well positioned. Further, it was our anniversary, our host was very pleasant and provided us with a free dessert, lots of humour and balloons to decorate the table. Was wonderful and will visit again. Nothing but positive things to say.

Overall the food was great, server was attentive, but it took an unreasonable amount of time to receive our food and cheque. My client had to leave after being there for 90 minutes.

Absolutely fantastic as always. Joe Fortes is our favorite restaurant in Vancouver. The food and service is always outstanding. Appy hour is such a good deal for the food quality.
