    We like good service and fine food. We got both! Our waitstaff person, Ryan, added to this overall experience. He was attentive, knowledgeable and willing to answer questions, not only about the food and wine, but about life in Whistler. We decided not to do the prix fixe menu as it was too much food; we were not starving. We chose an entree (Steelhead Trout) which was delicious. The house white was perfect with the fish and the crème brûlée wonderful! Highly recommend this establishment.

    The service started from Cristina & Brenna in lounge to Justin the bartender & Justin the waiter & Alejandro our waiter & other amazing staff members to make this an incredibly memorable experience. It was so much fun & a night to remember 💓. Food, ambiance & service is over the top great & worth every penny!! Has a blast & will definitely go back!! 🥳🥂💕

    Classic chop house with excellent service. Both our steaks were cooked perfectly to requested temperature and the crab cake appetizer and Caesar salad were great. Would definitely return.

    Great service and food! The cioppino is very good. And I was impressed by the mussels! Very fresh oysters as well. Too bad they don’t have a patio but otherwise everything was great!

    First time going to JF Whistler but have been to the Vancouver location several times. Restaurant was small and only half full but service was good. Ordered fried oysters, seafood pasta and miso sablefish. Was left unimpressed and wouldn’t go back.

    Wow, we loved this place the decor and ambiance and of course the food and service. Chole was so friendly and didn't rush us as she guided us through the extensive food and wine list 👍 The oysters and clam starters were fantastic, our entrees of Filet Mignon and Trout were stunning. Both courses washed down with lovely libations. How would we rate the evening as a whole 🤔.... well... as simply the best meals we have had for some time 😊 and the decor and dresscode of the staff added to the fantastic atmosphere of bygone era , the elegant nod to the past made it all the more memorable...

    Everything was excellent as usual. Unfortunately, our server wasn’t very friendly. We felt that we she was annoyed by us ordering some items from the happy hour menu. Then my husband asked for a few extra blue cheese, stuffed olives for his $27 martini and she told me NO. So I asked why? I have been coming to Joe forte‘s for years and have always ordered that martini. my request to have a few extra olives has never been denied or been an issue before. I have also never been charged extra for the olives. Towards the end of our visit, she disappeared, and another server came up to give us our bill and said she was “busy” but the entire bar lounge area was empty. I noticed that we were charged two dollars extra for the olives. I had offered to pay extra, but didn’t think it would actually happen since the drink itself is already $27! Not the best service experience I’ve had a Joe fortes. The other thing that made it worse was she was talking to every other table and acting super friendly, and having lengthy conversations with people, but for some reason, she was very short and abrupt with us from the moment we sat down.

    most places in whistler are over priced for sub par food. this was not the case here, prices are on par with other steak houses but the quality of food and what you get is much greater

    We had a lovely dinner on our final night in Whistler. The food was top notch - Joe’s Classic caesar salad, bread with lobster oil and balsamic, Sirloin Steak, New York Striploin and Grilled Steelhead Trout with Craggy Range Sauvignon Blanc wine from New Zealand. Pretty pricey but food was amazing.

    Dinner was good but the noise level was high. Almost impossible to carry on a conversation. You could ditch the thumpy .music for something quiet and soothing. No one can hear it except very noisy so every one is trying to talk over it and this just raises the volume.

    Positives Beautifully styled, good atmosphere, pleasant service. My husband enjoyed his pork chop main course Negatives Hard to find, more signage. even in the hotel foyer would be useful. My seafood soup at $46 was overpriced. One prawn, one scallop, a few mussels and lumps of fish in an oversalted soup.

    Our dinner last night was very disappointing with respect to the service. The servers were not very attentive despite them being fully staffed. We ordered the weekday three course menu special which offered good value and our trout and pork chop was cooked to perfection.

    Excellent meal and service. Wonderful fresh food. Service was great. This restaurant does not get the attention of some of the other high end restaurants that are more centrally located in Whistler but it deserves to be more considered as a great option

    We shared the happy hour seafood tower. Seafood was excellent, really enjoyed the poke and the prawns. My partner said the oysters were perfect. Great value on Blaster Church wine. The best, even tho I’m not a chocolate cake fan was the chocolate cake - huge serving and SO delicious
