   Just had a great date night at Joey’s in North Van. The reception was smooth and we very much appreciated the complimentary glass of sparkling wine while we waited a couple of minutes to be taken to our table. The table service was excellent and we both very much enjoyed our meals. The ambience was excellent with the music volume perfect for conversation and entertainment. Great value for an excellent experience. My wife said ( several times) “I love this place”

   It was so nice a complementary bubbly as you come in was nice touch. Our server Katie very pleasant and very good at her job. We enjoyed our happy hour food and drinks. Thank you and keep up the great service.

   Great service. Very attentive server. She checked in several times to make sure everything was to our liking. She thanked us for our business and acknowledged that there are many restaurants in the area and thanks for choosing Joey Shipyards.

   Food was very skimpy. I ordered a crispy tofu poke bowl and my wife ordered a ahi tuna salad. Portions were half of what we had at other Joeys, like at Brentwood. Waiter was nice. Definitely not worth $100 meal that I paid. Very disappointed.

   It seemed very busy and the service was below usual level. I made a reservation and we had to wait for at least 20 minutes for our table. The table was nice. The server got our drink and appy order and the appetizers arrived before the drinks (it seemed almost 5 minutes prior). We waiting a long time for our main course to be ordered. The miso mushrooms were divine. The strawberry no alcohol drink tasted good, but glass was literally half full and mostly ice (for 9$ that is not good value). The food was nice and arrived in good time once our order was finally taken. overall, it was a sub-experience to normal. I think you need more wait/server staff on. The kitchen seems good; but front end too busy for the amount of staff. overall mid experience this time. Hope next time is better!

But the highlight is undoubtedly the breathtaking view of Vancouver Harbour, Canada Place and the surrounding mountains. Whether you're inside thanks to the large picture windows or out on the magnificent patio, the panorama is absolutely stunning, especially at sunset. It's the ideal setting to savour a delicious meal and create unforgettable memories. The service was impeccable, attentive without being intrusive, and the food was simply exquisite. While this review focuses on the ambiance and the view, it's important to emphasize that the quality of the dishes and cocktails was also top-notch. If you're looking for a place in Vancouver where fine dining meets a vibrant atmosphere and a breathtaking view, look no further: Joey Shipyards is the perfect spot.
