   Crème brûlée French toast was chunky (crème brûlée was not smooth) and the bread was extremely soggy. The waiter was good and tried to make up for it by providing a complimentary coffee however the overall experience was unfortunate.

   Awful service. We waited 40 minutes for our food. Omelettes were bland and insipid. Waiter was not attentive to our needs. Certainly not the value for the cost. Disappointing…we expected better from the Hyatt Park Plaza.

   Enjoyed my first brunch at Joni, though the second one a few months later was pretty terrible. The oatmeal was watery, lukewarm and tasted like instant. I didn't find out they had run out of bananas for the oatmeal until it was delivered, and was offered a choice of substitute fruit. I did not receive the potato and bacon sides I ordered with the oatmeal, and had to remind the server to bring them - they came one at a time, each a minute apart. The bacon was hard and lukewarm, and the 'crispy potatoes' were two obviously deep-fried perfect squares of shredded potatoes, that would have felt right at home in a paper pouch with the golden arches logo printed on it. I ordered green tea, was told some time afterwards they were out of green tea, then was offered a choice of Lemon Ginger or tropical green tea instead (yes, out of green tea, except for the green tea?). I was not told there were two choices of green tea when I first placed my tea order. My friend ordered herbal tea and was given a choice of mint or chamomile (the same selection as Tim Horton's?), while the lemon ginger was not mentioned. My friend didn't want to pay $25 for a single piece of avocado toast, so she inquired if there were one or two slices. She was told there was one piece, but it was a sizeable 'loaf', so she ordered it. It turned out to be one slice of avocado toast - perhaps a slice from a loaf? There was a solo jazz singer singing into a microphone, over recorded background music, with a music stand in front of her. Despite a lovely voice and the fact that she was truly singing her heart out, it, all the diners were talking over her, and it made it harder to converse. Despite her lovely voice, it came off as cheesy. My friend noted it was the sort of thing you would expect to see at a suburban airport hotel, not the Hyatt Plaza. I felt sorry for the singer - though it was very poor judgement to put her in that room for brunch. Good karaoke is still karaoke.

    Food was mostly good (halibut main was a very small portion and quite under seasoned; fritters were tiny and pretty basic for $18). Birthday dessert was delicious and special. Overall a nice experience, but not really memorable.

    The waitress was very friendly but there was far too much food for the family brunch menu. One of the dishes can be cut entirely as there were too many egg dishes. Perhaps a lighter dish similar to the fruit dish maybe even a salad would be more ideal. This would also bring the cost down perhaps to $55 or $60 per person which would be more reasonable.

    Joni did not disappoint us. The overall experience was an enjoyable evening. The tasting menu were a bit adventurous but well received. The wine pairing was nicely paired to some unique dishes. There were two dishes that we will definitely go back to have the a la carte. I have to say the service is one of the best we have encountered, from the wait staffs, manager and the chef were very tentative but not over the top. It was just a comfortable overall dining experience.

    The chef menu was amazing. Carefully crafted meals with awesome flavors. Would highly recommend the Ontario wine tasting too, the flavors paired well between the courses and the wine. Khalid was our waiter and he was attentive and knowledgeable on both the meals and wines, which made this excellent experience even better.

    Very disappointing cooked breakfast which was sent back to the kitchen - the hash brown was burned to a crisp, as was the bacon and could not be cut with a knife and fork. The presentation of the cooked breakfast was awful. The crème brûlée French toast looked good, and tasted good although it was practically the size of a patio stone - far too big.

    We in a group of 4 for the chef’s tasting menu on Saturday night and had the best time! We were expecting 7 courses and kept getting fun little surprises, like a savoury donut that came out halfway through our tenderloin dish, and a “pre-dessert” before the actual dessert. We felt like we had a 10 course dinner! Cocktails were amazing too which we stayed behind for. Venue is beautiful, not packed (shockingly not many people know of Joni), and service was excellent by our waiter Roy. The chef came out personally too to describe some dishes and we felt and tasted his passion for the food! We’re already planning our next visit here for afternoon tea or brunch. Easy 5/5

    Joni received lots of mix reviews. Some said very good, some said very disappointed. I gave it a try on New Year Eve. It only offers tasting menu at a price of $190 per person. Upon arrival, valet parking is almost a must, unless you parked at Yorkville public parking. Start with bread and some Italian sauages. Bread is surprising good, comparable to Louis Louix and Alo. Then oyster with creamy sauce, I like the combination, chef is very creative. Next course is the fras gois with the cute little pieces of bread. There is fish broth served, and I feel like the broth is a little salty. The halibut course is amazing, fish meat is firm and fresh. Next course is a piece big ravioli with truffle. Nice execution in this course, the waitress told us to cut in half, and there will be a raw egg inside. Last main course is the tenderloin with lobster. The steak cooked medium rare, and very tender. Finally dessert is a small cream puff with ice cream on a tart. Again, nice presentation and can see the chef put the effort on each course. I love Joni at Park Hyatt!

    There are many types of chairs and seating available at this restaurant. Many of them are not comfortable. We were having a lovely time until a singer started performing. The music was so loud we could no longer talk. Other than that the ambience was nice and the food good.

    I had a really good experience and it was quite peaceful. The ambience was really warm because of the fireplace they had. The food looked and tasted great and my favourite was the salmon. The executive chef John was kind enough to come visit our table and have a chat. They used local ingredients and cooked to perfection. The servers were nice and friendly.

    The appetizers and brioche bread were fantastic. We had the Brussels sprouts - delicious and the XO sauce is perfect! Unfortunately the main course was cold and underwhelming. We had the lamb and duck main courses. Very disappointed with the flavours, quality of the meat (a bit tough and flavourless) and overall presentation was boring. This is my second time at Joni in the past 2 months and the experience was similar.

    We had the chefs tasting along with the wine pairing and it definitely did not disappoint in the least. It was a 3.5 hour experience that I won't forget. Thank you for such a wonderful evening.

    Joni restaurant offers delicious and creative brunch options in a beautifully appointed setting. Although almost all tables were full when we visited, it still seemed open, airy and quieter than expected. Service was fantastic and their take on an eggs benedict was delicious!     Valentines Day dinner was a set menu - three courses with choices for each course. We tried two options for each course and they all left us wishing we had a bit more to to try. It was a busy night and the staff let us know what to expect in terms of timing so we relaxed and leisurely enjoyed each course. We have done the tasting menu here before and our Valentine experience just makes us want to come back and try the tasting menu again.

    There is no denying that the restaurant's décor is very high-class, and there are many netizens who will take pictures inside. There are also many bloggers who have reviewed the store on the internet about the good-looking décor. But I have to say that the taste of the food in this restaurant is very unworthy of more choices at the same price, but if it is to take pictures when I did not say. There is also the serving speed is very, very slow, we waited almost half an hour for the last dessert, I do not understand.
