Jules Bistro is a small French restaurant in the heart of Queen West right around the corner from Trinity-Bell Woods. Our mission is simple; we provide high-quality, home-style southern French cuisine at reasonable prices, great wine sourced from all over France, and swift and reliable service whether you're in for the evening or just a quick espresso.     I had a reservation for a birthday and the restaurant did not have a table set aside. We were left at the bar for 30 minutes waiting for our table, without service. The quality of this restaurant has gone down significantly. This experience was terrible and we ultimately left and went to Noce up the street and had a great experience there.

    My girlfriend and I had such a great time! Service was incredible, food was delicious and brought out so timely, and we met the owner who is such a kind man! Would recommend to all, 10/10.

    it's a shame as the quality of the food was really good and the wine was nice. but the service was awful. spilled wine, took forever. brought out half our party's meal and left the other without wine or food for another 15 mins. Also the salad is looking sad and was literally put on every plate from scallops to the lamb share pLye to individual dishes to the chevre. the same really sad looking salad came out multiple times. it's a shame as we love to support local bit probably won't go back because of the service

    We had amazing steak frites, beef tartare and grilled salmon to celebrate our daughter High School graduation. Our server was very attentive and the quality of the food was excellent. We will return, not just to celebrate another milestone. It simply because it was so good.

    The atmosphere was excellent, the service attentive and unobtrusive at the same time. The food was excellent. Two of us had the steak frites, cooked to perfection and the frites stayed crispy and light even as they cooled - which was a wonderful surprise. I loved the simple salad. My friends had appetizers and each enjoyed - their tartare, scallops, octopus. Two shared the Cote de Boeuf and were very happy with the flavours and the price. Really lovely evening. These two had lived in Paris (one for over a decade) and Jules-Bistro reminded them, vibe-wise, of the one across the street from their apartment in the 13th which they loved and went to all the time - though the food better at Jules-Bistro.

    Lovely spot with authentic French cuisine. Have craved a warm chèvre salad since visiting Paris years ago so was so pleased to see it on menu. Salmon tartar was delicious as well.

    Food and service were good. Very noisy. They called before our reservation to ask about my 2 bookings? I did call them the day before when I made the booking to straighten out my error. I left 3 messages and nobody returned my call. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    We all love Jules Bristo and come regularly but this was an awful experience. The service was terrible, the staff was disorganized, they brought our main dishes an hour late and they ruined our friends meal - and then had to make her something different because the kitchen was all out of that item. He had to aske the server for regular updates and there was communication for an hour until we asked where our food was. Really disappointed.

    Good atmosphere and service was very very quick...felt a little rushed. Not sure why Open Table asks what the occasion is...we were greeted at the door with 'Happy Birthday' and that was it...I dont expect anything on the house, but if Open Table askes for the occasion I dont see how it adds or distracts from the dining experience?? why bother asking?

    Our group had a lovely evening on the patio (which is fully covered for rainy days!) and shared a number of appetizers, mains, and desserts. All the food was incredible, the service was great, and we were pleasantly surprised that our final bill didn’t break the bank. We will definitely be back again 🙂

    Very good food, service was lacking and the noise level was unbearable. There was a birthday party on the patio, and they were exceptionally loud. Appetizers arrived with our main course, so we sent them back. Perhaps best to dine at Jules Bistro on a weeknight?

    We got our steak meal within 10 minutes of ordering. The quality of that meal is not what it used to be. They lessened the amount of salad we had as well as the size of the steak is smaller than what it used to be.
