    First time at JR. Girls night out. Our server Sophie was amazing. She was so energetic and funny. My girlfriends and I were there just for a cocktail so we didn’t try the food. We will definitely be back again and hope to have Sophie as our server again.

    Very cool vibe. Great staff and amazing food. Our favourites were the pork belly, meatballs and lamb sliders. But everything we had was delicious. We had an excellent night out here. Will definitely be back.

    Cocktails are tasty and delicious. Of the food items we had, some were better than others. Some of the flavors are there, but overall quality of how things were prepared seemed a bit low. Truffle fries seemed like we had the bottom of the fry batch with some shaved truffle that didn’t quite spread across the fries. Service was generally slow, especially given that it was not fully packed. Our server was great and acknowledged the slow pace of drinks and some of the food.

    That was the first time for us to visit the jungle room. Pleasantly surprised with the great service, friendly servers, great food and affordable pricing. We will definitely let others know of how great this little gem is in downtown Vancouver.

    Our group of friends came to try the cocktails and we loved their uniqueness. The interior design was tasteful and pleasantly green. The service was good. The waitresses were welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. We didn't like one of the cocktails that the waitress had recommended, but they were happy to bring a different one. The price point was a bit too high for the overall atmosphere, so can't give 5 stars. Would come back to try the food options, as the menu looked quite appetizing.

    This restaurant is THE ONLY restaurant in all of Vancouver that doesn’t cook their meat in toxic seed oils (canola/grape seed, soy, peanut, safflower…). They use one of the healthiest fats to cook with which rendered beef fat (tallow)!! They are pioneers of real food in this city and you can seriously taste the difference! Loved the live DJ and amazing service! Much love for this place.

    Wow all the new menu items we tried were outstanding!!! Can’t wait to come back. Standouts were hamachi crudo, pork belly, and the lamb sliders!

    Two weeks ago, I wrote a review about the wonderful happy hour, the numerous choices and prices. Unfortunately everything changed as of today so I was a little disappointed about that. I can no longer get one lamb slider one taco, I have to order a full order of both, etc. etc.. Our server was wonderful, and I still enjoy the place but I won’t be going back as often by myself as the cant have the variety alongside my oyster and fries order

    Great new place for the West End! Food, cocktails, and service were all a hit. The interior design and ambiance of the restaurant was also very nice. If you haven’t been definitely a must try!

    Our server Whitney was very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend happy hour as they have a nice selection and very reasonably priced. My friends and I will definitely be back on the regular. Three of us had wine and two tried different cocktails which they thoroughly enjoyed.

    Food is way over priced, portions are small and nothing was cooked particularly well. Extensive drink menu but missing half of it when trying to order. Waiter seemed flustered and rushed us out after an hour.

    The room is exceptionally beautiful. A great spot for a date. Their signature cocktails are very creative. The hamachi crude is exceptionally good. The octopus three ways was overall good but the tempura batter on the second “way” was too thick. Overall a bit pricey (we went for snacks not a full-on dinner) but a lovely spot and we’ll definitely be back to try more items!

    The sushi plate was amazing ! The dipping sauces were just perfect . Perfect for 2 people . The Burrard salad was beautifully put together however I little light in everything . It was a very small portion . We waited quite a while for our entrees to come . My steak was almost cool but I did not say anything . I found the size portions very light for an entree . Somehow didn't fit the price. It was a disappointment . My children wished for a bigger steak . 6oz with a few carrots and French fries . I think this should be a Japanese restaurant .

    Food was good. Service was unorganized and felt impatient. We ordered several dishes expecting them to be coursed out, however they all came at once and our two top table was overflowing. Food and drinks were good, but overall not a great dining experience.

    The one cocktail i had tasted like it was juice. There is no chance it had any alcohol in it at all. The staff seemed unenthusiastic and disjointed. Truffle fries were oily and over fried. If you can’t even do fries correctly, just quit.

    Menu is all over the place. A neighbourhood joint trying to be an upscale steakhouse with caviar, but lacks white table cloth, sumptuous decor…. Not even a placemat when they try to sell you $300+ servings of caviar. Kitchen is mediocre at best.

    Service was slow when there were only 4 tables of 2. The server kept on walking by us to other tables and barely acknowledged us. Also saw 3-4 servers just standing there chatting instead. Server took 15mins to ask us for drinks. Food took 40mins to show up. Portions were small, smoked duck was over cooked, and the carrots were undercooked. Most likely wouldn't come back. Decor is nice, buts that's about it.

    For a new place, its got a lot of good things going for it. Great music and vibe and all the cocktails we tried were dangerously delicious. The dinner entrees however were just ok and nothing stood out. Of the desserts, I'd recommend the Manjari 64% mousse.

    Unfortunately the service, food and cocktails did not meet the expectation of a cocktail bar. The service was very slow and dishes were forgotten. Drinks took a long time to arrive, and the knowledge was lacking by the staff. I was excited for another place on Denman to frequent, but for the area, I’ll stick to Espana or Tavola

    We were comfortably seated at a table for lunch and were served at our leisure, giving us lots of time to converse. They have a Happy Hour menu and an interesting cocktail menu. An excellent experience.

    Cool ambience and the cocktails were tasty and unique. Music was super loud, I think a more lounge level of music would be appropriate considering the decor and ambience is quite nice. We should have listened to other reviews about the food… our tacos were so small and tiny it was laughable, and The taste was average. Our lamb sliders were OK but dry. Definitely not worth the price

    The interiors was super cool and The food was surprisingly really good for a cocktail lounge but WAAAY overpriced. But the good review stops there as Everything else was terrible. The music was blaring and that’s me a 28 year old saying that. the drinks and service were horrendous. For a cocktail lounge their drinks were bad, it’s pure syrup taste and texture and they did not have good quality alcohol like any basic bar has and the drink mixes were the most basic I’ve seen. you should expect to be waiting most of the time, we were there for 2 and a half hours and we were waiting for food and drinks most of the time. The servers were very rude and dismissive and if you needed anything you will wait maybe 20-30 minutes for them to come around and when they do they leave immediately before you can ask them anything. The ambiance way extremely off and uncomfortable. I had read the reviews before going and I wish I had listened to them as they all say the same thing as me.

    Really cool ambiance and you can tell they put a lot of effort into design. Cocktails were really good but food was quite expensive. I felt the portions were small for what you’re paying. Better place for cocktails than food.
