I have to honestly say that I had a much better than expected experience on my visit here. It was on my radar for awhile, so yesterday was finally the day. Despite the dreary weather and perhaps quiet volume as a result of it, or appetizers and entree came out Super Fresh! Kahlo is truly the West Side's best kept secret regarding upscale Mexican cuisine. We couldn't have been happier with our corn appetizer , our seafood tostada and our lobster tacos. WE will be back here real soon, as this will become a regular place for our lunch. The decor is impeccable, the staff is great and the atmosphere is warm. On top of that, the food is phenomenal. I highly recommend this Upscale Mexican GEM. Actually, I can't recommend it enough! P.S. Be sure to ask for chips:-)

I used to loge this place when it first opened. The food was far better a few years ago. The drinks are good but there aren't enough. There is not enough tie-in to the Kahlo theme, I think they are missing a big opportunity there. The food seems strangely pan asian inspired mexican. Just not as good as it used to be in general.

Kahlo has been a favorite of ours. We went to celebrate a birthday and the menus were all printed with Happy Birthday and the name of the person. Great attention to detail! Food is excellent, service terrific and ambiance is perfect. A really wonderful experience.

The food here was very good. The bartender was remiss in informing us that it was happy hour when we arrived at 5 PM and therefore served me a glass of wine that was $23 instead of offering me a $12 glass of wine. The wine was good, but it was a short pour for $23. The food was delicious and fresh if not a bit small in the portions. The waiter was very neutral, and did not check back to ask about our food, or if we wanted anything else until dessert. The support staff was quick to take away plates that weren’t finished yet, so we felt a bit rushed. The restaurant itself is well appointed and beautiful.

This is my second time eating at Kahlo and it certainly doesn't disappoint. We spoke to the bartender how we enjoyed out drinks. 2 of us had the Enchiladas, my husband really enjoyed his Steak & Eggs. Apps were also delicious empanada's trio and the freshly made guacamole. We really enjoyed our bruch!

I was in town for a work conference, and had one free night to catch up with friends. I chose Kahlo and didn’t disappoint. The drinks were great. Goat cheese guacamole with pepita seeds was incredible. All 4 of us loved our food. At the end, they gave us complimentary tequila shots. Service was friendly and attentive at the bar and table .

My pregnant wife requested Mexican food to celebrate the new year. So I made it my goal to find the best Mexican in NYC. Kahlo definitely earned that spot for the both of us. My wife loved every dish and her mocktail! We had an amazing experience and the staff were so accommodating. Thank you!

Very welcoming atmosphere. We had brunch on New Years Eve and very much enjoyed the experience. We tried 2 different guacamole which were both nice and distinctly different in flavors. Tacos and empanadas mole rounded out the meal. Nice mix of cocktails with a twist. Would recommend and go again.

Amazing! The food , the ambiance and our waiter Edward and bartender from that night 12-29-22 were incredible. The Margaritas and the Charro Guacamole are a must. We loved that the restaurant was not in the middle of crazy middle midtown, the location is great! I will be back !

I used to love this restaurant, but unfortunately things have changed. Maybe they were having a bad night, but the service needs a lot of help. Appetizers alone took over an hour to be served. A birthday party brought in a Mariachi band that made it impossible to hear our own table for the majority of the night. The band was great, but we didn't sign up to be at a concert all night.
