Modern Peruvian & Latin Cuisine
Please note there is a 2 hour seating in effect weekends
We thad reservation at this neighbourhhood restaurant a few weeks back and they phoned us to cancel an hour before the reservation to cancel our booking due to the fact that their electricity was out. Unfortunately we had to scramble for another booking elsewhere.
Finally got another reservation this last week and had a delicious meal with great service. I have travelled to Peru and they have wonderful cuisine in country, however I was not able to identify any of the menu items other than ceviche (delicious) and epanadas (also very good). The waitress suggested "family style" ordering and the three dishes + starters ( for 4 of us) did not disappoint.
We will return!
The food was a delightful culinary experience. The flavours are rich and vivid. Made a snowy, cold Friday evening a very cozy and warm experience. Service was super. I will be back. Soon.
We did not recognize the items on the menu, but we had a
Very helpful waitress, whose recommendations were excellent, and we took every one of them!
Loved the table in the window... which I requested, and to which I will return, when the weather heats up, for sure!
The menu changed with many downsides to it. I can’t believe you would charge $3 for cancha when it is habitual for restaurants to provide it for free. We had two menus provided to us and in one section, the dishes of one menu were showcased as $2 more expensive, which could’ve been an honest printing mistake but come on. The aji de gallina lacked flavour as well as the anticuchos. The empanadas were the only item that was good. Very disappointing to say the least and consider adding items back such as the causa to the menu.
I am from Chile and we are right next to Peru... Peruvian food is my absolute favorite and this restaurant NAILED the ceviche. Keeping most of the traditional flavors and presentations, they've added a modern twist but keeping all that makes Peruvian cuisine such an amazing experience. I am SOOOOOOOOOO going back. Also great service, I would've loved to get the name of our waitress, but she was fantastic!!!
The food took more than 30 mins to be served. The lomo saltado was full of soy sauce and the meat was too hard to bite. Nothing like the original lomo saltado, also no fries.
The pisco sour was ok.
I'm Peruvian, I grew eating Peruvian food everyday, I don't feel like the food was on point, I ordered the limo saltado and it tasted very vinegary also the anticucho were cut too thick and raw inside that's not how I ever had them. The cake was good though
Food was very good but it took way too long to get our food
The best part of our evening was the food and service. It was a little pricey, but good. The worst part was the noise level which was so high that I could barely hear my dinner partner and we had to lean in and shout across the table at each other. I don’t know if they do that on purpose to ensure that people do not linger over their meal. I found the amount of noise made the experience less than enjoyable.
Great ambiance, food was delicious, the menu descriptions are hard to envision however the staff have tried all the food and ask them for recommendations. They know what’s good!
Food was really good but portion sizes were tiny. I enjoyed our meal but I wouldn't go back due to the value aspect.
We were two people and one of us ordered the quinoa salad with chicken added; when it arrived, the chicken was undercooked and we handed it back and substituted an appetizer. The wait staff handled it excellently; apologized and my friend was offered the appetizer on the house. A classy response, indeed, but excellent wait staff can't make up for an indifferent kitchen.
My boyfriend and I came to this restaurant and ordered the chicken skewers, which came raw. We asked for new ones and they took the bits of already eaten pieces and reheated this on the grill. Secondly I ordered a drink with no ginger (I have an intolerance) which came with ginger. I sent it back and when it came corrected, I asked for a second round and they returned it back with the finger as well.
Very disappointed with the service as they treated us as a nuisance.

Food very good but not exceptional. Pisco sours small for price. Music was cool. Overall too pricey for what you get.
As always our dinner at Kay pacha was AMAZING! Outstanding ! Delicious food together with out of this world drinks take us in a trip to Peru that you won’t want to come back
Great food, a little bit expensive but worth to try.
Great food, great atmosphere very trendy
Went there for husbands birthday dinner he had the Miami ribs they were delicious
Great staff and tasty food. Worth the money.
The food is amazing, they use fresh ingredients and the portion sizes are large especially for the seafood and rice dish with the mussels around the bowl. The Pisco Sour is awesome! Love it here
Highly recommend for an authentic Peruvian meal. It’s a great atmosphere and a small venue. Great for a date night or just a night out. The food and service was amazing. Will definitely return. Given that it’s a small restaurant, I’d highly recommend making a reservation in advance.
The food was tasty and the service was great, but there was a very unpleasant smell throughout the restaurant coming from the basement steps.
Sat at the bar. Amazing food. Sad they got rid of the skirt steak though. Wings and pisco sours 10/10
First time trying Peruvian food and would definitely go back.
This is a great spot in my neighborhood. I've only had the ceviche and yucca fries both times. Both are great, but portions could be larger.
Service is friendly and attentive.
Second visit to Kay Pacha - this time we came with 6 people - Saturday night!
Food was outstanding, as always - noise level is off the charts. Could not even communicate with the people at our table ..... too bad! Don’t think we will return until the summer when we can sit on the patio outside.
Ceviche could use more salt, and drinks could be bigger for price.
All in all, we had a fantastic meal. We rolled home after with our Timmy's happy and full.
The place had a weird smell when we arrived, the manager close the door that lead to the washrooms and it got better, all the
We were 6 of us, and one of the kids was waiting for her meal for one hour and 20 minutes. We asked not to put garlic, and the food had garlic.
The manager didn't charged us for the meal, but the experience was so bad, that I would not expect him to act differently.
First time to Kay pacha, food flavours were GREAT but overall a little disappointed. Expensive for what you get. Lots of emphasis on cocktails-(which were quite pricey), wished we were warned about portions since we split two things to try. Waitresses seemed annoyed with our choice of low budget first time visit- (Sometimes just having a little at a new joint to test the waters before dropping $80/person is necessary!)
Excellent food, ceviche and the scallops are one of my favourite dishes. The service is excellent and waiters provide some great recommendations for drinks and food.
The food was very good. Their ceviche was more soup than I am used to seeing, and there was a LOT of it. It's also really, really limey...they use a LOT of lime juice that I felt really overpowered the dish. I also had the Pollo Saltado which was excellent. Their pisco sours are absolute perfection...exactly the way I remembered them from when I visited Lima.
They were out of a lot of options on the menu, basic things like coffee and fish of the day. Seems like it's badly managed, but the food was delicious.
Overall very tasty, good service and atmosphere. Their coffee machine was not working and two of the dishes were not available. Given the limited menu, this was a bit disappointing. Also some of the dishes seem very pricey. For example $32 for a noodle dish.
It was excellent, Hasan in the bar was amazing service, though I have to mentioned that he had to cover for some lack of attention from one of the waitress, FOOD WAS Absolutely Great!!
First, our party of 4 were sat at a large round table that could have easily fit 6-7, with the noise level, we felt we would be yelling over he noise to talk. We asked if we could wait for one of the regular 4 tops but were told NO. We thought about leaving but decided on a Friday night it might be hard to get in somewhere nice. We had a reservation so we stayed. We all slide to one side of the table and got cozy.
Second, the food was very good with the exception of the chicken stew which was awful, bad cafeteria food at best. Oops in the kitchen or what?
Third, the service was strange, starting with the hostess (see the first item). We wanted to try as many dishes as possible so we shared 6 dishes. With the arrival of each dish we had to call the waitress back over to get a serving utensil. After a couple times we asked if they were unused to people sharing and they said yes that was usual but still needed to ask every time 🤔. Because each dish was so different, Ceviche (amazing) to empanadas (delish) to Mussels (good) we wanted new clean small plates, they looked confused by our request. It was a strange vibe.
Unfortunately, the search for a great Peruvian place in Toronto continues!
The food was absolutely delicious and service was way above and beyond. It was unfortunate that they were out of most wines and all desserts. Will definitely be back and will recommend to friends.
Best food in Toronto .. or the whole world. Love this place!
Food was absolutely delicious. However attire of servers made it less appealing. We were the only ones in the restaurant at the time but food took quite a long time to arrive. Wine list extensive but selections overpriced. Bench style seating was synonymous to a cafeteria style decor.
I went to Kay Pacha with my family to celebrate a birthday. It is a lovely little restaurant with a relaxed vibe, beautiful decor, and warm ambiance. The service was good with attentive wait staff. It was a pretty chilly with the A/C pumping when we got there at 7 pm, but it warmed up a bit as it got busier - bring a sweater just in case. The food was quite good for the most part. The highlights were the Ceviche de Atun, Gnocchi Huancaina and the Chaufa de Quinoa - all very delicious! The Chaufa de Mariscos was also tasty, but needed a bit more seafood and spices to punch it up to excellent. Our least favourite dishes were the beef heart skewers which were unfortunately a little tough and a dish (the name of which I can't recall) that was like a stir fry with noodles, seafood & chicken - it was quite bland. I would come back again now that I've sussed out the menu for the real gems!
Very good food on the a bit pricey side. Service was outstanding and the food excellent. We enjoy Peruvian food and found that two of the dishes we ordered were superb, the others were very good.
Book early for a table, the bar is dark.
