Avoid this place during covid. No music was playing during dinner so the ambiance was very unpleasant and the staff checking us in at the door was very rude. We arrived for our 9:30pm booking and before I could even say hi we were told to leave because they weren’t taking any more customers. When I told the staff about our reservation I got a big sigh from the man at the door who told us to wait while he had staff check to see if they had a table for us. He then proceeded to tell us that we will have to eat quickly because with covid we have to leave by 10:30pm, which is completely understandable and an hour is enough time to order and eat but the attitude and tone and way it was delivered was unnecessary and made me feel very unwelcomed. He should have instead told us to view the menu while we waited which is now accessible only through a QR code. We didn’t know about the menu until we were seated. I also asked him if there was any music playing and what time the restaurant closes and he seemed annoyed that we were even asking and spoke to us like we were stupid. If you go, prepare to be shooed away quickly. However, our waitress was very nice but it was hard to enjoy my meal after being made to feel like we were an inconvenience and we shouldn’t even be there.
Had a fantastic New Year’s Eve dinner at this restaurant. Despite the ongoing restrictions, we felt safe and taken care of. The food was great and our server was attentive and helpful
We had a great dinner, and service from Nathan. Food, as always was excellent, drinks were good. Great as as always. Kaytoo is our “go to” Spot in the Village! We always come back.
Very good service and food. Thank you and happy new year
Awful experience. Food was disgusting. Tiny chicken wings. Rubbery chicken breast. Server was friendly but Far too overpriced for what it is. We couldn’t wait to get out of here. Save your time and go to Copper Blue.
Great location. Choice of dishes was good and especially liked Adobo Chicken. A little noisy but what the heck. It was fun.
Would recommend, food and service was good. Definitely will come back!!
Avoid. Waitress and food were poor. Spilled drinks, forgot cutlery, food was cold and over salted. When spilled drink all over my wife waitress said she would get her another. No kidding. No apology. Table next to us heard our conversation and said they had the same poor experience when it came to their food and service. Said perogies still where frozen when served. Said hard as a door stopper. Save your money and to the Copper Blues Grill.
It was freezing cold inside, the food portions were small for what you pay, the bruschetta bread was very disappointing, it was a bowl of the toppings and you had to make your own at the table. Extremely disappointing dinner out when you spend $200 with a drink each
Average food, under average service, long wait for food, part of the menu is not available
Great food, excellent service. I would eat at Kaytoo anytime. I highly recommend this place.
way overpriced for the value received. That's Blue though.
The food was great and the service was perfect. Our server was very nice
Unfortunately not a good experience. Waitress embarrassed my wife. My burger was good but the rest of the group didn't like their falafel burger.
We went to this restaurant for our 50th birthday. The kitchen lost our order. When the birthday girl got her order finally the chicken was raw. We left before dessert.
Paying for xtra for fries and cheese on a burger that is already $20 and very small seems a little crazy. Restaurant atmosphere was nice and service was good.
Food was pretty good.
Manager was super rude, server was an angel
Steak was very over cooked but tasted fine, chicken fingers very overcooked and hard, stir fry was extremely saucey and chicken in it was chewy. Taste was ok.
This was our favourite place in blue mountain village to date, the menu was large and full of variety and the food was delicious. A great place to dine!
I was here for my birthday with my girlfriend and friends. We had good time. The food was good and a lot of variety. Overall good.
Food was good! Very cold in the restaurant - turn up the heat! Had to ask for cutlery and condiments.
It was my wife's 50th Birthday & it was not even acknowledged even though I noted it on our reservation!!!
We were seated in a crammed in area, like our table was a last thought due to overbooking, which we overheard the hostess state to another couple who arrived without a reservation. The setup was poor and when we asked to be moved they said they were unable to help. However, the couple seated beside us were moved to a nicer section when they asked.
The service was less then satisfactory and while the food was good we will not recommend nor try it again.
We were Extremely disappointed!!!
If we could have got a reservation in another restaurant in the Village we would have left in a heart beat!
Good food in a warm, friendly atmosphere in Blue Mountain Village overlooking Mill Pond.
The food was good and the service was amazing. Food a bit expensive but other than that it was good
The tables were sticky, more of a bar like atmosphere. Noisy with large groups behind us. Food was just warm and not worth the cost. The drinks were really good though.
The food was typical pub quality. The quality was pretty much what we expected but the portions were smaller than expected based on the price.
Food was very tasty but I found the jumbolya too salty for my heart condition. Service was excellent and your reservation system works!
They didn’t care about us they ignored us
We booked a reservation at Kaytoo (first time) on Nov 17 at 9:30pm and can’t say enough about the positive experience we had while at the restaurant. It was our 4th year dating anniversary and ended up being the only customers in the restaurant. The food was freshly made to order (it was delicious) and we were surprised with a free desert (as it was our anniversary). We would love to come back again if we ever have the opportunity.
Maybe it was because it was 8 pm on a Monday but the place was empty. There was no ambiance the lights were bright, the tables were bare nothing on them. Very disappointed as we were expecting a nice cozy environment to have a good chat after a day at the spa
Food and service was amazing. The tables were toooooo close to other tables. It was hard to have a conversation with my spouse when I could here 3 other conversations.
Pasta was good, just a little over priced. Do not had one choice for wine by the glass - server didn’t know where it was from. Atmosphere was excellent.
Food was okay, I'd go back but with a smaller table (we had 8 people) and hope that the service would be better. It is a nice place and during the time we were there it saw busy at first... Towards the end I thought our waitress forgot about us.
The service was amazing! The food came out incredibly quickly and was so delicious!! I highly recommend this place!
We had a very nice birthday dinner!
It was decent food but nothing to write home about.
There were a few issues. When I fine dine.. I'm paying for a service as well, a tip at the end of the night. We continuously had to ask our waitress to remove the dirty dishes.. and, when we were done with the food.. the same thing. This is quite unsatisfactory to say the least. And, the issues would food was also not acceptable from dried our corn cob to cold coffee!! The food that was served was ok.. the steak was extremely salty. The calamari served for the price was not considerable. For future reference.. the seasoning contains salt. Cooking with too much salt is harmful!
I dined here several years back and it was impeccable from food to wine to service!! The 18% tip was non deserving from my part, unfortunately sad because I prefer to dine local helping out our local businesses as I own 2 of my own.. one of which is on Collingwood.
We made reservations for 9:30 and did not have access to the main menu, only the late night menu. We were not advised of that when making the reservations and food is mediocre at best.
Enjoyed our time at Kaytoo! Made it extra special for my baby’s birthday.
My wife and l we had dinner. We took advantage of their Tuesday special and it was fantastic.
