Kaytoo needs to improve their ambience. Everything is fine there, but the lighting is flat, there is nothing on the walls and no music. It seems they could do a lot more to make it feel more cozy or alive - whatever you’re going for. But for now - it’s just not the first place one would choose to go in the village.

The staff were very friendly and very helpful. We sat on the patio for lunch on a Monday. It was not too busy which was great during these crazy times.

It took quite a while for our server to greet us and for drinks to arrive but once we ordered the food it was fairly quick and overall delicious! Would definitely go back as everything tasted super yummy!

You can tell that in normal times this is a club and the staff are used to line ups and the ability to turn away people as such staff is not well trained and service was sub-part at best.

We were a family looking to hang out in a casual environment to eat and drink for a few hours apres-skiing. We don't mind paying for the service but they didn't seem to catch on to that fact as the food delivery was slow, food had obviously been sitting under heat lamps prior to making it to the tables. And the servers didn't follow up for repeat drink orders or attempt to ensure the quantity of food ordered met our needs. In the end, we left as our teenage kids were still hunger and we went to another place to get more food and drinks.

Food was okay. Restaurant was empty on Wednesday at lunch during covid. Biggest disappointment was that my burger was 19$, not including a 2$ upgrade to get fries instead of chips.

The food was okay. We ordered nachos and the topping were on the top with nothing underneath the top layer.
The hamburger was okay also, for the price it was pretty small for a restaurant hamburger.
The jambalaya was good but small.
The atmosphere was great and the staff was great.
It us a typical restaurant for the Blue Mountains Village

The hostesses were very accommodating and organized at the door. We waited at the bar for our reserved table and the bartender was attentive and quick.
We went to our table, our server came over immediately. He was super friendly and attentive.
The weird thing was our food came out within less than 5 minutes of ordering, so it kind of felt like it was just sitting there waiting to come out. My fish and chips was super soggy when it came out, so our server was great in taking it back and fixing the issue, but a new one came out in about 30 seconds. It felt a bit rushed getting our food that quickly. I don't like to feel like my food is sitting there like a fast food joint waiting to be sold.
I also wrote in our reservation notes that it was our anniversary and it went unnoticed.
Overall the service was great but the food was not very good. Pretty bland and definitely not worth the high prices.

I booked a reservation on open table for Kaytoo at 7:15 pm 3 days before and when we had arrived there was apparently only 1 table left and it was underneath a staircase. We ended up asking to sit elsewhere. And had gotten a seat a bar like looking high top table. Poor planing on their end as all reservation should be equal.

Staff was not courteous and in fact they were rude. The server rolled her eyes when I asked for a straw for the water. The plates were snatched from the table and it was a chore.

For the cost, the food quality and service was subpar. When we entered, we were ignored and they kept taking in other people who walked in after us. Makes me wonder why I received such treatment compared to others? Even though I had a reservation and others didn’t.

I am sorry to say that the Kaytoo experience didn't live up to what we expected from the good menu we perused on-line from which we made the decision to go to Kaytoo! On paper the menu looked varied , tasty and upscale. But it didn't rise to our expecations.

The ambiance is very poor. A tired pub. Nothing warm or enticing about the interior. And AC/DC was CRANKED on the speaker over our table . They did turn it down for us which was appreciated. The hosting staff were kind and polite as was the serving staff.

The food however was mediocre at best, especially considering how nice read on the menu.

Appetizers
We had ONION SOUP - which you shouldn't be able to mess up but, there was no broth in it because it was completely filled with bread croutons! It was like eating a soggy wet bread mush. With cheese and onion flavour. Someone senior in the restaurant, who knows food, needs to try all of these dishes!!

Main
The Jerk chicken was very dry. The "street" corn cob was a mess to pick up and eat and it was bland! As was the rice.

The Beef Short Rib pappardelle was bland too! The Beef short rib pieces were too small, they added a little bit of texture but not much and the sauce was bland. Since beef short rib meat is essentially shredded when it comes off the bone. The whole dish was one mushy consistency with no welcoming flavour.

The Pulled Pork on a bun was likewise bland and dry. Pulled pork is very hard to differentiate from others who have it on their menus. Essentially it comes down to the BBQ sauce you smother it with. Do it well or don't put it on the menu.

The Striploin steak as OK. Its hard to mess that up. I was done medium rare and the veggies were fine but average fair. The Steak was supposed to be 10oz but they only had 8oz steaks.

We don't blame the staff, or the cooks, the problem is in the Ownership or management of the restaurant. The oversight is just phoning it in. Its a shame. Gordon Ramsey would have a field day.

As a return customer my family and I always have an amazing experience at Kaytoo. From the food, to service, atmosphere and management. I couldn’t ask for any better. My favourite dishes are the fish and chips, stampeder burger, and the pulled pork. Highly recommend, it’s my “go to” in the village. Plus... this most recent time I visited, today they offered live music (solo artist, sectioned off from the seated tables) which even given safety protocols - is a refreshing sense of “normalcy” after living a year in covid restrictions. Speaking of covid restrictions - they are very thorough on cleaning, ensuring you know the protocols, and that the safety procedures are actually being followed. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

Visited for brunch. Food was terrible, server was nice. The best item was a burger that was $28. That being said, it was clearly a frozen burger that was not worth more then $15.

We had a reservation for 830 but didn’t get our table till 9. In fairness the restaurant was super busy and I don’t think they were equipped for how busy it was since it was the first weekend being in the green zone. Manager was super understanding which our frustrations and compensated us with a round of drinks and an app which was nice. Once we got out table we waited 15 min for a server to come over and take our order. Once our food order was taken (note by this point it’s 930 and we are starving) we didn’t receive our food until after 10pm. Not to mention two of the glades of water we were served were chipped and sharp on the edge of the glass. Food was grossly over priced for portion size but tasted absolutely delicious. I would recommend going not on a weekend as they did not seem prepared for the crowds at all.

My husband and I had dinner here. They have a large drink menu with lots of fun options! He got the bacon maple Caesar and I got the heaven is purple - both were pricey, but delicious.

For dinner, I had the stampeder burger and sweet potato fries. The garlic aioli is awesome! The burger was nothing special. However, my husband had the surf n turf and it was well worth the price! The steak was soo good - cut like butter! The lobster was a little over cooked, but still good. We also shared the French onion soup, which was delicious.

It was fairly busy on a Friday evening. Definitely make a reservation. Our waitress was very friendly, but a little scattered. Had to request silverware, napkins, and water refills.

We would go back!

Food was amazing for starters!
We did the igloo dining... it was freezing cold which would have been ok if we were pre warned but we thought it was be heated. The heater had to stay on low because it kept blowing a fuse but you couldn’t feel it at all when it was on low.
So we ate with our coats on. We were told they had blankets they could give us so we said thank you and then end of night were told they will charge us for the blankets. So we left them behind because we didn’t know we were being charged since no one told us that before we received them!
A couple of the guest I was with felt very comfortable by the larger male staff may have possibly been a manager by the way he took charge ... he kept whispering to staff infront of us, inappropriately pulled a female staff out of the igloo by her hips then by her apron tie in the back because she wasn’t suppose to be in the igloo due to covid but a few of the guest I was with made a good point, he could have just told her rather then physically pull her while she was in the middle of taking our orders.
1 guest ordered a glass of sangria and without being told we got a pitcher. She said no she only wanted a glass and instead of taking it back they pretty much said no can do and we had to pay for a full pitcher.
The igloos were in a beautiful spot and well lit and again the food was incredible but with high prices but I would still pay for a great meal like that.
We enjoyed having a place distanced from others.
I would come back again but would dress in many layers for the igloo haha.

We were disappointed in the table distancing and Covid 19 protection methods in place at the restaurant. There did not appear to be any capacity reduction and the only protection was portable clear dividers that did not provide full separation. Had another guest approx. 4 feet away from us with no barrier between. Not what we expected given the current circumstances.

Food was okay and service was fast, which was good given we wanted to finish our meal and get away from the situation.

I was fine with paying their extremely high menu prices due to the location, but I was shocked to see a final bill of $80 for 2 lunches (no appetizer, no alcohol, and no dessert). For a very small glass of soda water with 90% ice cubes (with 2 refills) we were charged $13, and for a side of salsa, $6. For $80 we received one burger with fries, one spinach dip with salsa, one diet pepsi (no refills) and one very small soda water with 2 refills. They overcharge and add multiple upcharges to the bill without telling you - stay away!!
