The Premier Cajun & Creole eatery in the Kansas City Metro. We let the good times roll at the Bistreaux, so join us for a unique dining experience! Each reservation made at the Bistreaux is assigned a 2 hour time slot. In order to help ensure a seamless guest experience, we will seat parties once at least half the guests have arrived. We ask for guests to be prompt with arrival for reservations. A 30 minute grace period is granted for each reservation time. Once outside the designated grace period window your reservation is not guaranteed. For parties up to 8 people, reservations can be made through Open Table. For parties of 9 or more, private events, or catering needs, please call 913.766.5319 or email bistreaux@kcdaiquirishop.com. You can follow us on FaceBook for special events, live music, and themes.     The location in Overland Park is closing as of today, 10/15/23. The menu was reduced due to the closing of the restaurant and still some items were out even on the minimized menu. Also, the place was getting busy after we sat and maybe because of not enough staff, the service was not up to par!

    Customer service was great, food was good and hot when it came to the table. The drinks where on POINT. The owner was outstanding. Stop by today and get you a nice hot plate and even better drink.

    Restaurant had some supply issues that limited the menu, but we made due. The food we had was great. My to-go order was missing the fries (wing basket), but other than that, my wife and I had a decent time. Don’t worry, we’ll be back. It’s a gem of an eatery.

    Music, atmosphere, food, attentive and friendly waitress was all wonderful which was perfect being my first time visit. My only disappointment was the dish I wanted was not available. Also, some drink ingredients were not available but we were offered alternatives. I enjoyed my experience.

    My wife and I went to the Bistreaux again and took a couple who had not been before; needless to say we all had a great time. As sometimes happens there were some menu items that were not available but there were still plenty to choose from. This has happened in the past but the narrowing of choices made me try their red beans and rice for the first time and it was amazing. Being born and raised in Louisiana that dish was the best I've ever had and I've had a lot. The couple we took to the Bisteaux on Thursday night instantly loved the food and the atmosphere. I think it became their favorite restaurant instantly. Keep up the good work 'cuz we'll be back!

    Good atmosphere and service. The day we attended several of the items we wanted to try from the menu were not available which was disappointing. It was surprising that several of the staples were not being served. The meal was good, except for the missing items. The daiquiris were very good and cold excellent for a summer day. Will try again and hope that we can enjoy a more complete meal.

    My wife and I have gone to eat at Daiquiri's several times with friends and the food is always top notch, service is spot on and this occasion was no exception. The noise level was very low because we chose to go before the band came on at 7:00pm but we have been there for dinner after they started; it's still not bad if you sit out on the balcony. It's quickly becoming one of our favorite places to go.

    We picked the wrong time to go I guess. They were out of any deser desserts, fryer was not working so fried foods which eliminated most of the items. No potatoes of any kind.

    Service is slow, but very friendly. Come in expecting to wait once you sit down. f you've only got an hour, move on. Our server was so super sweet with our kid. It really made our day. The daiquiris are delicious and reasonably priced. Four or five items were 86'd off the menu, which got a little confusing. The food is incredible! You can tell that most items are made to order like they would be made in a home kitchen. For friendly service, delicious food, and a great daiquiri menu, I'm totally willing to wait. I'll be back.

    This was my third time coming to the restaurant and I have not been disappointed with each visit. The host, waitresses and owners are very nice and very pleasant to talk to. They were very accommodating to the size group I was with as well. I will definitely visit again.

    The food was great when we finally got it!! Service was not so good!! Under staffed,, the waiter forgot all about us, she took my order said she’d be back to take my friends order took forever to come back ,, my food arrived my friends food took forever, I had to go ask for my friends food,, we had to ask for our ticket so we could pay and leave reservation was at 1pm we left at 4pm,, it was only 2 of us,,, no reason to be there that long! When we arrived it was only 3 other parties seated,,,,,,, the waiter needs to learn how to prioritize and handle the customers In the order in which we arrive!! and most of all finish what she started!!!

    FIRST TIME HERE. LOVED THE ATMOSPHERE OF THE PLACE, LIVE MUSIC, LARGE GROUPS OF PEOPLE CELEBRATING SPECIAL OCCASIONS OR JUST BEING ALIVE; FOOD WAS VERY GOOD AND AUTHENTIC FOR A CHANGE (WIFE AND I ARE FROM LOUISIANA) GREAT CRAWFISH ETOUFFEE AND BOURBON BREAD PUDDING. SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD EVEN THOUGH THE PLACE WAS STARTING TO FILL UP. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK, I HAVE AT LEAST A DOZEN MORE MENU ITEMS TO TRY. SEE YA THERE!

    The atmosphere was great. The food was good. The only problem was staffing. We were seated and the person that seated us stated she would be back to take our order. She never did. She started working at the bar. We had to get the attention of the only other waitress that was helping a large group of people that seemed around 15 plus to to take our order.

    Apon arrival the Hostesses wasn't very welcoming, the aura was lively the food was delicious however my husband plate wasn't very appealing kinda slapped on the plate. Our server was polite and quick.

    This was my second time dining here. The 1st experience was great, food was awesome, service was excellent. My second experience wasn’t so great. The wife and I went here for my 44th B-Day and the waitress gave us plastic ware to eat with, and my food came out cold. Not sure what happen.

    Service was crazy slow. Drinks came after the appetizer. They were out of 2 items we wanted. My shrimp was burnt. There were some people celebrating a birthday that brought in their own music that was so loud we couldn't hear our own conversation. Why management allowed it is beyond us.

    They had a kitchen problem so it seemed like all the tables before us had pasta dishes, and all the tables after us had pasta dishes, but for some reason during the time we were ordering, they were unable to do pasta, which is one of the few things on their select menu and what we all came for. Specifically the blackened chicken pasta. So the only items available were fried foods nothing seasonal. We all ordered baskets of chicken tenders and or fried fish for seven people. We paid close to $200 for chicken finger/fish baskets and 2 daiquiris. we want this place to survive because it’s new and some thing different but unfortunately I don’t know that we’ll try it again.
