Kelseys Original Roadhouse - Upper James Street
After 20 minutes we asked hostess if anyone was serving our section, as no one had come to take even a drink order. Waited another 5 before they sorted out who had our section and sent someone over. My order was incorrect so my husband ate alone while I watched and waited for a re-make then I ate alone while he watched.
Quite disappointing. Once we had a server he was quite friendly and apologetic.
Stood inside the door for 10 minutes before someone greeted us and and took us to a table. Service was very slow due to only one or two looking after all patrons.
Server tried to talk us out of ordering coffee at the end as they did not want to make it as they were trying to close and did not wish to waist a whole pot for just three of us
Once we were done our meals she presented us with the bill before even asking if we wanted anything else or desert.
Felt we were An inconvenience being there on a Tuesday night at 6:30pm and was like they were not happy to see customers.
Made a business meal very poor.
Went to Kelsey's on Friday night with another couple. Sat done and were greeted and asked if we were ready to order. We placed our drink order and when it was delivered she asked if we were ready. Felt rushed. Food was ordered, and was just okay. We waited for several minutes with empty glasses and waitress was no where in sight. Finally got the second drink order. Seems like Kelsey's was short staffed.
Overall had a good time but the value and service is starting to lack.
They didn't have enough side plates. About says it all.
This was my first time going to this Kelseys The service was excellent and the food was great. I would definitely go back.
Four of us ate there on a Saturday evening at 5 pm. We had wings, tenders, hamburger, Caesar salad, mashed potatoes, fries. All were delicious and hot. We had a very personable and attentive young man as server who had started working there a few weeks prior. Wished he wouldn’t call four senior women ‘Guys’ though. Other than that, a great experience. When I had reserved online, I had asked for the quietest part of the room and we had a nice cozy corner. I would go there again.
Food and service were great but food took almost an hour from the time it was ordered to get to our table.
We understand it’s during a difficult COVID-19 but staff were not happy to see us. We had made a reservation but waited for a table. One other table of 3 Only other people in the restaurant. Could only do beer or wine not even a spritzer?? Food was expensive for mediocre salad, fish and chips. Disappointed
Overall very good. Music in the restaurant made it a bit difficult to have a conversation though.
honestly the booth system while separating us from other guests does not work at this location. Every time the person in the booth behind me moved it shook the back of my seat and was a bit annoying while having dinner.
I also did not like the fact that one of the people they sat behind me walked in with his full mask on his chin exposing his mouth and nose, this is against the protocols in place and should not be allowed. Then he was allowed to stand right beside me, inches away, while they were loading their kids into the booth behind.
I won't go back to this location unless they are tighter on the rules
Worst Kelseys that I've been in - really need some capital spent on its decor / interior. The plastic dividers between certain tables made a very uncomfortable environment. There was close to 2 hours where 3 different parties were crammed into one area while "reserved" seats a proper covid distance sat empty. Not good management.
Our waitress was nice and the wings were good.
Considering the ccircumstances surrounding COVID-19, we had a great dinner experience. First time in a restaurant since mid March,
They are takingvall the necessary precautions
Great to get out
Great! Our waitress was so kind!
Very dirty lots of people complaining floor wasn't swept garbage all over didn't have time to complain till this popped up on my phone
Good service from Alice. Very attentive and friendly. However service was slow for food and chicken was a little overdone.
Friendly staff really good food
Ordered a mojito and it was very poorly made. Tasted like pure alcohol, and not even the right kind. Not worth the almost 8$ charge.
Could tell my meal was ready before my boyfriend meal. The presentation was not appetizing. Taste wasn't good and it's something I usually order at Kelsey's but don't usually go to this location. Even tho it's closer to our home.
Even the service was slow waited 25min to receive our pop and water.
Even when we mentioned to the server how we had to wait for 1 hour for our meal. She argued saying 27min then said we'll it is Valentine's day.
We were both very disappointed with meal and experience.
The spinach dip and desert was good. But we left hungry.
Our server was great. The entire place was nice and relaxing. Food was very good. I would definately go back to this location
Excellent food and service well worth the price. I have been there several times and will be happy to return
My food came burned and cold and when it was replaced it was hot and burned. My glass came dirty as well. It was a horrible experience
Maybe at a quieter time when with more than 2 people.
This location was much more enjoyable than the east mountain one we visited earlier this month where the movie goers were loud and the restaurant was excessively crowded. We would not return to that location for another family meal. This location had an acceptable noise level except for one table of ladies celebrating a birthday....understandable though. Food and service was good.
Booked a table in app. Received notification didn’t attend after finished dining. Portions were good value for dollar.
Tasty food, excellent service! Tables a tad
But close together but otherwise it was great
Reservations at 6, seated at 6:45...you do the math!
Waitress ‘Autumn’ was amazing!
It was really busy so the service wasnt great. We were told that if we wanted half price wings we had to order a drink. I had a coupon for a free dessert for my birthday and was told that wings weren't an entre so no $4 free dessert. We spent roughly $60 on food but they wouldn't comp my free dessert. Won't go back. Its more a principle. Most restaurants will bend over backwards for your business but not Kelseys.
Our waiter was fantastic! It was for a birthday. A complimentary dessert to share was very nice and thoughtful and IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!!! We haven’t been here for a while so we will be sure to come back again
The steak was a very small portion. Otherwise the the other meals were tasty and well portioned. The beer was excellent.
Nice atmosphere. Music isn’ too loud. Great friendly service.
Food had great taste, but the steak was red in the middle and we asked for well done, no red.
I had to wait for my table to be ready. I didn’t get my table until 6:20 when my reservations were at 6. We had a great time anyhow. Waiter was great!
Was booked with a very late party, but even after they left it was loud and our food was seriously delayed. Ordered only entrees and they took over an hour, were luke warm, and an order was wrong. The rest of us finished our meals before the fixed order came out. They had to change a bun to a wrap.
Food was great for my wife and kids but my steak was no where near medium well. So it got taken back to the grill but came back just chared on the outside and still rare on inside. Even when the waiter came back to check he was disappointed that it was still rare. To be fair I didn't get charged for my steak dinner even though I ate my mashed potatoes and veggies. I would not recommend steak dinners at Kelsey's but everything else in the menu is amazing.
Everything else was top notch and kids loved their meals and got give it to Kelsey's for the best wings ever.
Food was great. Service was quick and friendly.
Outstanding service by Brian. The only thing is paying $22.00 for a chicken ceaser salad with tip is too expensive.
Slow service. Meat under cooked. Mistakes on bill
Went to use open table check and they told me they dont use open table for reservations. When I showed her reservation she then said they dont take the open table checks. However I have used them at other Kelsey locations before
