This is our fourth visit to Kibo Sushi Secret Garden and each time it’s been fantastic. Over the course of our dining experience, we have discovered our favorite menu items and perfected our ordering. This time, the service was as attentive and personable as we have come to expect, and the food was sublime! We particularly enjoyed the salmon sushi pizza, the tuna tartare, the toro sushi, and the shrimp gyoza. The “secret” is out, this hidden gem is one of our favorite recent “finds”.

We had such an amazing experience here! The staff were really sweet and funny, and made it a particularly fun night out :) Sato was the best part of the night! Ask for his autograph.

This is quickly becoming one of the standout restaurants in the Yorkville nbhd. Not only was the food delicious and beautifully presented, but the service was off the charts. The O-toro and uni were both sublime, and we can also highly recommend the tuna tartar and fried gyoza (shrimp, in our case). My only regret is that they currently lack the option of an omakase experience. Oh well, something to look forward to……

We frequent the Leslieville KIBO location, but this was a treat! The Yorkville location (although more pricey) makes the adventure worth it. The bluefin tuna is 👌.

The food was incredible. The Wagyu melts in your mouth. The rolls and sashimi were delightfully flavourful and an absolute joy to eat. The only downside was we sat at the bar, so it felt like we always had a server or two waiting to take an order, clear a plate, or top us off. I understand they were doing their job to their best, but it took away from the overall atmosphere of the place and made it feel rushed. Will definitely come back and sit at a table!

Awesome new sushi place in Yorkville. Excellent quality, fresh fish, and unique dishes that were quite delicious. We really enjoyed the tuna tartar, O-toro and wagyu. My wife also loved the Mojito she had, and we both enjoyed the sake. The service was excellent, friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was also very nice,…great music too! A bit on the pricier side, but you certainly get what you pay for here….and it IS Yorkville, after all. 🤷🏻‍♂️ We will definitely be back and have already recommended to some of our friends. Well done!

My daughter and I really enjoyed our lunch on the patio here. It’s sitting right on the street. So there is a fair bit of traffic noise. But the tables are really nice and it is protected. This is my first time here, the food was of high-quality and well presented. Good service. Attentive. I recommend it.

Kibo secret garden has a lot of positive review from yelpers, and tonight is my first time trying this Japanese restaurant. We ordered Unagi Don, secret sashimi platter and wagyu aburi. The wagyu aburi actually is a big surprise to me, it is even better than JaBistro in terms of flavor. Unagi Don on the other hand is a bit disappointed, eel in thin slices, lack sauce and a bit overpriced. Finally the sashimi is fresh, but $60 might be a bit costly. Overall I will come back next time to have the sushi and sashimi. Also looking to try their omakase as well.

the food are amazing. The fish is so fresh and great quality considering the price. To add on the grill squid and the mixed tempura are amazing as well. My only complain is some of the small flies get into the ground floor which i find quite bothersome as I need to sway my hands all the time to prevent the flies get on my food. I hope you guys can find a way to deal with this problem.

Restaurant staff was friendly, service was good, though there were a lot of fruit flies around our table/in the bathroom. Food was very underwhelming, between the secret sushi and secret sashimi set, there was one otoro, and others were pieces you can find in most AYCE places. The fish tasted good but doesn't match the price, you can find better value at this quality or pay the same and get better quality elsewhere. I would not recommend it to those who are looking for great sushi.

We were disappointed. The experience started off negative as the check in guy was rude and said we reserved a patio table; which we did not; I showed him the reservation and it did not say it was a patio table. It was freezing outside and he refused to sit us inside. We just about left there and then but then we’re convinced by the owner to sit outside. We did. The sushi itself was mixed. I enjoyed the aburo rolls but the rest of the sushi was nothing specials had a green dynamite roll, spicy salmon - which tasted like it was previously frozen salmon, and even the avocado-cucumber rolls were average. We got the bento box to go which took over 30 min to Make and again lacked flavor and was again disappointing . I suspect the experience would have been different if we had eaten indoors. The other people seated outside were as miserable as we were. I wouldn’t go back.

Well first off we waited approximately 1 hour to get a table. The waitress kindly offered a round of drinks while we waited. She said to scan the menu. So I thought we could pick the drink. Instead she came back with two glass of champagne. I don’t like champagne and the person I was with doesn’t drink. The staff was nice but the service was sooooooo slow. The food this time was ok.

The food was quite nice, but the night we went, although small, it was incredibly noisy and loud. There was an older server who got our order wrong and reservation wrong. We ordered drinks to begin which took 30 minutes to come, when we followed up, she simply answered "We're busy, what can I do" but we were simply following up politely. I think if Kibo wants to step up their quality and price, service has to be a key element as well. Our dinner took incredibly longer than expected and overall doesn't seem like the service I was expecting.
