The restaurant was great! The only thing I didn’t like was the hostess tried to sit us along the window where you are all most sitting with the people next to you. We had reservations for a week for 3 people and there were at least 6 empty round tables. Give the bad tables to walk ins!!

Excellent dinner. We met family for a celebration after work and enjoyed everything. Some had the Barbecue Short Ribs and others had steaks, we tried a few sides, all of it was flavorful and expertly prepared. We didn’t really save enough room for the carrot cake though, but tried it and it was amazing!

We had the chicken fried steak, filet, mac and cheese, and carrot cake. Food was seasoned perfectly and done as requested. So, so good! I want to go back every night!

Michael was our server and was outstanding. He made recommendations that were some of the best dishes on the table. Food was delicious! But the AC situation is disappointing. We just could not enjoy our meal - my guess it was close to 80 degrees in the restaurant. This was our second visit and it was similarly uncomfortable the first time as well.

The food is well prepared and has delicious flavors and great selections. However, the restaurant is so hot they had two external fans blowing and it still didn’t resist the heat in the restaurant. I would give this restaurant five stars but the air conditioning couldn’t combat the heat. This isn’t the first I have experienced this air conditioning issue at this restaurant.

Everything on this menu is delicious and delightful. A few items, such as the maple pork belly and the carrot cake, are transformative. This is simply one of the finest steak houses in North America.

Fantastic meal and great service! Really like the quaint, less stuffy atmosphere that usually goes along with an excellent steak restaurant. We had the oyster appetizer, steak entrees and carrot cake dessert, everything was fantastic! Would highly recommend to those looking for a great relaxing meal!

Steak is usually the best but my dry aged ribeye was super fatty and over cooked. Asked for medium rare plus. Came back medium plus plus. No red all light pink to grey. Service was fine at first but middle to end waiter was distracted by complaining table next to me.

The food quality and quantity was excellent. It was a late day service on Mother's Day, they are usually closed on Sundays. Service was attentive, but not hovering. We loved the specials!

Food was good, with lots of strong tastes combining salt, smoke and bbq, which was exactly what I was expecting. Given the prices we were paying, however, I found the restaurant a little ho-hum... Killens STQ is a noisy boxy interior with piped music set at a level that tries to compete with people's conversations. It was not terribly busy on the night I was there, but the noise level was already high. The kitchen is open into the dining space, and although we were sitting far enough from it to not be overwhelmed by cooking noise, the smokiness of the kitchen permeates the restaurant. Be prepared to smell a bit like an opened bottle of Ardbeg when you walk out. Overall the dining experience was good, but I was also in the mood to spend... another night I might have balked at the cost.

Killen’s STQ is my “go-to” restaurant for the best steak in Houston! My thanks to the Management and Staff at Killen’s STQ are always cordial and help guides us to the most delicious offerings of the day. Mike K is an exemplary host and has been our concierge for the last two visits. Mike is extremely knowledgeable, entertaining and attentive. All my best to Mike for making this visit our best yet. The manager Andrew was absolutely amazing. I didn’t have change for the valet. He reached in his pocket and give me a $5. I will be returning that to him and Killens with great interest. That’s is going over and beyond customer service. Great hire

In a word, FANTASTIC! Wonderful cocktails! Do yourself a favor & order the tamale, delicious! The steaks are flavorful, tender & cooked to perfection! It was fun that the sides are served “family style”. The service was top notch. Our server, Shane, was entertaining and an expert on the entire menu. Killens STQ is by far the best steakhouse in Houston!

Steak was a bit tough, and the waiter, while nice, was a bit on the slow side with respect to tending to our table. Several times, drinks were not filled up. It can get a little claustrophobic in the restaurant!

Truly a gem! Love the intimate atmosphere here. The feel is upbeat and food-centric. Good wine list to accompany a truly outstanding menu. Always go back for the ravioli, enchilada and tamale as appetizers. When available, their off menu wagyu filets will be some of the best you will ever eat. Don’t miss out on their carrot cake — worth the calories every time. Friendly, not stuffy, staff added to the charm. Always worth a visit!

Had a wonderful family meal on Good Friday. We booked early time, but place was full by 6:30. The food was outstanding, but it’s priced accordingly so be prepared. My wife and I shared the Waygu flight and it was phenomenal (and a relative value as Waygu goes). The kids had lobster bisques to start and all enjoyed…then had ribeye and Waygu burger and ate every bite. We closed with four different desserts and everyone thought theirs was “the best one” as we ate. Everyone said they want to return, so theres nothing more I could ask for in a family meal. Service was friendly and helpful as would be expected. Looking forward to returning.

The food is so well prepared. Wedge salad and Chicken Fried Ribeye for the win! Unfortunately, we were dining with a very large and loud group. Not the restaurant's fault unless they can make some acoustical improvements. Whatever you do or don't do, please don't change that CFR. It's the best in town!

Probably the best steak you will ever eat. But everything else here is absolutely top-notch, from the cherry chipotle glazed porkbelly or grilled oyster appetizers to the life-changing carrot cake! Superbly crafted cocktails as well! I take out of staters here to show them what real Texas steak can be.

We’ve dined here before and was looking forward to the level of service and food quality as we previously experienced. Our server, Julia, was nice, but pretty lackluster at times. She did not provide any specials, recommendations (which we could clearly hear other servers offering to other diners). We definitely did not receive the expected dining experience we expected OR that compared to the other experienced servers. Our food was still warm when it arrived, but we could clearly see that it was waiting to be picked up under a light. Just disappointed in the experience. If we go back, we will ask for a more seasoned server and get the level of service we deserve at those prices.
