   It took about 10 minutes for the waitress to acknowledge us. She didn’t pay attention to order, the water was horrible. Overall service was horrible, food was ok, definitely will not return.

   Great food. I like energetic atmosphere, but this was really loud . So if you don’t like excessive mouse level … would not suggest. Great menu selection and service

   I believe our server was new. We waited quite a while for a drinks and then our salads. One of my party had to send her salad back twice to get it right - oddly the first return was litterally the same salad just presented on different plates. We had our salads perhaps 3-4 minutes when here comes our entrees. Since they have gone to the smaller 4 top tables to allow for more seating it was quite the juggle to get all the plates on the table. They did offer to take it in the back - but I asked if they would sit under warming lights. The runner said yes. I said no - I would prefer my MR steak to stay MR. So we were bombarded with food. When we finished our salads and entree we then waited for our desserts. The server came by to ask if we wanted to order desserts and we reminded him we had. We waited at least 15 minutes for the desserts after our initial 5 minute wait for the server to follow up with the entrees and ask about wanting dessert. We had reservations at 6 showed up around 6:10 due to traffic. The restaurant was maybe 1/3 full. By the time we left it had reached about 3/4 full max. So I don't think the restaurant was too busy to offer reasonably relaxed service. My friends and I go to new restaurants during Restaurant Week to identify restaurants we would like to add to our weekly rotation. We dine out every weekend and this is a great way to try new places without being totally disappointed by the price. This experience however does not warrant a return visit for a quite a while.

   The atmosphere is really nice and the people that greeted us were extremely friendly. But the waiter that we had was a little aggressive in demeanor, and wasn’t very pleasant despite us smiling and thanking him often. He seemed angry or as if he was having a bad day, the interaction was just very uncomfortable. We had the restaurant week brunch special and mimosas. The food was OK. This was my first time trying King Ranch. Even though it wasn’t a great experience I would give them another try and just hope for better service next time.

   Went for my birthday. Ordered the king ranch casserole, disappointing. They had crunchy tostada shells which made it hard to eat vs the normal soft corn tortillas.

   We chose King ranch Texas chicken off the Houston restaurant week menu, what a great choice. We enjoyed everything. We did the Cajun redfish which came out fabulous the sauce on it was excellent we had a great appetizers as well. Will be returning soon!

   Very good restaurant was a Texas original feel. The menu has some favorites for Texans and the environment makes you feel like you are dining at an upscale ranch house. Great for a business dinner, couples' dinner or family.

    Our waiter, British was great! I ordered steak & eggs came with cheese grits The grits were room temp but ok. Scrambled Eggs over cooked. Hubby had eggs Benedict with country fries. A meal he would order again.

    EJ was the best waiter! Very informative and knowledgeable. Quite courteous and sweet. My good was served cold. (Shrimp and grits) and he made sure I had a replacement.

    Food was good, and our server was attentive. The portions were a bit too small though this could be because it was the Houston Restaurant Week menu (we had ordered a 3 course brunch meal during HRW). The big complaint was that it took very long to receive each course and we waited almost 30 minutes for the dessert course.

    We went for brunch as part of Houston restaurant weeks. The service was wonderful. Highly recommend EJ! The bread pudding was very dense that a spoon would barely go through. That was our only disappointment.

    The food was above average. The brisket queso dip was very good. The cocktail menu was subpar with limited choices. The wait time for cocktails was too long. Very noisy.

    Service was slow and poor. Food was average. Almost left to go to another restaurant because the server was inattentive and very slow. Took quite a while to place our order after flagging someone down to help. We will not to returning to this restaurant. Disappointed.

    Quite a surprising dining experience. It's an upscale Texas ranch theme accentuated with historical touches (very tastefully done) of the history of the King Ranch. Very warm and welcoming. The food was excellent - the menu is wide-ranging to say the least. The biggest surprise may well have been a very well curated wine list. Yes, we'll be back!

    The food and atmosphere were excellent. Calamari was tender, our seafood dishes were delish, the only drop off was our service was a bit slow. Upon inquiry, they were short handed which is systemic of late so I didn't really publish our server for that. Everything weeks was spot on...... we'll definitely return!

    Too loud. Need some acoustical tiles or something so sound does not echo all around the rooms. We love being outdoors there but way too hot for that right now!

    Been many times and enjoyed greatly, last night not so much. They were woefully understaffed, I know many places are, but they shouldn't accept reservations mid afternoon for same evening if they know it is a problem. Short staffed also means the place look unkept, hard for one bartender to keep cleaning, fixing drinks and serving them. Just disappointing, food delivered not very hot - imagine sat on the counter waiting for pick up. Everyone was hustling. But too many people/tables to do things right.

    The best brussels sprouts I have ever tasted in my life! Our table was near the door. Therefore, we had a small issue with flies but I would definitely eat here again (but in a different area away from the door). Management treated us to dessert as an effort to smoove over our experience. I can’t say that the portions were generous but the food is excellent. I will definitely visit this restaurant again and I would even bring out of town guess for a true king ranch experience.
