A sophisticated but warm space and great food make this a wonderful new addition to the Northshore dining scene. Love the energy of the space. The hangar steak was perfectly cooked and oyster shooters were oh so fun. Roasted veggies and whipped potatoes were our favorite sides. The turtle eclairs were OUTSTANDING. A couple of spicier sauces to go with the onion rings would have been great.
I would recommend it for business meals too.

We came to Kinship last Saturday night after seeing a play at Northwestern and it was a magnificent dining experience! The food was all delicious, and the ambiance and wait staff absolutely lovely. So happy to recommend this hot new spot to any visiting friends. It was my Uncle's birthday, and our waitress Brittany helped organize a candle to be put into his apple strudel at the end of the night. All-in-all a wonderful time, I can't wait to come back and try Next of Kinship too!

Great addition to hopping Evanston restaurant scene! Warm, friendly service (shout out to Marissa who was outstanding!) and well prepared food in a great space. Kinship is our new favorite! Salmon was unique and absolutely delicious. Eclairs are notable signature desserts and terrific. Note that Victor in the kitchen is a veteran Evanston chef who has prepared some of the best dishes in town over the years. A surefire success is in store here!

Lacked atmosphere and had strange bright lighting. Food was good, bartenders were great, but we don't recommend it.

The food was EXCEPTIONAL!!! I so glad hat Chef Victor Hernandez of The Stained Glass is back in Evanston!!! Once you all are further along, I will love to see what Victor does to make his mark on the menu! The pasta with lobster and scallops was absolutely incredible!!! My ginger cocktail was delicious!!! The service was impeccable. We can’t wait to come back!!!

The space was lovely and the floor to ceiling windows provide wonderful views making the dinning room light and airy. The cocktails are inventive and a nice way to begin your meal. Our group shared a few small plates to begin. The charred sprouts were definitely the highlight of the starters. The smoked trout dip was a bit too firm and would have been better a little closer to room temperature to allow the flavor to bloom. The veal meatballs were somewhat dense? Surprisingly so considering they were made from veal. Two of our guest had the hanger steak and said it was well prepared. The salmon was clearly the highlight of all the entrees. The scallop and lobster cavetelli was devoid of flavor and under seasoned. The dense herb cream in the pasta desperately was in need of a hit of acid, perhaps some citrus zest to cut through the richness of the pasta and seafood. Our server was friendly and attentive but a bit awkward. The owner dropped by the table to introduce himself and came by again during our meal to see if we were enjoying our meal. He stated that this was the first full week of service. I am sure with some time, careful reflection and thoughtful feedback the food and service will improve and feel right at home within this beautiful space.

Dim the lights. Turn off the TV. Turn up the music. Inform your servers when dishes are no longer available. Three items on the menu were not available and we were only told after we ordered.
