The ventilation design very poor, very smelly from head to toe.
Chinese waitress was so rude. Set menu was poor quality! Very expensive!!
Overpriced even in Happy Hour. The food was like 6/10.
This is my sixth time dining in Kintan and every time is just as good as the last. It just never ceases to impress me. The choice of food and the value is amazing and it creates such a social vibe because you all have to grill your food on the same grill so it’s a great atmosphere. Would recommend this without a doubt to everyone. One of, if not my favourite place to eat out.
Had a really nice experience and all staff very friendly and helpful
Great quality meats, however portion size was on the small side.. flavours were delicious especially the small starters.. dips cost £1 each would be nice if they were part of the meal. Beers ok selection.. nice atmosphere
Went for a birthday meal, went during happy hour and for the two of us came to just under £130.00 though we were enjoying some of the more premium meats. This is our go to restaurant when we visit London and already can’t wait to go again!
The style of the restaurant is excellent! The meats and vegetables available to order are all well-prepared and the staff are good at advising how to cook your food.
We had dinner last time , group of 6 people. Maria served us, super lovely! Everything with a smile and food wise was perfect.
We’ll be back for sure
Really nice food quality and local taste. Loooove it!!!!!!
Love this restaurant, outstanding food and great concept.
Great food, excellent service. It's a lovely place to eat whether taking children, going out as a couple or in a large group!
Nice food as always, but as it was so busy, drink didn't come for a while and the customer service was pretty bad. Very disappointing..
First time having this type of dinner and it was very interesting. The food was good. We will definitely come back.
Too pricey and seem staff to busy to serve us.
Waited for morevtgann20 mins for first orders served
Good value for money. Food was good but getting the attention of waitress/waiter wasn't the easiest thing. Overall it was good, esp there are many Yakiniku in the south.
If you are looking for a Yakiniku restaurant, the kind you find in Tokyo, you will not be disappointed!
What a find! We went to Kintan with another family of 4 after my friend found it on a cheap eats listing - and we were delighted to find it is as delicious as it is cheap. Kintan is a BBQ joint, where you cook your own meat at the table - but far from being the gimmicky, overpriced tourist trap that so many of these places are, the food is excellent and the range of menu options is outstanding. There is an excellent range of BBQ items, all tasty and easy to cook well - my personal favourite was beef with a garlic butter that you heat on the grill and dip chunks of meat in. The sides were delicious, especially the bipimbap and the garlic noodles. A great value BBQ menu gives you a starter each, plus 2 or 3 BBQ items and a side. There's also a good kids' menu - and needless to say the kids loved grilling their own meat (and chips and edamame and fingers...!). And at the end of an epic feast, the bill came to less than £25 per head including drinks. Highly recommended.
Service was very slow.
Incredibly rude staff, it took 45 minutes just to get our first drink. I would not recommend.
Highly satisfied with the authentic Japanese in London
Great service and all stuffs work so hard just as Japanese Korean BBQ restaurant in Japan. Really impressive. Beef quality was great except beef tongue was too thin and firm. It was expensive but I understood that it is in London and I recommended here better than Korean BBQ place.
Food was great as always. Quite noisy as conversations are competing with the loud music. We asked to move to a vacant table guys beside us are rowdy, it was not full yet but we were told we are not allowed to move. why?
The server his english was not really good he was honest about it ( bless him) when we ask him what's your best seller he cannot explain anything.
Excellent food, outstanding experience, lovely staff would recommend to everyone
Very good and tasty. Pork belly was great. Service was wuick and good
Cibo complessivamente buono e servizio molto efficiente. Ottimo rapporto qualita'-prezzo durante l'Happy Hour.
Really good food, good service and worth giving the sake a go
It's my 3rd visit and last . Too busy, even though table was booked. I had to wait 30 mins because table wasn't ready. No apologies.
The server was rude to us..even though we were polite. He threw the food plates on the table and gave us our bill before we even asked and was finished.
VERY POOR!
Really a great place to dine out with friends!
Good spot for casual dining, caters well to big groups. Service was brusque, rushed and inexperienced, the plates/table could be cleaner (quite grubby and had to ask for a clean plate which returned twice with grease all over it) but the menu choice makes up for this with a good value happy hour.
Good place for lunch or dinner with friends.
I liked the tap Asahi beer.
Varied options with beef, chicken and seafood.
I asked a Japanese friend about the BBQ and she said that as far as he knew, it was more a Korean thing. Anyway, I liked it and I might come back soon.
We had so much fun here with very good food. Would love to come back sometime!
Our reservation was at 9.15pm but we had to wait until 10 pm for our dinner as there were no available table. We were tired and famished by then. The restaurant should improve on its reservation system.
Nice environment but you get absolutely rinsed in terms of value for money. I spent £30 and I was still so hungry I ate elsewhere on the way home. The beef bibimbap was essentially devoid of beef.
The food was very good as always but this time the level of noise inside was too loud with a lot of people screaming and you couldn't hear what the other people at your table were saying.
Dined lots of times and will still dine many times.
We went to Kintan for a birthday meal . It had been recommended by my Son and his girlfriend. We were able to enjoy a leisurely meal, which took 2 hours but were able to relax and was easy to digest. We liked the fact that we could cook the food ourselves. We chose the family menu and a few extras. There appeared a lot of food but it was the right amount for three adults.
I needed to change my booking time to an earlier slot and in doing so, caused a little confusion, as I had originally booked with Open Table and the called the restaurant to change. I had forgotten to cancel original time at open table.
Also our trainee waitress took our bottle of wine away before we had finished it, but we got t back in the form of a new small bottle. And we were given spinach instead of mushrooms we ordered, but recieved the correct vegetable after calling the waitress.
The toilets in the ladies room were a bit broken and there had been a water leak in one of them.
Overall a lovely restaurant and food
Truly authentic and enjoyable. Great place to eat and talk with friends. Although the heat and noise is high, it just makes it great because no one can listen in on your conversations.
I'll be sure to go back it was a great dining experience and the food was amazing .
Everything was perfect except the hostess at the entrance who was very cold and unpleasant. Fortunately the rest of the staff was charming.
