Dinner was great as usual. Service was great also. After having dinner with Horiatiki salad for years at Kipos the salad was a disappointment. There was very little olive oil and almost no seasoning. If you are going to eliminate this part of the salad please add dressing and spices at the table.

We had a fabulous meal at Kipos! We split a Greek salad and each ordered a fish entree. Everything was cooked to perfection. We were celebrating birthdays, and our server, who was attentive and friendly, surprised us with a free dessert. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Dinner was not good, nice place but food quality bad. Vegetable medley served with the lamb chops was worse than truck stop food. Over cooked mush at best verging on unidentifiable pile of slop. The 3 pork chops were essentially one big bite of meat each and the rest fat on a bone, under cooked at almost raw and cold level. Soggy overcooked vegetables served cold too. Menu presented was different menu than posted online. For the outrageous "market price" for this meal, find a truck stop with an adult cook...

Quite crowded for 6pm on a weeknight, and thus very loud, impossible to have a quiet conversation so we had to speak with raised voices, like everyone else! Our server Alex was helpful, but clearly had many many tables to serve so we waited longer than I'd expected to at several points during the meal. We enjoyed our food (trout, meatballs, rotisserie lamb) and the desserts (mousse and flan) were generous portions for sharing. The drip coffee was excellent.

The kalamaria was very good. I'd order it again. One tiny lemon slice was not enough to accompany it, but to be fair, I could have asked for more. I did not care for the side dish of spanikoryza (spanikorizo?). Way too much spinach (that was slimy), very little rice. However, some people might like that. The service, from Michael, was really great. Very attentive without hovering. Helpful to those in our group with specific food allergies. Overall, a very good experience. Been there before. Will go again.

Kipos is an absolute favorite of ours. We now live within walking distance and has become a regular spot for us. The inside is great, however, the outdoor seating is like being in a garden! Food is consistently delicious!

Meh. Mediocre Greek food. Somewhat loud. Prices were reasonable. Server was bad and not apologetic about entree that was sent back…. and did not refund! Not impressed with desserts. Overall, nothing special, and certainly not worth waiting for a table.

Hector was fabulous. Very helpful with suggestions and attentive, but not hovering. We didn't feel rushed at all. Our mezze platter and grilled octopus were outstanding but the lamb shank special was bland. Such a great place tucked into the corner of Eastgate. The musician playing definitely lent to the ambience without being too loud. Have to sit on the patio next time.

I love Kipos! It was our new fav spot in Chapel Hill. Love the live music, food, dancing, drinks, service, ambiance, beautiful garden patio etc. and we loved it so much we went back for brunch the next day!

They were slammed, so drinks and food were a bit slow to come out, but food was great as always. Had the French toast and pancakes and bloody Mariam’s. Wait staff is super friendly. All around great brunch. We go there a lot and we’re always happy.

First time at this restaurant, and we will definitely be back! Our service was just the right balance between helpfulness and not interrupting. It was a busy Friday night and they seemed well staffed. Atmosphere is great sitting outside on a nice evening. Parking so much easier than trying to be on Franklin Street. Food(appetizers, fish special, and souvlaki) were exceptional.

The service was excellent, The server was very knowledgeable with the menu items and the wine list and gave us a couple of good suggestions on appetizers and wine. The food was prepared and presented very well. I order lamb every time I am at Kipos because they prepare and season lamb in the best way I've tasted anywhere else. I can't say I've tried everything on their menu but what I have tried has never failed to delight. We had outside seating which was very comfortable and spacious.

Very disappointed with the Fishermen's Fish Soup. This dish was my favorite item to order, and I have gotten it 4-5 times. Although it's a very pricey item ($32) (plus $15 for a glass of wine), I have always been willing to pay the extra money because the soup contains: firm whitefish, octopus, shrimp and scallops that hold together nicely in the wine/tomato broth. It was served in a deep bowl that keep the soup hot for the entire meal. Fabulous fish dish. Unfortunately, when I ordered the same dish last night, the wonderful firm whitefish had been replaced with potatoes and the dish is now served in a flat bowl. So disappointing because the menu item no longer holds it's value. I have aways taken home a small serving to enjoy for lunch the next day. This was not the case last night. It leads me to believe that the new bowl is smaller than the previous bowl, making the portion served smaller. Unfortunate because the food was lovely and server was fabulous. The value of this meal has decreased, and I don't plan on returning to Kipo's. I would only recommend this restaurant for a special occasion not a standard monthly or bi-monthly experience. If you want make it more like stew, add a potato, but don't cut back on the value of fish or size of dish it's served in. Your regular customers can tell downsizing.
