The restaurant was closed and we were not informed.
The venue always has a very professional yet warm atmosphere. The staff are helpful and genuine. The food, drinks and entertainment is tops in the area. Would definitely recommend to family and friends!
Wonderful in all respects, including food,, service, music and ambience
This was our first visit, as we are friends with the band leader. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the experience a very good one.
We were concerned at the number of people allowed into the place. Everyone was checked for ID and vaccination, but we couldn't eat and drink with masks on.
I put on my mask when I was finished my meal. I didn't see anyone else do that. The staff were busy, and could not police that. People moved around without masking.
We will be back with friends for food when there is no band, which should reduce the number in attendance.
Great food and pleasant atmosphere. Asian bowls are excellent. While almost all the aspects of my visit were very good, the specific evening I visited was very cold outside and made the interior of the restaurant a bit cold. In those rare cases if a curtain could be put on the door that might help. UPDATE: I am informed that this issue was a one-time occurrence and is being addressed. Great news!
The food was really good - I had the coconut curry with chicken and the portion size was very generous. I was part of the group that participated in the Classical Guitar Night so I am biased but the live music was what made the meal memorable.
Open Mic every Tuesday night showcases some of the best talent in Calgary.
Great local venue that supports the arts. Fantastic food and friendly staff.
Great reception and hospitality from the staff, you feel welcomed. The food wasn’t my cup of tea but to each their own.
Food and ambiance was great. Service was horrendous. 1 server for the entire restaurant. Had to wait 20 min for a water and to order.
What's the point of making reservations if you get there and they just added an extra chair to your friends table instead giving you the table you reserved.
Lovely evening, delicious food, great attentive staff and nice live music.
Booked a reservation at Koi on a day of an event (we didn’t know there was an event going on). We were told we had to pay 15 dollars to watch the show and was not allowed to come in even though we had reservations. Once we were able to enter a few minutes after this misunderstanding (we didn’t need to pay for the event), we were told to go to our table when there were other people sitting on the table. We requested for them to sanitize the table and it seemed like the staff was not prepared for us at all. Besides that, the meal was amazing and the whole experience was lovely.
Food was awesome, lovely spot. However, once the live band came on our evening changed, the music was WAY too loud, to the point that we had to leave to continue our conversation. The band were amazing, so if you were there for music rather than conversation, then great!
Everything was incredible except that the following day we found our receipt and realized that our server charged us for a $55 bottle of Champagne when he served us a $13 bottle of Prosecco. I really hope this was an honest mistake.
Lovely room, great service and very good food
We really enjoyed the music but it was a bit loud and we had trouble talking during dinner. Unfortunately you ran out of all desert which really wasn’t great for a birthday celebration.
The music and ambiance was amazing but I had higher expectations for the food. My beef was tough, the dish was simple, and the flavors seemed pretty ordinary.
Every time we’ve come here the food is fantastic and the service is equally good. I love the support for local artists and quality without being pretentious. I’ve gone other places in Calgary for vegan cuisine and music and none measure up to Koi. Must try the gyoza and noodle bowls! If you want a quiet spot too you can always just call to see when the shows start and go earlier, it’s a great vibe even without a show.
Great food and service. Live performance is outstanding. Very warm and romantic place
Great service, great meal
Atmosphere was great. Food was tastey, however, I feel the price was too high for the quantity of food, especially the crispy noodle dish
Amazing vegetarian food!! Drinks are not too bad.
Excellent vibes :) Definitely recommend going to the open mics
Open mic Tuesdays are the greatest!
Cozy, welcoming atmosphere and wonderful service. Love the live music events.
Came to see out friend Bill Ladick perform with Kim .
Food and service were fantastic . We will be back
Food was not good, service was good, patio was not good either, too close to the road
My husband and I went there for dinner and we had a very nice experience. The green papaya salad was outstanding!
The free comedy show was a fun surprise and we stayed to the end.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
I was very impressed by their Covid safety practises, these people clearly care about the health and comfort of their patrons.
Yummy vegetarian choices.
Great service, loved the music! Very friendly and kind!
Great place for live music.
Everything was great! I just found the food pretty expensive for what we got.
This is my favourite place for live music in Calgary. Amazing food.
I love the ambiance at Koi! The live music was so wonderful! I was impressed with the COVID safety measures taken at Koi. I'm not a huge fan of Asian style food, but I was able to find something that I could enjoy. My vegetarian family members enjoyed their meals very much! Our server was outstanding, very friendly and professional, checking in with us often. I thought that the price was very reasonable for the quality of the food and experience. I would return to Koi in the future!
The bar tender didn’t know how to make the drinks on the menu. Staff seemed a bit frazzled
Love this place!! Music was amazing, staff was friendly. 10/10
Too many people in the room,no social distance maintained as many do not wear mask!
No crowd control!
