What's the point of making reservations if you get there and they just added an extra chair to your friends table instead giving you the table you reserved.
Lovely evening, delicious food, great attentive staff and nice live music.
Booked a reservation at Koi on a day of an event (we didn’t know there was an event going on). We were told we had to pay 15 dollars to watch the show and was not allowed to come in even though we had reservations. Once we were able to enter a few minutes after this misunderstanding (we didn’t need to pay for the event), we were told to go to our table when there were other people sitting on the table. We requested for them to sanitize the table and it seemed like the staff was not prepared for us at all. Besides that, the meal was amazing and the whole experience was lovely.
Food was awesome, lovely spot. However, once the live band came on our evening changed, the music was WAY too loud, to the point that we had to leave to continue our conversation. The band were amazing, so if you were there for music rather than conversation, then great!
Everything was incredible except that the following day we found our receipt and realized that our server charged us for a $55 bottle of Champagne when he served us a $13 bottle of Prosecco. I really hope this was an honest mistake.
Lovely room, great service and very good food
We really enjoyed the music but it was a bit loud and we had trouble talking during dinner. Unfortunately you ran out of all desert which really wasn’t great for a birthday celebration.
The music and ambiance was amazing but I had higher expectations for the food. My beef was tough, the dish was simple, and the flavors seemed pretty ordinary.
Every time we’ve come here the food is fantastic and the service is equally good. I love the support for local artists and quality without being pretentious. I’ve gone other places in Calgary for vegan cuisine and music and none measure up to Koi. Must try the gyoza and noodle bowls! If you want a quiet spot too you can always just call to see when the shows start and go earlier, it’s a great vibe even without a show.
Great food and service. Live performance is outstanding. Very warm and romantic place
Great service, great meal
Atmosphere was great. Food was tastey, however, I feel the price was too high for the quantity of food, especially the crispy noodle dish
Amazing vegetarian food!! Drinks are not too bad.
Excellent vibes :) Definitely recommend going to the open mics
Cozy, welcoming atmosphere and wonderful service. Love the live music events.
Came to see out friend Bill Ladick perform with Kim .
Food and service were fantastic . We will be back
Food was not good, service was good, patio was not good either, too close to the road
My husband and I went there for dinner and we had a very nice experience. The green papaya salad was outstanding!
The free comedy show was a fun surprise and we stayed to the end.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
I was very impressed by their Covid safety practises, these people clearly care about the health and comfort of their patrons.
Yummy vegetarian choices.
Great service, loved the music! Very friendly and kind!
Great place for live music.
Everything was great! I just found the food pretty expensive for what we got.
This is my favourite place for live music in Calgary. Amazing food.
I love the ambiance at Koi! The live music was so wonderful! I was impressed with the COVID safety measures taken at Koi. I'm not a huge fan of Asian style food, but I was able to find something that I could enjoy. My vegetarian family members enjoyed their meals very much! Our server was outstanding, very friendly and professional, checking in with us often. I thought that the price was very reasonable for the quality of the food and experience. I would return to Koi in the future!
The bar tender didn’t know how to make the drinks on the menu. Staff seemed a bit frazzled
Love this place!! Music was amazing, staff was friendly. 10/10
Too many people in the room,no social distance maintained as many do not wear mask!
No crowd control!
Thanks to invitation by John Reid it was our first visit at KOI. It is a lovely small restaurant. Friendly staff and food exceptional, We'll be back.
Great work as always! Wow I love the Spring rolls :)
Wonderful experience for a small party. So friendly and accommodating. I requested a virgin drink and she iced my apple cider as a courtesy. So happy with all the meals.
Great food, music and very friendly staff. Great sanitization practices so i felt very safe.
I always enjoy going to Koi. The menu has many options and the staff are always attentive of your needs. Would recommend for a couples dinner.
Gem of a restaurant with ultra tasty menu items, a definite go-to for a great lunch and excellent service.
Lunch with a cousin I haven’t seen for quite a while. Her first time at Koi and she loved it.
Came to listen to the Jazz band. Overall the place is great. Have been here before.
I found the sauce accompanying the gyoza and the salad dressing that came with the Koi salad to be way too salty! Didn’t enjoy the food because of that. My drink and latte were great. I would come again but not order food. The first time I came I remember not enjoying the food either. Maybe my taste buds.
We wanted to hear live music so picked Koi for an evening out. First time there and what a wonderful place! The band "Jazz Works" was excellent and the food superb. Very friendly and perfect service added to the quality evening. Would highly recommend this fine restaurant for an evening out with friends or just a romantic night with your someone special.
The coconut curry with tofu is a favourite of mine. Great spot for lunch but greatness takes time so give yourself the extra time to dine. :)
They took a reservation for our group through Opentable.ca for the 17th at noon.
We all show up, and they're closed.
Very poor administration and organization. Our group was left scrambling and we wasted taxis and ubers.
