   Our server Kaitlin was outstanding. She had to put up with three older jokers who challenged her to no end. Food was decent, atmosphere is really great. On a previous occasion the food was entirely too spicy, covering the flavor of the food so make sure you're specific about your desires.

   Being that it was Mother's Day, we knew it would be challenging but we were seated about 25 minutes after our reservation time and then told the kitchen would be about an hour wait for our orders. This is the first time we got up and left Kona. We love it but probably won't go back for a holiday. And this was at 6:30p... So what should have been after the major rush.

   Do not go on a holiday. We have a 5:30 reservation on Mother’s Day. We were seated at 6:15. We ordered our food by 6:30 and our food arrived at 8:00pm. It was not a good experience.

   Kona was way understaffed and everyone was waiting 45 mins for drinks and 1.5hr for food. The food that came to our table was very good but the wait time was so incredibly slow - likely a problem with understaffed kitchen?

   A real awful experience for a "Mother Day's celebration lunch". Our reservation was set for 4 people at 2 PM. When we got there they told us that they couldn't take us. They asked us to comeback in 30 minutes. We came back and were seated, and then, our waitress told us that the kitchen was behind 1 to 2 hours behind, depending on the dish. We had to get up and leave and order takeout somewhere. Not sure who's to blame, the Restaurant or Open Table. Somehow our celebration turned into a nightmare of a Sunday's Mother Day!!!!!

    I had a reservation for 1:45pm. We finally sat down at 2:45pm and then our server informed us we would have to wait 2 hours for food. The server was brave and nervous to let us know that, but we appreciated his honesty. I wish the hostess was just honest and we would have left right away. It was a disappointing Mother's Day. Someone needs to check into the management of this restaurant. I won't be going back to the restaurant.

    This is one of these places you would have to catch on a good day. We had a reservation still had to wait 45min to be seated on Mothers Day. The hostess had a “it is what it is” attitude which is totally understandable, but why accept reservations knowing you may run late on a Sunday which is most popular for brunch anyway? They had limited capacity and average hospitality and professional skills. Our reservation was at 1:45pm and we got our main entrees at 4pm. Interesting experience.

    First I will preface that it was Mother's Day and it would be busy no matter where you go. That being said, I was a chef for 16 years. I know exactly what that feels like to be buried all day long. However, when my reservation at 1:30 got bumped to about 2:10, it is annoying but understandable. The server did tell us that the kitchen was behind and that we would have delays of at least an hour before the food came out. Again, understandable on a busy holiday. The server proceeded to get our drink order and shortly after our meal order. That is all fine, but that is when the wheels fell off. Since I had been in the industry for so long, I like watching from the dining room now and making observations. Wish I could make that my full-time job! The restaurant was massively understaffed! That was very easy to see from my vantage point just outside the kitchen. Table 31 I believe. From where I was seated, I saw at least 10 tables that were completely open. That is a result of not enough wait staff and that is revenue that is sadly lost. I am not sure if that is something that could be changed in OpenTable or not. My guess is that the number of reservations and the number of tables that would be seated did not match up. Secondly, our server was very nice but she could have made way more money if her focus was not so much on waiting behind the expo for the food to come out, and focus on keeping the floor and her tables happy. We only got our first drinks and then she never came back around. She can't cook the food faster and the expo does not need people hovering over him while he works. This is blamed on the front of the house manager for not keeping the staff on the floor. In the 2 hours until my food arrived, I easily could have ordered 2 more cocktails and my wife the same. Some advice would be to do some training on expectations and learn from the wounds on that day. I am a good tipper since I know the industry but didn't feel it was warranted that day on a$300 bill

    Mothers Day reservations Arrived on time, but was told it was a 20 minute wait. Then it was another 20 minutes. We were offered alcohol (champagne) to make up for the long wait. Finally seated after45 minute wait. Once we were seated our waiter arrived to tell us that they were sorry, but it would be a two hour wait for our food once we ordered due to the Restaurant Managers mistake of over booking. While those things happen, it was very disappointing. What I find inexcusable was that in spite of having guests cell phone numbers no communication was attempted to let people know the issue before they arrived to long waits and then overall disappointment as a result of ruined Mother's Day plans for many families. No accountability expressed by the Restaurant Manager at all.

    They overbooked for Mother’s Day. I have never in my food service and customer service experience seen such a gross mismanagement of a restaurant. If you go to this Minnetonka location, Tip your waiters well, because they’re working with absolutely no managerial support whatsoever.

    Id recommend going when they are slower, today with Mother’s Day was super busy we had to wait an hour and a half for our food. When it came out is was okay most of it was pretty cold but in the time waiting our family got to just enjoy being together and talking, The ladies up front and waiter where awesome very nice and friendly, I definitely felt bad because there was a lot of people being mean to them and totally wasn’t their fault🙁 Besides that I want to come back and try again when they are aren’t so busy😎 -Karlito

    We waited for our food for more than two hours and it never showed up. We left the restaurant after being convinced they were complete lost. The table next to us got their food delivered twice. We got our appetizer delivered twice. Another table got the wrong order and I saw several customers leave without eating before we decided to do the same. I realize it was Mother' Day and the place was packed. However, I have rarely seen such a display of incompetence under any circumstances.

    Not a good Mothers Day experience. Waited 90 plus minutes for our food which was cold and mediocre - the kids’ food was fine but ours was not great for what we paid for it. Also a waitperson spilled a full glass of water on our table and us. Our server was lovely and I could tell she felt bad. She comped one of our meals thankfully. We probably won’t be back.

    We were seated at a hightop without being asked our preference (there were plenty of regular tables open that would have fit our party of 3). Tables were very squished together...if the tables on either side of us had been full, it would have been very difficult or maybe even impossible. We were there on Mother's Day and had to ask the server about the crab benedict (a special) as the ingredients didn't mention crab. The waitress didn't know about crab and had to go ask - with this being a special for the day, you'd think the servers would know details as there were only a handful of special items. Two of us got the crab benedict and one of us got the macadamia french toast. The food was mediocre - really lacked seasoning (and there was no salt and pepper on the table). One order of the crab benedict came without crab but the waitress quickly got us a side of crab for that. The french toast was underwhelming - five very small slices with a few berries, no whipped cream or syrup (there may have been syrup on it, but not enough to tell). Our server seemed new and a bit unsure of herself, but she was very kind and responsive. Handing out roses to all the female guests was a nice touch, but I don't think I'd come back again.

    Came for Mother’s Day at 1015. Was not super busy. Server was not familiar with the brunch. There was no kids menu. Food took about 40 minutes and arrived cold. First time at this location and honestly we will not come back.

    We had excellent food and even better service. Our server found out it was our son’s birthday, and she brought us out a giant piece of cake! She even thought to bring ice cream because she knew our son’s wife was gluten sensitive!

    The food is way overpriced. We ordered pot stickers for an appetizer, and we received 3 small potstickers for $18 dollars. The restaurant was empty and I had reservations and they put us in a half booth way in the corner. I will not be going back there due to the high prices.

    I asked the server about the shrimp on HH menu to see if it was the sushi roll. He said it was and what came out was not sushi. We have been to this restaurant quite often due to location and kid friendly. It seems we always have ‘new’ servers and often they don’t know what is going on.

    We normally have wonderful experiences, but this wasn’t great. The service was subpar, even though the restaurant was very slow, and the rice for the sushi was undercooked.

    Went in with my parents for Easter dinner, we asked to move seats and it became a whole debacle. We literally just wanted to move one table behind us, and in the process it felt like the coworker relationship was more important than our dining experience… calamari was incredibly salty, I had to send it back. The skewers & egg rolls were good apps. My parents enjoyed their meal but overall, the servers were all so young and it showed in their level of service. As someone who’s worked in this industry 8+ years it was clear that there’s a disconnect in training at this location.

    The food was good and I’m a picky eater so that means a lot. The food Kona Stiry Fry was waaaaay too sweet, would not recommend but everything else was good. Also, we went for Easter Brunch and they barley had any breakfast options. All in all would go back again and order wisely. The meatballs were yummy, not a lot of vegan options so keep that in mind.

    We had to wait to be seated because they were “running a little behind”. Then after we finally sat down it took over an hour for our food to come which was just French toast eggs and bacon. We had two little hungry kids with us so that was very inconvenient. And when we got it it wasn’t very good. the bacon was undercooked and the French toast was soggy. They also weren’t offering endless mimosas that were clearly advertised even on signs within the restaurant. Definitely won’t be back. First and last time!
