Kook Korean BBQ
of smokeless grills (Shinpo Systems). The restaurant is perfectly air balanced with the best ventilation system to ensure you smell the same way you came in.
We want to ensure that we please your eyes as much as your taste buds. Our interior design is themed around the ancient five core elements (Gold, wood, water, fire, earth). From our golden ring of banchan to the cherry wood bench you are sitting on, you will find this theme throughout our restaurant. Let our energy channel your inner chef to take control and cook, or simply sit back and let our BBQ experts take over.
Our dedicated team is here to serve you with one goal in mind:
“A Korean BBQ dining experience you won’t soon forget!”
First time at KooK and we were blown away. The food was amazing but what I always look for is service which was outstanding. They treated our table like we were celebrities. Hands down the best service I have ever had, even better than fine dining restaurants. I will definitely be back.
Fun to cook on BBQ. Trendy and Hip ambience, decor. High energy
Love the variety of food they have. They are very quick and efficient in their services. I appreciated the storage for jackets and bags underneath the seats. The staff are friendly too.
Celebrate my son’s birthday at the restaurant. Staff are nice and food is good. Even people waiting for the table, they still provide good service to give us time to cut the cake and not rushing us to go. Will be back!
Great place for a group
Great vibe, friendly servers, delicious food. Korean bbq is always a little pricey so it was average pricing.
Went for my brother's bday, staff were great and super friendly! thanks!
Unfortunately Kook wasn’t able to serve alcohol when I was there. However, their customer service was great and all non-alcoholic beverages were provided for free. For 5 people we ordered the 4 person bbq combo and a seafood pancake. The number of banchan and variety was impressive. The meat was fresh. We did think it wasn’t a lot of food as compared to other korean bbq places. As well the tofu soup was bland. The seafood pancake was full of imitation crab which wasn’t the most pleasant — it was edible but I could do without the imitation crab. All in all, the experience wasn’t bad. The ambience and presentation of the food was great but the flavour of the food could improve.
Great place for Korean Bbq! A little overpriced. Great for special occasions.
Although the taste is good, it is still pricy compare to other Korean bbq places.
Amazing food!! Fantastic service! Our waitress was so friendly and kind and helpful! All of our friends want to come back !
Cool little place. Not too dim. Good air flow which is important for a BBQ place.
First time ever for Korean bbq. Any other Korean bbq restaurant is going to have a hard time competing. Great food!
The staff are friendly and accommodating they serve with a smile and the service was fast. Food is great but a bit expensive for me.
Food was good and pricing was reasonable.
Comfortable seating and environment
Great place to go for authentic Korean food. Went to celebrate mum & sister's birthday and they thoroughly enjoyed it!
Loved everything about this place!! Bonus points for having an amazing ventilation system that ensures you don’t smell like your dinner after
It’s my second time to dine here and I brought my friends this time. As with the first and now together with my friends, we all had a great time and enjoyed the food so much. Excellent service, great food portions and pricing m affordable!
Recommend to the friends and let them try. Everyone has the different expectations
The place is quite busy, but many of the waiters were great. My family had issues with one of the male servers though. Upon entering the restaurant, my sister mentioned my name for the reservation many times and told the male server she didn’t know the number of people in the reservation, as she was not the one that booked the table. The male server insisted on asking. Even when my sister pointed out my full name on the reservation list he had out, he still continued to ask for the number of people. Despite having my full name, he proceeded to point out another Jessica on the reservation list (already seated). Even when my sister said that’s not the reservation, just to make sure, he approached the reserved table for the other Jessica to confirm it was them.
A bit later during dinner, my cousin asked the same server for some soju. He looked, walked away, and didn’t acknowledge my cousin. My cousin then asked him again if he had heard my cousin. He said he heard the order. So instead of responding to my cousin, he doesn’t say anything?
Everything else was great about the restaurant. Just need to train some of your staff better in dealing with patrons in a sensical manner.
Loved Kook! Will be back. It’s fast becoming our favourite go to resto for a Korean bbq dinner.
The was very good but the service was excellent
Amazing meal and great portion size would recommend to anyone who likes bbq
Thank you so much, our lunch was amazing. It’s a very unique restaurant with something special to offer guests. There are lots of special touches that make it stand out from the rest. The food was amazing and we certainly did not walk away disappointed. Will be back again for sure.
Marinated Kalbi was tender and tasty. Side dishes were mostly all good, the server asked if we need any refill. The manager was super friendly and attentive, kudos to her. The servers should learn from her and be more attentive not just when it’s about time to collect the money. Cold noodle and hotpot were also tasty and perfect. Joomulluk wasn’t so good though, same taste as what I get from costco and grill at home. I liked the atmosphere and the plates they use, felt like I was in Korea. The clientele there is mostly non-korean but they should still hire Korean speaking servers for more authentic vibe and better serving of korean meal. The food was almost as good as or similar to Arisu in coquitlam or those that you can find in Korea town in LA. I will be back if I’m in the area.
Excellent food and service, would recommend. Planning on going back soon!!
Food was not great and very expensive. Tiny portions. Would definitely not return
Had a party of 6 people. Side dishes were good and food was good. It’s a little pricy but quality is good
My 2nd time here. Last time the servers came around and grilled cut out meat at the table. Surprising. We didn’t have to do much. This time they did nothing. We did everything. Maybe when they 1st opened they had better service. Not to say service was bad. It wasn’t. You def don’t leave smelling like your food. Wasn’t Smokey at all!
Delicious! Servers will periodically change the grill for you.
We had a Opentable cheque which we were going to use for our dinner, but Kook refused our Opentable cheque
Horrible customer service, was told they were too busy to serve us while we were eating and wanted more side dishes. Meat tasted old and too chewy, everything was horrible and will tell all my friends to not go
Great food ... My family loved it!!! Thank you for the excellent service.
Made a last minute reservation, not only did they squeeze us in, but they treated us great. Food was delish as well!
Food was fast and amazing
Will soon return! Had a great first experience at Kook!!
Had a great time. Food was great. Nice to have a Korean restaurant in my hood.
So good! Service was a little chaotic but they worked really hard and were very pleasant.
We were there when the restaurant was just opened so no one’s there but got filled up pretty quickly. The staff were nice and accommodating and checked occasionally asking if everything’s okay. We ordered the BBQ and another dish which turned out to be the same but just DIY versus chef cooking. The chef came out and explained to us and recommended the spicy rice cake with cheese which was really good. Also, Lots of side dishes but only few of them were authentic Korean ones so might be good have all Koreans.
Great food, service, accompanied with my closest friends. Highly recommend
