Kosoo Modern Korean Kitchen
We came here for an early Valentine's dinner. The concept of their menu attracted us as my wife loves Korean food and I'm a classically trained French cook. We opted for the Table d'hôte $25 menu and was not disappointed. All the items were well thought out and tasted unique. We decided to add the Truffle to the Japchae and boy did that taste delicious. Tucked away lies this gem off Robson street. If you're looking for something a little different yet still true to its roots, give Kosoo a try. You won't be disapointed. Reservations highly recommended.
I really enjoy going to Kosoo for their set course menus for lunch or dinner. You get so much for a really good value. Whenever I have someone come visit the city I take advantage and bring them to Kosoo.
Excellent, the food is amazing in the cozy atmosphere
We were there for a Christmas Eve meal (lunch). At $15/person for a tasting menu that had a wide variety of food, the value cannot be beat - especially in downtown.
The place was pretty full and service was slow at times. I saw a lot of people looking around to see if other people were receiving their food. Christmas music was so loud to a point that it was almost impossible to hear each other.
But at the end of the day, I feel that you get much more than what you pay for. I would come back. :)
I love love love the food here and have taken many friends to experience great service and high quality Korean cuisine. My one criticism is it is VERY noisy. It seems to have very noisy patrons, especially if they are in larger groups. The last time I took my friends here I had to put in ear plugs the large party of diners next door were SO loud. That was off putting.
Had a great lunch there during weekdays, both service and food are excellent! Very thoughtful menu with dynamic flavors! A set menu comes with countless courses and all very delicious! Definitely will visit again for dinner!
Korean food with a western twist. The cheese chicken galbi is very delicious but is too much for 2 people.
My wife and I went here for an anniversary meal. We've been lucky enough to visit Seoul so expected some fairly hot food - credit to the staff for gently hinting we may not be ready for it as it caught us out first time round! The food (a spin on dak galbi) was absolutely delicious and the service was great, just as we'd hoped for. Highly recommended.
Food wise was ok. It's fusion Korean, so don't expect any traditional Korean food. Everything I had contains a lot of butter and cheese. I think it's just myself (not a cheese lover), my friends enjoyed them a lot.
Food was very flavorable and help outstanding. The atmosphere was light and friendly. The wait staff did a great job explaining the menu.
Generally food was ok, but the cheese pork rib dish got burned and the cheese all pasted at the bottom of the pot in a few minutes…
Service is not as good...We mentioned it was a birthday dinner when we make the reservation but wasn’t allowed to have the cake in the restaurant when we get there, no birthday dessert and candles or anything...and we went to Starbucks for the bday cake lol.
