    We were quickly greeted and seated for our reservation. The server was super friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The food was phenomenal. I had the classic wienerschnitzel and my wife had the jager schnitzel. We also got the imported cheese pie as a starter. Everything tasted great. The decor was lovely and the overall feel of Kurt's is definitely Bavarian. An excellent experience and we will definitely be coming back!

    What an awesome surprise- came here on a whim with the wife and it was probably one of the best meals we’ve had in the last 5 years. Great service, delicious food, cozy ambiance and it was an incredible value. Will 100% repeat.

    We had a delicious dinner,our server Sara was so sweet, there was a bit of a problem with noise and she moved us to a quieter area. She had wonderful recommendations (my husband enjoyed the seafood and barley and I had veal wienerschnitzel,both delicious). We finished with Branham’s delightful brown butter maple pecan brownie! A perfect evening!

    The cocktails to start! Delightfully curated with a huge bubble served on top filled with smoke, so fun and delicious. The ambiance is top notch, felt like I was in a Greenwich Village NYC neighborhood enclave bar/restaurant - walking into the best kept secret in town. The cheese pie😋, and the fish, with mouthwatering sauce. And the sauerkraut, best I’ve ever had, and I’m German. Kurt’s is a local gem with friendly well paced service and not loud, so appreciate that! We will be back!

    We tried new dishes that were created just for this week by the chefs. The salad was wonderful with apples, nuts, and cheese. The other appetizer we tried was called “cheese pie”. OMG we can’t say enough. For my entree I had barley in a tomato sauce with a nice variety of seafood. My husband tried the shrimp and grits. I would rate the shrimp and grits a tad higher but just a tad. I had a dirty martini that was perfect with tiny ice shavings. We are never disappointed at Kurt’s. Heading back for my December birthday.

    An excellent meal at Kurt’s, as always. A pleasure to introduce new people to the delights of delectable foods and a creative cocktail. Service was very good. The restaurant was very busy for a Tuesday, so it appears they’re certainly enjoying the benefits of a well earned reputation. We went for classic German fare and were very well pleased. Thank you!

    Wonderful atmosphere, food, and service. My wife's family background is German, and she loves the authentic German dishes. The table side prepared bananas foster is a MUST have.

    The staff was very helpful in selecting our beverages and also describing the different plates and side dishes. The only mix up was bringing the wrong wine and that was corrected immediately. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food. The wait staff was excellent including the hostess.

    I had the Salmon. It came with sauerkraut and I was very apprehensive about that. It was absolutely delicious. Never had a bad meal at Kurt’s and the service is first rate. Just can’t say enough about the food, service and you just feel right at home.

    We found this hidden gem in the last year. The food is delicious. Love the huge pretzel appetizer. The beer cheese dip is extra, but so worth it. Salads are great. Many delicious main course meals. Chicken schnitzel is a favorite of ours, as well as any of the fish dishes. Very accommodating to dietary restrictions. Nice choice of wines by the glass. Mixed drinks very good. Prices are very reasonable for this area. We will be going here often. Five stars.

    Having just returned from my multi week vacation throughout Germany, I must say the food at this restaurant surpassed all German restaurants we experienced. Service, atmosphere, menu, options, and food quality was amazing! My only frustration is we did not find this place earlier! We will definitely be back!

    The Oktoberfest Menu variety was terrific, both food and Bier choices. The Service was outstanding, in every way and to have Kurt do the tableside prep of the Bananas Foster was a delight. We had not enjoyed this venue in many years, but will certainly NOT let that much time pass again, before we revisit. Thanks to Kurt and much of his Family that continue the German Legacy of Great Food and Drink. Cheers, Dan

    We have dined at Kurt’s since 1990 and it continues to be our favorite fine dining restaurant. We celebrate many different occasions at Kurt’s - birthdays, wedding anniversaries, out of town visitors/guests, etc. We always know what to expect, excellent food, superb service, and a warm and inviting atmosphere.     My family used to visit Kurt’s/Vreny’s about once a month when it was on its formers River Green campus 20-30 years ago. This was my first visit to the “new” location, and it was so good to see that it’s still thriving. We’ll be returning more often!

    I’ve had better. Our jagerschnitzle was burnt which was disappointing. Bread arrived half was through the meal. Only having water, our glasses weren’t filled. Disappointing.

    The server was very attentive. The chef was accommodating when asked to enhance the schnitzel in a Holstein style - with fried egg and anchovies. Main dish arrived too soon giving us the feeling of being rushed. The promised Oktoberfest vibe was limited to an outdoor tent and did not impact the main dining room until the accordian arrived at 8 p. By then the noise level was such that it was not possible to have a conversation. Overall - the food tasted great but the restaurant did not deliver on the Oktoberfest promised.
