Kutir is their first solo project. It takes inspiration from the stories of India’s wildlife and countryside, drawing influence from their early careers working in luxury properties nestled away in India’s forestry.

    We had much better expectations: we asked for mild chicken tikka masala and it was soo spicy we could hardly eat it spinaches as side orders were uneatable lady very nice serving but was unable to help on the menu, the main owner was around but not at all attentive to us we exited with such a huge and heavy belly not for the quantity of food but the spicy amount we had eaten dont think they will see us again

    It is a while since I have been, but I was disappointed at the decline in the standards at the restaurant. Service was off-hand and not helpful (I expect waitstaff at a restaurant of this standard to provide guidance on quantities rather than suggesting additional items that resulted in over-ordering and unfinished food), and the quality of the cooking seemed to have declined over the past 12 months. All-in-all, I don’t think the restaurant is trying any more.

    I was very keen to taste chef Ghai’s food again, as I last enjoyed his sumptuous food in the Summer of 2019 at Jamavar. I should say that my disappointment at Kutir was down to the fact that the Kutir menu bears no resemblance to the 2019 Jamavar menu - which excelled in grilled and tandoor meats. Every meat and seafood had the best texture ever. So as Kutir is a totally different menu, I felt disappointed. The food at Kutir is high end Indian, but just too fancy for me. Anyone thinking of visiting a high end Indian restaurant should definitely visit Kutir - just don’t compare it to Jamavar where Chef Ghai previously excelled. If Chef Ghai were to open a restaurant which leaned more towards grilled & tandoor meats and seafood - I would visit monthly.

    Starters were good. Main course nothing special considering the prices. Table dreadful as we were seated next door to the door onto the terrace and we got a blast of cold air every minute as servers opened and closed the door. Totally wrecked the meal and won’t be going back.

    We had been to this restaurant when we in London last year and just went back to it on November 4. The service was very sharp and the food quality is excellent. We shared the prawns and lamb chop entree dishes then had the chicken for main with the various sauces and bread and rice.

    The Hunters tasting menu started off very well. The crust of the rabbit pie was hard and the quantity of venison curry was too little. Otherwise the food was outstanding So was the service. The Upstair staircase was a bit difficult and a lift installed would do wonders. The whole experience was terrific and memorable and good value for money.

    Incredible dining experience from start to finish. We were greeted warmly, given recommendations on what to eat, and enjoyed everything we had. Favorites included: the tandoor salmon, tandoor paneer, black lentils, and the main duck course. Lovely drinks and dessert. The environment was wonderfully intimate too! Thanks for a special evening.

    Really fantastic, gourmet Indian experience. We had the three course tasting menu for lunch. Each course's flavor was multi-layered, subtle and just delicious. All four of us were wowed. It was a great value. The service was also spot-on and the surroundings beautiful. We will certainly make a habit of this restaurant when in London & so should you.

    Excellent food and service. We went for a celebratory dinner and we had the paneer appetizer, two orders of the chicken Tikka, rice and bread basket. Everything was amazing. They so had a good wine list! This is my second time at the restaurant, I came back because not only the food, but the service and place are amazing!

    This should have been better. I had one of the tasting menu. Many of the dishes were spiced very similarly. There was little subtly. None of the dishes stood out. Disappointing.
