Kyo Bar Japonais
Very nice ambiance. The food was excellent. Truly a great dining experience.
Tasty guioza and sushis, takoyaki was ok.
Awesome tasting menu
We enjoyed the food and the personalized service. Thank you for catering to Celiacs.
Horrible service! It took us an hour to get 2 chicken skewers... we were starving the whole time. The sushi was mediocre at best. Very disappointing and not worth the expensive prices.
One of our friends hurt his back so he didn’t come with us. We feel really sorry for him cuz he just missed a great meal. The black cod is the most popular dish, which tastes delicious with the special sauce. The chef’s sashimi is fresh. I will recommend KYO to all of my friends.
Our first time to Kyo. We were in Montreal for the Jazz festival. This was a good location in Old Montreal to stop for dinner after a night of listening to jazz. Cozy, romantic atmosphere. Servers were very attentive and explained the menu. Loved the tapas style concept. We chose 5 items. One was better than the next. Also had a nice wine selection to choose from. This is a must do when visiting Montreal.
Food ok, ordinary. Told server we needed to go to a show, gave him plenty of time & notice , he did not respect us.
Another server came by & got us our food & were able to be on time.
The service was outstanding! Food and drinks were phenomenal! I would certainly go back next time I visit Montreal.
A very lively spot with a menu with a lot of variety.
Sushi was average , noodles were good. Service was a bit slow. Not our best experience..
Great assortment of Asian foods. Always reliable. Good bar.
Service was disappointing. Food was ok. We had to wave the waitstaff to fill up our waters. The edamame was overcooked (soggy) and oversalted. The sashimi salad had excellent quality fish. However, the kitchen forgot to add the dressing. It took too long to find any waitstaff, and we waited so long for the food to arrive.
very good food, great value for money
The food is alright. Fish was really fresh but the value for money was really low. The bill for 2 came to $150 and I wasn’t full by the time I left. The atmosphere and the store design is fantastic
Dans l’Ensemble, une belle expérience. Personnel courtois, rapide et disponible. Bon menu.
Llegamos tarde ! Cenamos muy rico .
Había poca gente . Buen servicio .
This is my go to sushi restaurant in the Old Port. Chef will go off the menu for me at least when the request is manageable. Their bibimbap is a meal by its self and delicious.
One of the best restaurants in Old Montreal! The service was great; our server explained the different methods of ordering (we went with the chef selection for sushi) and was very attentive. The food was absolutely delicious and was unique to other Japanese restaurants. 10/10!
We loved the food, atmosphere and service! If you like Japanese food, you won’t be disappointed.
Mushrooms were delicious ! Sashimi was fresh and very good .
Tuna Tataki was one of the best we have tried . Would definitely go back when visiting Montreal .
Great service, ambiance was lively and party like, great location, just a solid place to get some sushi.
The food was UNBELIEVABLE. Very very good. Almost with the cost...but still very expensive.
Fresh, tasty and noisy as hell, this is a terrific place for small plates and mocktails. Glad we went!
Incroyable
What made us happy was the variety on their menu.
Lots of items for everyone.
The server was very informed n gave us great advice.
We were a group of 8 n sort of accommodating everyone’s preferences was a challenge.
But it went well.
We left happy n satisfied.
Sushi, Bibimbap, Spicy Edamame, Agedashi Tofu, tempura were all tasty
Fabulous tasting menus with a 4 shot Sake tasty tray. Just a great place to have dinner
Nice vibe to the place, food pretty good. Down side: our server was useless in terms of suggestions. When faced with dozens of japanese sake names, how does one pick? Was no help to select sushi as well. But the rest of the staff was quite friendly.
Awesome!! Best Japanese ever
Kyo bar is an excellent restaurant. Staff is very friendly, and the deco is gorgeous.
Servers changed 4 times during the course of the evening... lag in time of service to the table.
Can not say enough about how good this restaurant was. The food is top notch, service was great, ambiance was nice. Has a trendy and traditional feel at the same time. Bryan was our server and was friendly and very helpful with recommendations from the menu. We dined here 2 years ago and definitely wanted to return. It did not disappoint - was at least as awesome as our last visit if not more. Ordering several small bites is the way to go. We sampled the rainbow sushi roll, edamame, chicken wings, shrimp, pork dumplings, and black cod. All fantastic and unique dishes. Every time we have been here the place is bustling. Reservations are a good idea. Would dine here once a week if we could.
Good service and good food
Noisy. Value is ok for the area
Très bon repas. Belle ambiance. Bon service. Nous avons tous apprécié et y retournerons.
