First time dining at La Barra but it won't be the last. The food was very good and the waitstaff was cordial and efficient. The ambience inside and outside was also very nice. My wife and I felt the pricing was fair.

Loved the place. Great food, drinks and service. Only downside to this location is they don't have a parking lot. Will definitely go back.

Members of my party, including myself, have dined at the Oakbrook location and have always had good service, food and ambience. The food at the Riverside location was poor quality. We ordered grilled octopus and received approximately 6 small bites and more potatoes than octopus. We ordered three other appetizers and those were somewhat better than the octopus, but still expensive for the amount we were served. As far as the main course is concerned, I ordered the lasagna and it was served COLD in the middle, which tells me that it was prepared in advance and refrigerated until it was ordered. I realize that this can happen, but I have dined at MANY Italian eateries and have never been served COLD lasagna. I will never recommend your restaurant to any of my friends, nor will I dine in your establishment again.

Nice dinner with family. Tried the Nduja pizza for the first time and it was delicious. This will be one of favorites to eat for future visits. Live music group was very good and that is why we like to go on Thursday’s to La Barra, always has great music choices.

Had the most lovely dinner on the LaBarra patio tonight. It is a comfortable spot to have a couple drinks and a pizza and watch the town go by! We had the cupping pepperoni pizza and the chopped salad which were both delicious, as well as a few aperol spritzes. Great waitstaff and there was also a really fun live band. 5 stars!

First time to riverside. Have only been to oakbrook lication. Food was good but not great. Our server was very nice but was a bit over zealous which made us feel rushed , although think it was in intentional.

Food was really good. Service was slow. And she said the kitchen was behind but the room was 65% full so not sure how that happens. If you go, you'll enjoy the meal but plan to spend more time than expected.

Thin crust pizza was overdone as often happens, even when you ask not to. We had to ask multiple people to please send our waiter over to take our order. Our waiter Michael was good. He checked back to ask if we wanted more drinks, which we did. The vegetarian deep dish pizza with basil was very good. It's a fun place to eat. Next time I probably will skip the thin crust pizza and only order deep dish.

Father’s Day dinner. Got 5 appetizers (calamari, octopus, burrata, garlic knots and salad). Fun to try a bit of everything. Dinner consisted of two deep dish, one thin, a Ceaser salad and lemon chicken. All were full but made room for chocolate and coconut cake.

The service was a little slow tonight but in there defense, they were handling large groups coming from a graduation that was happening down the block. Although food was slow coming out, it did not disappoint. We still consider it one of the best restaurants in the area.

I sat outside and it was lovely. I had a beautiful view of the famous Riverside water tower and the charming train depot. ordered a Casa Bara Margarita and it was perfect - smooth and refreshing. I had the whitefish for lunch, and the lemon caper sauce was also perfect. It was a healthy portion of fish, seasoned well, with fresh green beans. The service was top notch. It was a real treat on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Highly recommend!

A great place for authentic Italian food. The eggplant parmesan and chicken parmesan are superb. A chopped salad can easily be split between two and the roasted beets and Brussels sprouts make great appetizers.
