Great French restaurant where the oval room used to be. Excellent food and service. Very creative, rich French food. I enjoyed every bite! Also good French wines by the glass.

The most wonderful dinner for my birthday Started with a manhattan, octopus for appetizer, duck for entree, glass of Pinot noir, decafe cappuccino, a peach soufflé, and Free birthday chocolate soufflé dessert. Sat outside on a glorious night. Our waiter Devin F. was the most polished professional I’ve encountered in the food industry.

Superb experience. Food was delicious. Service was impeccable and attentive. We were not rushed in the least and it was absolutely wonderful. Definitely returning.

We had a lovely dinner at la Bise. We both started with the tomato vichyssoise, and had the stuffed chicken as our main course. Both were excellent, though the soup was really outstanding. We shared a pavlova for dessert, which was plenty for two.

What a consistently fine restaurant! The food was wonderful and inventive, the service was lovely and the staff couldn’t be nicer (and kinder) to a couple of (fairly) old diners like us! Every meal I’ve had at La Bise has been excellent.

From first to last moments at La Bise, our dinner was splendid. The evening air was chilled but we chose to dine outside on the patio. The hostess had been informative when I called about outdoor dining. Sweaters were important! Hamachi tuna, beautifully decorated with tiny violets and radish slivers, covered with a delicious sauce, was a treat. The duck was succulent. A dessert of pavlova melted in our mouths. A wine choice of a California merlot was a good one. Perfect place for a birthday celebration!

Delicious dinner during Restaurant Week. Fantastic service by both hostess and server. Highly recommend for a special night out. Only down side (and not restaurant's fault) was intoxicated diners nearby in shorts and T-shirts.

We love this place. We tried La Bise for their Thanksgiving menu several years ago, and now, it's one of our favorite French restaurants in DC. I particularly like their steak tartare and steak frites.

Our first experience at La Bise was during restaurant week. The cuisine is exceptional and the service attentive without being intrusive (thank you Joanna). We plan to return to try the regular menu.
