Very good food and restaurant. Music being played was maybe not the best choice. - it was hip hop
Service was terrible. We waited 50 minutes for food.
Such a great spot for dinner :). I was blown away by the great flavours in the carne asada tacos. Definelty will be coming back to this food joint! #impressed
Was hoping for a birthday mention/celebration. None was mentioned after submitting reservation.
Great Atmosphere! Amazing food!!!
They should really work on the menu and focus on service
I made a reservation for 9:30, we weren’t seated until 9:45. The server was rude and we had to wait consistently for anyone to come by and help us. The food was also cold. I wouldn’t recommend.
We had an issue with some food. It never arrived and we had to follow up twice. Also my mango salad was green and very sour. Our server was awesome and helpful.
Overall, above average experience. Staff and servers are friendly. Split our Sangria pitcher a but while pouring and without hesitation offered to provide an additional glass of sangria.
Food Review: Guac is good. Nothing special, but the chips are unique and tasty. Cod taco is on point: delicious. Pulled pork could be better as well as the fried chicken. Stick to the cod.
Went for a quick bite before the theatre, food was quick and fresh, not to mention delicious! Great vegetarian options and delicious cocktails.
The whole experience was average. The food was ok, the drinks were nothing special and it was very noisy. The service was friendly but rushed and confused.
Not my kind of place.
Fun atmosphere, loud and energetic. Great food. Fun for groups
Food was outstanding. Reasonably priced. Service could have been better.
The taste is not good enough. I’ve tried their popular food but I dont want to recommend them to any of my friends.
The food here is OUTSTANDING! Super fresh, very very flavourful! There were three of us and I didn’t like that all of our tacos came on one tray (we didn’t know which was which) but when we figured it out it didn’t matter! It was sooooo delicious!
I also found it quite loud (hard to have a conversation) and quite dark. It was daylight when we went and I had to turn towards the window to be able to read my menu. Lol! But none of this mattered after eating the food. It was really really great! I’m already going back next week!
Very loud music and very dark - could hardly see the menu or my plate of food!
Terribly crowded with servers and patrons pushing past you while you eat, dark and loud, food was salty and cold. Servers were absent and not pleasant. Will never return.
Our server was really friendly, upbeat and helpful. Tacos and guac are good. They even made some (minor) mistakes to our tacos and the way they dealt with it was great. Good go-to spot in this Downtown neighborhood.
Music is typically extremely loud, hard to hear talking, since this is a restaurant I would suggest rethinking the volume, ( is an issue at both John and College). Both times we cut our visit short to have dessert and drinks at another place due to volume. I would choose a different restaurant just based on this .
Went pre-TIFF on the recommendations of family. First let me say that the food is fantastic. But the music is extremely loud to the point that my chair was shaking and could barely have a conversation without yelling at one another. Clearly meant for a much younger crowd but at 5!! pm perhaps they could have toned it down a bit. The server could have suggested or even encouraged us to get more food as we did ask. A salad and one tostado per person was light especially when they completely forgot our oder of chips with 3 dips. Would love to go back just for the yum cali salad but until they cater to all age groups think will pass.
Ottima cucina messicana interpretata in maniera dello Zeitgeist. Buona lista delle birre artigianali e cocktail a base di Tecquilla.
Good food and the 3-course lunch special was great value.
The service was very slow however considering the restaurant did not see very busy - 35 minutes for some chips and tacos was a bit long and we did not expect a working lunch to be an hour and a half long.
Great food, great atmosphere, great people.
Do yourself a favor.
Seriously amazing food, & reasonably priced. The atmosphere was great - nice and relaxed with plenty of space between tables. Wonderful service from everyone we dealt with. Highly recommend.
40 minutess to get drinks, longer for food, but they comp'ed the entire bill. Would try again
Nice Tapas Mexican food with some great vegetarian options... Service was just OK... one had to remind a couple of times on the orders placed...
Table wasn’t ready for 20 minutes even though we had reservation. Food took forever. Waiter basically ignored us.
Great location and food . We loved the variety of options it had
The bean dip was stone cold and had no flavour.
The taco/tortilla shells were stone cold.
The guac had no flavour (onion, salt, lime would have helped!)
Good fun food- originally a food truck o it's finger-licking and colorful platings.
They didn’t have my open table reservation listed. Thank god they had a table available. Also did not have the birthday cake I had requested by phone the morning of. They gave me 4 churros with 1 birthday candle instead and charged me full price.
The service was very slow. Food was brought out in a staggered way. My date got his food 20 minutes before I did, and all I ordered was a salad.. no cooked food. The tacos my date had were tiny and not filling at all and not worth 10 dollars each. My salad was tasty. And I did love the guac and chips. They were amazing.
The food was great. The fish tacos and carne asads tacos were great. The wait staff were great. The door staff should be fired, they had zero customer service skills. Also, I made a reservation. Please don’t call me to confirm and threaten to take my spot because I didn’t reply back. Defeats the point of making a reservation.
Awesome good and service! Lovely flat rate lunch menu option.
Overall my experience was great, but I wished the wait staff would have checked up on our table once in awhile
Very energetic (loud) dining experience with small tacos imdividually priced. We were waited on by a half dozen servers (no consistency). Felt like we were dining in a club - certainly fine for some but just not our thing.
The food was not all that great and very pricey.
Way to loud - service was slow
The food was incredible, and would have given 5 stars if not for the service. The server did not return to check on us after food was delivered and our drinks sat empty for long periods of time. He only returned to ask us if we wanted another beer once. In truth, if he had kept coming, our bills would have been much higher.
The food was great and exactly what we were looking for but service was lacking. Drinks were ordered initially and only 2 of the 3 drinks ordered arrived. Appetizers were ordered as well as main courses but all of the items arrived at once meaning the guac and chips were eatin while the mains were cooling off. Food arrived before the missing drink arrived. Server wasn't overly helpful when asked what was recommended and overall it just felt like we were rushed in and rushed out. If you want good tacos and don't care about the experience....this is your spot.
