This charming and intimate restaurant serves a generous and creative fresh market cuisine, cheerfully prepared by chef-owners Marc De Canck and Olivier de Montigny. We had the tasting menu and it was really great! I found the service was amazing and the music was loud enough to enjoy but still have a great conversation with out yelling across the table. 😂 Would highly recommend the experience and don’t forget to ask for the wine accompaniment.

Outstanding French cuisine! We read an article describing la Chronique as a classic French restaurant, but it was actually quite modern and creative. The dishes were dilicious and beautifully presented. We had the five-courae menu with wine tasting, and the pairing wines were complementing the dishes as well. Definitely recommend.

J’avais de grandes attentes et même si la quantité était généreuse, les plats bien présentés, je suis restée sur ma faim quant au service à l’arrivée et lors de la commande. Les assiettes étaient bonnes mais pas époustouflantes. L’accord mets-vin ne m’a pas emballée ou surprise. Dommage. 200$ par personne avec l’alcool c’est le prix de grands restos, mais cette fois-ci, je suis plutôt neutre vs éblouie.

Un très beau restaurant parfait pour passer un moment romantique. Le menu était savoureux. Nous nous sommes régalés ! Et le service était très bien. Nous sommes très contents d'avoir découvert ce restaurant grâce à l'événement MTL à table.

L’entrée de gravlax à la truite était excellente. Le risotto était ordinaire. Le service était aussi très ordinaire. Celui qui expliquait les plats se trompait, bafouillait. Notre serveur a gardé notre bouteille de vin sur sa table de service. Et à la fin du repas il est venu remplir nos verres avec le vin qui était en accord avec le plat de service. Il nous a offert un autre verre , mais cette erreur aurait dû être mieux compensée. Le dessert n’était pas à la hauteur d’un grand restaurant. Pour un repas à 400$, disons que nous étions très déçus . Jamais que nous y retournerons!

Chef and waitstaff very personable. Explained every dish and the reason for the wine choices. Exquisitely presented and every flavor complemented the overall dining experience. Highly recommend. Only 8 tables so book in advance. Order the set menu for full experience.

Always a great dining experience at La Chronique. The food is excellent, served at the table by the chef himself. The service is attentive and professional. If you love great food, you must have eaten at least once at La Chronique.

Sauf pour le foie gras qui était bon, le poisson n'était pas à la hauteur - fraîcheur, sauce et accompagnement décevants. Quant au service fait sans aucun sourire, nos verres ont été laissés vides à 2 ou 3 reprises sans possibilité de les remplir car la bouteille disparaissait à la cuisine entre les services. Une soirée à oublier.

A rare place where everything is just perfect, from the amuse-bouche to dessert. Food quality and presentation are outstanding, the latter almost artistic. The wine pairing is highly recommended, as the sommelier really knew her métier.

Quel restaurant extraordinaire!! À la hauteur de sa réputation.
