Unfortunately my entire family was sick the next morning after dining here. I tried to reach the restaurant manager t inform her, however, she was not available. They asked that I call back. I tried several times, but wasn’t able to reach anyone. I think the restaurant has changed for the worse. I cannot recommend it at this time.

The food at this restaurant FAR exceeded expectations. The carne asada was cooked perfectly, the mole sauce was authentic and delicious, and the tex-mex accompaniments were spot-on. The service was fine too. The waiter could have come by more often after the food was served to refill drinks, etc, but he was nice and responsive whenever we called him over. Overall -- excellent experience. I would absolutely return and/or recommend to others. Great food!

Made reservations so I would not have to wait. Had to get on wait list when I arrived anyway. I would have waited at a restaurant closer to my house. I drove across town because I was able to book the reservation. It was not honored. I don’t see the use in making a reservation.

We’ve had this server before and she’s always incredibly rude. She must be related to the owner because no one in the service industry would keep a job treating customers like she does. First of all, it wasn’t the least bit busy for a Saturday night and she rushed us to order our meals the same time we ordered margaritas. She barked at my boyfriend twice in what meat he wanted in his burrito and I had to read him his choices since she wouldn’t and he was flustered by her behavior. She made snide comments about what we ordered, saying “Wow, you must be really hungry!” then commenting later about how much we ate. She immediately gave us the bill and I said we were planning on ordering more drinks. She was visibly annoyed and huffed about having to change the bill. It’s her fault for not asking if we wanted anything else. This has been the case every time we’ve had her as our server and has made us not want to return. La Costa used to be one of our favorite places and was always busy. I’m thinking others have had the same experience and have chosen to take their business elsewhere since it’s no longer busy it seems. People like this server should NOT be in the “service industry”. I highly doubt I’ll be back anytime soon. She ruined my mom’s birthday dinner.

The menu offers a large variety of dishes and hard to select. Enjoyed a margarita while deciding. Their salsa is one if the best...also munched on chips while deciding.

Service was slow and hard to grab the waitress when needed. No refills, had to ask for everything more than once. Food was not good, cold and bland. The chips, salsa and beans were the best part.

I would give a great review until the end. I ordered a soda, never got a refill at dinner. I asked waitress for a soda to go. She looked at me weird, then came back with a kiddy cup and not even the soda I was drinking. You pay $4 for a soda, since I didn’t refill at dinner I didn’t think a big deal to ask for one to go. Many restaurants will do this but not in a kiddy cup! Felt disrespected for asking for it😞.

It was all fine except our server was very rude. He was very slow about taking drink orders and then when we got our food never came back to check on us. We had to get up and go get our checks from him.

We had a large group for a birthday dinner and La Costa allowed us to make a reservation and were ready for us. Food came out in waves, which is somewhat expected with a larger group. Everyone enjoyed their meals. It was our first visit but not our last!

Outdoor tent sitting was great. Our server greeted us, but did not check us in for our Open Table reservations(hopefully, we have no problem getting our points). We ordered shredded chicken burrito, small beef taco, Chile verde, rice and beans....Sorry to say the food was very bland, no taste at all. Disappointing, as we really wanted to like this place.
