Bonjour! La Fable Brasserie, located on the beach block of Rehoboth's iconic Baltimore Avenue, offers traditional French cuisine with a bohemian Parisian street cafe flair. Whether you choose to join "Fable" for an early meal or cocktail during Leve-Tot, for an intimate dinner with friends, or to enjoy a late night rendezvous at our "piano" bar, we hope for each guest to create their own dining story. We look forward to seeing you. Merci Beaucoup!

Second visit, initially came shortly after opening and was disappointed. Thought we would give it a second chance and I am glad that we did. Had a very pleasant evening: the food was very good, service was excellent. Would like to see a few more classic French bistro items on the menu. Glad to have a place that fills the French food void in RB.

This was our first time here and will not be the last. The steak tartare was amazing, and we both had the duck entree which was phenomenal. The ambiance is cozy. We knew we were the last ones to leave but we were not rushed. Can't wait to come back!

Everything about La Fable was wonderful! My wife and I went for our Anniversary. I have not stopped praising La Fable since exiting the building. The service was excellent, food amazing, the lighting and decor was cozy. Just the perfect size, not too many tables. All and all one of the best restaurants we have visited in the area.

Step inside La Fable, and it’s the closest you’ll get to France in Rehoboth Beach! The bar was very lively later at night and our waiter, Tye, was spectacular. The bread was extremely fresh and served by piece so it isn’t sitting on the table. For hors D’oeuvres, I got escargot with the La Fable Salad. The sauce on the escargot was amazing and it’s a great dipping sauce for the bread. The salad was a nice balance of creaminess, crunchiness, and a hint of bitterness. My grandson loved his cream of crab soup because it had a good portion of fresh crabmeat. For dinner, my grandson got the duck with goat cheese gnocchi, which was the best duck he ever had. It even had subtle hints of lavender in the sauce. I had the scallops, which were cooked tenderly and tasted like you were eating velvet. Dessert was marvelous. The cheese board was a great variety, especially the creaminess of the triple cream brie and the aged taste of the bleu cheese. The creme brûlée has a very thin, but crunchy layer of flambed sugar, which was excellent. The staff is friendly and professional, and the manager did a great job checking on each table. The prices may be steep, but it’s definitely worth it!

We go to Rehoboth Beach several times a year and enjoy the opportunity to eat here. On this occasion we had Darrell as our waiter. He was quite the character. Very charming and personable. He was very knowledgeable of the menu options and very attentive to our needs. The menu seems to change on each of our visits and we never are disappointed. We are looking forward to our next visit

We ate here for the second time on Christmas eve and La Fable outdid itself! The menu offered was prix fix but all choices were appealing. My husband ordered escargot and duck and I had the Caesar salad and duck. All dishes were expertly prepared and there were enough choices that it was difficult to decide on what to order. Dessert was an individual yule log for the table. The bread served is worthy of a French restaurant and I had a glass of their French table wine with dinner which was outstanding. The staff was very accommodating and had a great attitude. I have found this to be rare when restaurant staff has to work on a holiday. Overall, I can't say enough about this restaurant. We will definitely be back!

Great atmosphere, lighting perfect, appetizer of pate’ and soup was delicious! Daryl was very attentive with wine selections and choices. Later when it got crowded, his responses were a bit curt.
Food was delicious but a bit cold( 2nd time I’ve been there). I didn’t say anything.
Yule log for dessert was amazing and delicious!!

We had a lovely pre-Christmas dinner at La Fable. The food was excellent, and the service was helpful, friendly, and attentive. Afterward, we had drinks at the bar and completely enjoyed the music--the keyboard player in particular. It was a great way to spend an evening.

We have enjoyed La Fable numerous times over the past eighteen (18) months, however, this past Saturday night we invited some friends to join us for dinner at your restaurant that we have considered one of the best restaurants in the area. I’m sorry to say that the food was not up to the standards we have become accustomed to at La Fable. The trout was uncharacteristically on the dry side and the Boeuf Bourguignon was bland with the mashed potatoes being on the runny side. Certainly not what we were expecting.

We didn’t want to complain in front of our friends’ first visit, but we would have said something if we were alone. I’ve heard similar complaints lately and think the owner should be made aware. We would hate to see our favorite Rehoboth restaurant fade into mediocrity. We will be dining with our family this Christmas Eve and hope to see an improvement.

Food and service were excellent. Ambient sound level a bit high.Could be improved in that small space with adding some soft surfaces. Wait staff could keep their voices and laughter quieter as well. The piano bar is lovely but they need to find a way to encourage those enjoying the bar stools to move on, so other guests can enjoy the music as well.

My husband and I had a very romantic date at this special restaurant. The food was all delicious, from the fresh, crusty French bread to the tarts that we took home to enjoy the next day. There are so many wonderful choices on the menu that it is difficult to choose so we must return. Chef's soup of the day was warm and healthy - kale, peas, legumes, squash. The crispy trout was excellent. My husband loved the escargot appetizer. The staff is refined, professional and very helpful. We definitely felt welcomed and comfortable and look forward to repeating this experience.

The food as always was very good. In particular the beef bourgninon. Lovely French wines. Scallops were good but did not like them smothered in mushroom sauce, although the sauce itself was good. Our friends first visit and they really enjoyed it.

For appetizers, we tried cream of cauliflower/brussels sprouts soup and the escargots. The escargots were perfect and delicious. The soup was good, but too filling. The main course was the duck breast and the chicken cordon bleu. The duck was outstanding. The chicken was well-prepared, but the mustard sauce was too overpowering. I scraped most of it off and then really enjoyed the dish - perfectly crispy outside, with a wonderful combination of flavors. Dessert was a delicious pear tart. Kudos to our waiter for making it a wonderful evening!
