First in 2008, in full view from his open kitchen, co-owner Jean Baptiste Marchand has delighted diners with his attentive-to-detail cuisine. In 2018, La Fabrique has moved next door and continues to offer its comforting, unpretentious, and contemporary cuisine. Our new space will seduce you with its spacious decor, its bright bar, and its terrace facing the park.

La Fabrique was excellent. We started with very well prepared pork and duck rillettes, followed by beef tartare and grilled lamb. The grilled lamb dish was highlighted with the watermelon salad that complemented the seasoning so well. Definitely recommend for memorable meal.

Halibut was a bit dry and slightly overcooked and under seasoned, but accompanying veg were great. Braised lamb was excellent. Wine by the glass was good quality good value. Ambience was nice, apart from too many babies in the restaurant (get a sitter folks!)

Disappointing dinner and experience. Half of our oysters were bad and our mains were less than average. The food is overkilled by too many ingredients that don’t make any sense - all the mains had weird finishes and overall I don’t think the cooks / chefs know what they are doing. The braised burger has cheese, coleslaw and a random sauce. The lamb was hidden under an arugula salad and then a purée and random vegetables. Worse off was the elk plate, which was like let’s throw everything that we have in the kitchen on there - carrots, Brussels, artichokes, falafel, with chia and flax seeds with an attempt to make a Demi glace. I’m from Montreal and an ex exec chef, I don’t understand how they came up with these dishes. We also waited 30 minutes for oysters when they had 4 tables and as I noted above, half the oysters were bad. Lastly, if you don’t have fresh bread, toasting it and serving it to customers isn’t good for anyone either.

We were here for Sunday brunch. In fact, second time in the last three years of visiting Montreal, after a local friend’s recommendation. I love it. The food is very fresh, with lots of healthy options. Depending on your personal taste, there are still options with brioche bread and soft boiled eggs, for a more traditional brunch offerings, complemented by interesting purées and other culinary twists. It is not a good place for people that like plain food. La Fabrique maintains its authentic character, it is not run down by tourists and maintains very professional service. They take reservations seriously.

Toujours aussi agréable de se retrouver à La Fabrique. Menu qui est revisité tous les 3 semaines et sans oublier un personnel exceptionnel, particulièrement Axel et Marine qui sont un atout pour ce restaurant.

Stéphanie nous a offert un service impeccable. Elle était dévouée et présente pour répondre à nos questions. Nous n’avons jamais manqué de café! La nourriture était excellente et les patates déjeuner en à-côté étaient aussi délicieuses. Nous aurions aimé les avoir d’incluses dans notre assiette de brioche et de frittata, mais malgré cela, c’était délicieux. Un peu bruyant sur la terrasse, mais somme toute, une belle expérience.

The service was excellent and the food was amazing. Our family of four ordered 4 different entrees and each was excellent. It is hard to get excited about risotto at most places, but the risotto here was is worth writing about. It was packed with flavor and the vegetables were perfectly cooked.

When we walked in the woman behind the counter was on the phone. She never looked up at us or even said, "One moment." After a wait another server helped us find a seat. Our server behind the bar was outstanding. He was courteous and attentive. The food was really good.
