My main course was seafood risotto. Mainly risotto and very little seafood. Two shrimp which were good. The mussels were small dry. And. nonexistent. One or two clams also small and fishy. I think $38 for mainly rice was a bit exhorbitant. The veal scalopiny with mushrooms was much better dish to enjoy.

This is the first time that we dined at La Fenice and you can bet that we will be back. We were treated with the utmost of courtesy from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. The serving of bruschetta and fresh bread before our meal was a beautiful ,added, treat. The meals that we ordered were not only homemade, but sensational. The service is second to none. Everyone we came into contact, was professional, polite, and very welcoming. This is a must dine here restaurant.

The restaurant was cold!!! We were not impressed with service. Waiter didn’t offer parmesan cheese when brought entree. It took over 35 minutes to get lunch. Very disappointing for the price.

Great location for a classic Italian restaurant. Wonderfully curated menu, great wine list. We had the best Ceasar salad either of us had had. Our entrees were great. I asked for a dessert that I have had there in the past (zagliabone) which was off the menu, but the chef made it as a special request and it was PHENOMENAL! Whenever I am in Toronto I go to La Fenice. But, make your reservations EARLY. La Fenice books up fast.

We were seated by the server station where they hovered over us and chatted while we ate. Not ideal. My mushroom risotto was good however a bit harder than my liking. My husband’s sirloin steak however was not great he said it was fatty and he rarely complains about his meal so I knew it wasn’t good. At $52 you would think it would be good. It also came with one baby potato cut in half and a few bland vegetables. Not great overall but it was close to the theatre. Next time we go to the theatre we will book dinner weeks in advance rather than week of. Would not be back here.

We enjoy your restaurant and have always had a good time, however last night my wife’s dinner was not up to your regular standards. Her meal was one of the most expensive on your menu. She received 3 luke warm shrimps and a singular floweret of broccoli, cauliflower and 2 carrots all of which were cold and very undercooked. She did not enjoy her meal. Our friends liked their food and mine was very good. The wine was also very good, but my wife was not happy and if she hadn’t had an appetizer, she would have been hungry.

We were looking for an Italian dinner. We made a 5:30pm same day reservation We were offered complimentary bread and a delicious piece of bruschetta each. We ordered 2 pasta dishes. We loved both dishes. We finished with a crème brûlée. Our waiter Stephen was great and helped make our meal an excellent experience.

Food was not to par. This was not fine Italian cooking. Pricing for the quality was high. Risotto tasted like the rice was boiled int advanced then seasoned with seafood. The pasta was better but nothing to write home about. I came to this restaurant a few months ago and it has just gone down. Too bad as the location is great before the theater.

Excellent food and a nice place, marred by simply bizarrely poor service. Not lacking in attentiveness nor effort, but just shockingly poorly-trained for this level of restaurant. Our main server consistently struggled to open bottles of wine. Another server decided to directly dispense ground pepper onto an empty plate... and those are just the highlights. Just deeply strange.
