We had a superb dinner. The salads (Caesar and arugula /grana padano) and entrees (Agnolotti and Linguini Mixed Seafood ) were delicious and the portions were generous. We barely had room to split a raspberry sorbet for dessert. The service was pleasant and efficient.

The staff were excellent, responsive and polite. The food, while presented very nicely lacked much flavor and almost no seasoning was put on it. example - The buffalo mozzarella on tomato and the fish were both completely un seasoned and just plain. Prices were a bit high, although portions were reasonable. The Shrimp paste was 25$ but was fairly bland. The Fish was cooked well but bland and nothing special.

This was our second visit to La Fenice and it was excellent again!. Food, service and ambiance were fantastic. We loved the mushroom fettuccine, and the grilled salmon was perfect. We shared an appetizer salad and they split the portion into two plates for us, which was nice. It is a great spot to come before or after the theatre!

We were greeted at the door as soon as we walked in. Asked if we would like to sit at the table they had chosen for us very close to the window but across from the door, which ended up being no problem at all. Our evening nwent very well with the waiter and maitre’d looking after us very competently. One reason I choose the restaurant online was the decor which was very nice and the reviews of the seafood. We had grilled salmon, that came with steamed vegetables. All was cooked to perfection. We will return the next time we go to a Mirvish production.

Our experience at La Fenice was amazing. First and foremost, our waitress was so nice, so helpful with her menu description, and very attentive throughout our meal. Food was delicious, and very generous, with some complementary appetizers and fresh bread on the side. We had both soups (vegetarian and pea), they were both delicious. My wife enjoyed a huge piece of salmon and I had an entire sea bream, perfectly prepared on my plate. Table was spacious and seats very comfortable. Generous and delicious are the 2 words to describe our experience. We have already spread the word and we will come back very shortly for sure.

This was our first time at La Fenice and we were very pleasantly surprised. The food was very good and plentiful. The complimentary bruschetta at the beginning of the meal was a particularly nice touch. The service was attentive and friendly. They are obviously used to getting patrons in and out before the start of a theatre performance, so there was no last minute rush to pay the bill and get out. What we particularly appreciated was the fact that the noise level was low enough to allow for normal conversation. That's a rare thing these days, so for that reason alone I would highly recommend it.

Main problem was that the main course didn’t come for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Our waitress was very good and gave us a $20 gift certificate towards our next meal. It was full and the 4 staff (one more was added after 50 minutes). We’re run off their feet.

This is the second time I have been here and I highly recommend it. It is difficult to find a place near Roy Thomson Hall. The ones across the road are more pub type of restaurants, and La Fenice is really much higher class.

Our server Danielle and the SAs were all fantastic. Credit card terminals went down with just one backup online and they did their very best in handling the chaos as nearly the entire restaurant had to leave to catch their show. Good food and good wine by the bottle prices.

Julia, our server was new and advised us of this, which we appreciated. She did her best, but the two other female servers were very rude to her. They actually were chastising her in front of guests. We heard them making rude comments to her. When we asked Julia for our bill, as we had tickets to a play, we were made to wait for almost 30 minutes, as the two servers were dealing with their tables and would not allow her to use the machine to cash us out. We saw she was embarrassed and flustered at the way she was being treated. I finally voiced my frustration and annoyance at this totally unprofessional lack of respect not only for Julia, but us as well. That total lack of respect and unprofessionalism in this industry is not acceptable. I speak from experience, as I have been in this industry for over thirty years. I would gladly return, but will not, unless attitudes, or the wait staff change. Thank you Julia for trying and doing your best. My daughter and I appreciated it.
