   Really excellent experience. Started off with French onion soup and a couple of cocktails (Avion Sour and Carte Blanche). Soup was very good and cocktails were great, just didn’t pair well together. Enjoyed the beef bourguignon and burger for entrees and they were both excellent as well. Highlight of the meal was the excellent service from our waiter Namik and his assistant Alejandro. Very attentive staff and they did a nice job of recognizing our anniversary as well. Highly recommended. Only downside is that it wasn’t super well marked from 53rd so we walked past it thinking, “What a cool looking restaurant. Wish we were eating there.” Turns out we were. Probably more attributable to being a tourist than any deficiency on the part of the restaurant.

   We had a really nice meal here recently. Beautiful restaurant and the food was very good. From the drinks through dessert everything was delicious. We ordered from the pre-theater menu and thought that , for NYC, it was a very good value. The service was also friendly and professional. Will DEFINITELY come back soon.

    No bread or croissants at breakfast? Couldn’t order anything from the sandwich section of the breakfast menu. Omelette…bland, not enough salt, a bit overcooked. And, should serve some salad along with the potatoes.

    Food was excellent.Service was a bit rushed.Next time I eat there I will mention to them not to be in so much of a hurry. Dining rooms are the largest I have seen in Manhattan. Wonderful roast chicken!

    We went for Brunch, and were more than satisfied with everything. The ambiance, the service, and the FOOD were all excellent. Our server was even gracious enough to give us a few small tokens of appreciation for dining there for the first time. Definitely going back (probably for dinner this time). 5 Stars!

    The food was mediocre at best. My omelette was dry despite it being a cheese and mushroom omelette. The mushrooms were hardly cooked and rubbery. The bread was good, and the wine was good service was very attentive.

    Another excellent brunch. Good food, generous portions, many choices. Fantastic service. Love the location and the space. It is loud but the acoustics are good and there is no trouble hearing. Will be back.

    I don’t get it. I guess you’re paying for the name? And the heated outside area full of flowers (which is nice). Servers were nice but overwhelmed. You’ll get your food fast because they want to turn tables as quickly as possible…but then you’ll spend 10 minutes trying to wave someone down for the spoon you were supposed to get, another 10 for the ketchup you asked for and another 10 trying to feverishly make eye contact with someone to get your water refilled. I spent more time waiting for things that should just be part of a service than I did eating anything. I’ll be back in the winter when we are all sick of being inside just so we can sit in the heated outdoor area and pretend we are on vacation. Otherwise, total pass.

    We went for pre-theater brunch. Started with beet salad which was great. One of our party ordered an omelette. It looked like airline food and was inedible. She sent it back. I ordered the French dip. It was dry and looked like it had been sitting out for hours. I sent it back. We decided poached eggs had to be fresh so we both ordered the Norwegian. It was edible although the muffin was stale. The waiter was polite and understanding but I do not recommend this restaurant. It’s pricey and the food is terrible.

    We came with high hopes. They were dashed, all because of bad service. The wrong drink came. The waiter tells us “this one is better” and walks away. Not once did he come by to ask us how the meal was. 30 min after we finished the meal we had to ask for the table to be cleared and to see the dessert menu. For the prices they charge this was way below-average service.

    First we seated an absolute tiny table surrounded by seven other tables with barely any room to move. After trying another table which was so tight we couldn't even pull our chairs out enough to try and sit we were given a table downstairs which was very roomy and totally acceptable. The management was very accommodating. The service was also very good and attentive. The food was the problem. Other than the French onion soup and the frog's legs everything was terrible. I had Caesar salad and it was flavorless. As a main I had a $98 prime rib which was tiny and flavorless. My wife ordered the salmon which was also subpar. My daughter had the wagyu burger which definitely did not taste like wagyu beef at all and was overcooked. All in all for a $500 plus meal it was extremely disappointing and not worth the cost. I would not recommend.

    The service was terrible. It took a very long time to get our food. Although we had two hours for dinner (prior to theatre), we did not have time to order dessert since the food took so long to come out. They also forgot to bring us our drinks - we had to remind our server. They also forgot the main dish for one of the people in our party, so we all had hot food and waited until the last dish came out. Poor experience - we will not eat there again.

    We had a reservation. We were seated “outside” it was cold and damp. We were not offered a table inside. Waitress was ok. We saw her a a few times. Croque Madam was very wet. Mussel dish had 4 unopened mussels in a bland wine sauce. Boucherie burger ordered medium was cooked beyond well and was flavorless. Too many choices in NYC to pick this one again. Overall very expensive for what it was.

    Great service and great food. Critique is that the tables are a bit too close together and the volume of restaurant is loud so difficult to hold a conversation with your own party.

    We opted to eat out in the outer area since we had eaten inside last time. It was a tad noisy and “windy” so wound opt to go indoors again next time. Our cocktails were quite good but Sazeravc was a bit sweet. Escargots we’re good but like more earlier in them 🙂. Our entrees were good (lamb chops and duck confit) though the bordelaise sauce was a bit too intense). The Bordeaux wine we ordered was tight at first but smoothed out and opened up nicely. Our cappuccino and tea were both very good but we were not fond of our dessert (a French flan) that had hazelnut filling and was way too cold. Our server (Dorji) was superb and so polite, likable and professional….so nice to see that nowadays!! We’ll be back again for sure

    For the price, the food was just okay. The oysters were good, but small and no setup to properly enjoy. The restaurant is so dark, I could barely read the menu and so loud I could not really hear our server or even my wife. I’ve personally had better steak and pork at franchise restaurants for a fraction of the price. The dessert options sounded great, but failed miserably on execution. They were bland and uninspired. One saving grace was the coffee, which was very good. However, for what I spent there. I could have just gone to Starbucks and saved a bunch of money, if I just wanted coffee. If you are looking for a romantic evening in a fine dining environment, try somewhere else.

    Didn’t know what we were getting into when we booked. The place is HUGE and it’s popular, so it was crammed. The crowd noise was HORRENDOUS. We decided to gut it out in spite of this. The evening was saved by our charming and efficient young waitstaff person. And the food (standard French bistro fare) was pretty good.
