   LaParra has turned into one of our favorite places to go! All of their food has been fantastic! We try the specials pretty often & they are never disappointing! What really makes the place so special are the very friendly servers and expert advice on their menu choices! Nice wine list!

    Needs some noise baffling inside - something to soften the noise. Awfully loud so much so that you have to yell to the person across the table to be heard. Outstanding food and service!

    Girls night out — drinks and tapas. Excellent food. Wonderful sangria and cocktails. The hospitality was through the roof. Pepe is one of the best servers I’ve ever experienced! I will be back for a full night out and dinner with my husband!

    Food was delicious and the menu had choices for every palate. The drink menu was very diverse and fun. The service was great and very friendly. The guests ranged from couples to large families, and everybody seemed to be having a great time. It is a neighborhood gem, and it was great to see people recognizing friends that were also eating at the restaurant that day. Highly recommended.

    7 pm table for two, date night. We felt rushed. The four courses we ordered to share came all within about 10 minutes and before we even halfway finished with cocktails. We gave up in the idea of wine. The food should have been staggered and we were told they would be. This definitely detracted from the otherwise good food and drinks.

    This was first visit and found it to be enjoyable. We had a reservation and got there early but waited for an available table. Only seating was too close to the bar and didn’t feel like having someone butt in my face during dinner. Our table was set up close to the kitchen wasn’t too bad but a lot of traffic behind us…. Other the that the tapas we had were great and my smoked old fashion was good. we plan to return. Will probably plan a later dinner time. Our reservation was for six only because the seven time spot was full.

    The overall vibe of La Parra was super - the staff was friendly and helpful. Parking on Cermak was challenging but we learned there’s a lot behind the restaurant. The food was delicious but I would like to see more healthy and gluten friendly entrees; there seemed to be heavy cream and butter sauces. Nevertheless, it was a very nice dining experience.

    La Parra is only a few blocks away, yet every time we go it feels like a special trip. From the first cocktail until the aperitif, every part of the meal is always amazing. My wife and I go with friends, with our two boys (7 & 11 - very picky,) or just the two of us on a date night, and we're never disappointed. We talk to one of the owners every time we visit, because they make a point to check in on every table. 5/5 :-)

    Love this place and can’t wait to go back. We started with the crab cake appetizer, it was delicious. The presentation was beautiful. Our entrees were, lamb chops with potatoes & spinach, excellent! The 2nd entree, short rib’s & risotto, was very good. The only drawback was a little too much gravy but I would order this dish again and ask for less gravy. Drinks were very good. And the bread on the table served with a white bean oil and garlic spread so good!

    1st time I tried the Tuna Carpaccio was really good. Also had the relleno which was also very good. Lots of spice in both. Tried the lemon chicken was good and the crab cake. I’d probably go for the steak or pasta next time. Super busy but fun atmosphere. Had the smoked old fashioned very popular.
